Eruption needs another nerf
Compared to Jolt, a similar perk triggered by downing a survivor, Eruption is still OP.
Regression
- Eruption: 10%
- Jolt: 8%
Gens Affected
- Eruption: Every generator kicked (up to 7)
- Jolt: Only gens within 32m (usually 0 to 2)
Late Game Strength
- Eruption: No loss of strength
- Jolt: As gens are completed, fewer gens within 32m means fewer or no gens affected
Bonus Effect
- Eruption: Show survivor auras for up to 12 seconds (!)
- Jolt: None

No it doesn't. Jolt has the bonus of being completely passive, you don't need to interact with Generators at all to activate it, you just need to get downs. Eruption has the caveat of needing to kick each individual Generator before it can activate on them, so it makes sense it'd be a bit more powerful when it activates.

No one is using eruption. Everyone switched to jolt.
Reason? Jolt is stronger.
Why? You don’t have to kick gens, just chase and down. It works great for three gens too.

If anything jolt needs a buff to either 40m 8% or 10% 32m possibly 10% total

isnt eruption capped at 3 gens kicked for its effect? you have to go out of your way to apply eruption, jolt is passive

It is a cost, though, it gives Survivors quite a lot of distance. I don't see how requiring a kick is an advantage, especially since the 2.5% regression is there regardless if you have Eruption equipped or not.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here. Eruption makes kicking Generators more effective but that doesn't mean that a perk having a kick requirement is an advantage. If Eruption applied passively then it would be objectively stronger.

I personally think Eruption still has value for killers that down with their power. It basically does for them what Jolt does for M1s, turning downs into potential regression, and incentivizes using your power when you can in the process.
