General healing nerf is a wrong step.
As killer I want to give everyone a fun match. I dont tunnel or camp. So Coh and DH deserve the nerf.
Though the general healing nerf is a wrong step. Between every survivors' action should have equal advantage for them to consider either do Gen or Heal.
There is no reason to heal in the PTB.

These were good changes, healing needed a nerf. Healing has been over tuned for quite a long time. This especially buffs the weaker hit and run/stealth killers who are generally speaking already the weaker killers to begin with. It also is only giving them the slow down if they're skilled enough to split pressure injure everyone so it's not free. This further incentives a more fun spread pressure play style and not tunneling, that is good design.
You ironically made a case for increasing gen times rather than making healing take less.

Healing deserved being nuked. It is not even slightly fair or balanced that you can self-heal in under 10 seconds with some items / combo item and perks.

Standard healing by other Survivors was left alone. This is how healing should be done. Currently Survivors take hits like it’s no big deal and quickly heal up. Taking a hit should be an actual setback, not a mild annoyance.

If you heal and the survivor now takes 45 seconds longer in chase then 3 survivor potentially can sit on gens for 45 seconds longer. Staying injured is going to be more scary since you no longer have DH as a get out of jail free card. All this change really does it makes survivors want to run Botany (16x1.5=24).

This will negatively impact solo queue far more than swf who can simply say "come to shack for heals."

Altruistic healing absolutely didn't need a nerf. This is a massive soloq nerf while swf will just shrug it off most likely.

Was it? People have been writing altruistic healing will now take 24s instead of 16, but I am not certain.
Edit: 24s nerf confirmed. Even standard healing got nerfed to the ground 🙄

You got me wrong. Survivors have 2 main thing to do. Gen or Heal while Gen has better priority. If Healing take the same time as Gen in the sample situation, people would just Gen rush.
Further more. If 1 survivor dies. 2 injured survivors literally can not afford to heal for 48sec, and the 4th survivor down, making infinity chase-unhook-heal and Gen will never be done. Unless again, ignore healing to Gen rush.
The problem of healing is a single Brown medkit can already save 16sec from another teammate to heal you, and it has various better versions, with Charge addons, and multiple it by 4.
16sec of Altruism healing is never a problem

Did you read the patch notes? Base heal speed changed from 16 to 24 seconds.
All healing, across the board, nerfed by 50%, including 'standard healing by others'.
The only exceptions to this are inner healing, renewal/second wind, and adrenaline which they haven't mentioned changing. But none of these are standard forms of healing.

They need to walk back the altruistic healing nerf. That's going to make solo queue even worse. Nerfing medkits and circle of healing was enough to address the biggest complaints that were actually justified. There's also the fact that sitting there healing someone for 24 seconds is.... boring to say the least.

That's sad, at least a healing by a teammate on you should be 16s still

I don't know how people are defending altruistic healing being nerfed. 32 seconds for 2 survivors to heal up is perfectly fine, 24 seconds for an entire team to self care was not fine.

Agreed. Medkit nerfs are good. Nerfing normal healing between 2 survivors is not.

The Devs do not believe solo queue exists. They always make changes based off of what killer mains say about swf. Solo queue is all I play and the state of the game has continually goes down hill since I started playing. Healing times are too long, killers who complain about quick heal times with items forget all of their perks and ons which make healing nearly impossible. BEHAVIOUR may not actively hate solo players, but they always ALWAYS ALWAYS give them the shaft.

hello Jinxed, im jinx3d

did you just forget the solo queue buffs they added

Guess so, what were they? The hub display icons? Those were helpful, not in a major way but they also benefit swf players, so it isn't a solo buff as much as an overall survivor buff, but not a super strong one. I always suspected half my teammates never even attempt to do gens; not sure if it is a buff to see my suspicions confirmed.

yeah because if your killer main, your only real challenge is SWF. Its sad to say but soloq is not the highest level of play for dbd. it is lowest level of play.

Honestly, with the other changes there's literally no reason to change base healing speed whatsoever.
Your options for healing yourself that would be affected by this are CoH, self care, and medkits.
Circle after the patch doesn't allow self heals, which instantly doubles the required heal time since you need another survivor. With 16s base that's 32 seconds spent healing one person. Not counting travel time, finding another person, or I guess we can add standing still doing nothing while the boon reveals your aura to teammates to the list.
Self care + botany is already ~30.5 second heal which makes it equivalent to being healed by someone else already. So by dedicating half your perks to it, you save only the time finding a second person.
Which leaves only medkits. If you really want med kits to be slower, you can add a self healing penalty to the med kit directly. There's zero reason to make a base kit, sweeping change to healing times if the end result should've been a -50% modifier on exactly 4 items in the game.

you are the good kind of person please stay with that

This is the worst patch notes ever read,, i wasn't even remotely as annoyed back at the meta shift patch,,, people will run prove and adrenaline even more,, gens will actually end up being faster because people will greed harder for gens and killers lose their only good regression perk
