Survivors should be able to repair pallets

For everyone who is going to read this I’m writing a multi part forum of different ideas that may or may not be suitable with dead by daylight, some of my forum will connect with one another so check each one I have posted.

-Survivors can repair pallets

With a feature of giving pallets durability, being able to repair gives a even playing field for survivors.

Giving survivors the ability to repair pallets would allow survivors from creating what the community calls a deadzone, with no pallets to stun or create distance from the killer.

Additional perks and add on to the tool box such as being able to repair pallets quicker or giving pallets more durability creates a great addition to the feature.

( Edit )

I too would find it concerning too if survivors could just easily repair pallets but that’s why I mentioned in another discussion I made about making it easier for killer to break pallets by making pallets have durability! As unrealistic it seems for a survivor to repair a pallet out of thin air you could add anew entity in which helps survivors, which I also mentioned in another discussion I made!

I recently did an old challenge that required using Any Means Necessary. The killer I got that match never kicked pallets for some reason.

I made his life a living hell and I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me he quit the game forever after that match.

Pallets are a limited resource for a reason. Survivors are supposed to use a combination of vaults and pallets to keep a chase going. If they waste the pallets, then they should be punished for it. Yes, it sucks ass when my teammates waste pallets and I'm left with nothing, but it would be hellish on killers if survivors suffered no consequences for their actions.

what do you mean repair pallets?

There is like a million of them already. if survivors pre-drop every pallets they find, if they are semi-competent at doing the gens, the map should still be having plenty of them left.

like in some instance, you can have, no kidding, 2 god pallet next to one another and you mean to tell me survivors would need to get more?

    hell to the no.

    It's just a bad idea.

    Why fix what isn't broken?

Haha, as silly as it sounds you totally could but not to 0. I mention of a new entity in one of my other discussions and you could make it to were once a generator is repair this new entity blocks the generator for 5 or 10 minutes from being damaged/ turned off. This way generators wouldn’t be quickly gen rushed and set back the survivors and this case give them more of a fighting chance by repairing generators

I completely understand that which is why this is just an idea and I appreciate comments like this on what the community thinks about it! I only mentioned these ideas because I heard a lot of people saying the game is too boring or too quick or something is overpowered so I’m just putting out my ideas on what could fix this issues whether they are bad or not

Entitlement from survivors has reached an insane level lately.

Or you can try conserving pallets on those tiles that very few so they aren't a deadzone after

Haha, they sure have but as a killer main I down survivors so quickly and only mentioned this along with a new pallet system to spice up the game.

Perk to fix pallets would be fine but it should take lot of time to fix pallet like 30-45s and maybe other limitations.

I could see there being a perk where you collect the wood from broken pallets to construct a new pallet.

For example; collecting wood from 3 broken pallets would let you make a new pallet. Creating the pallet would have an animation and skill checks. Failing a skill check would produce a loud noise notification and the pallet breaks.
