Item interactions
In the next update, all interactions between killers and flashlights are being removed in an attempt to homogenize the killers. (Interactions other than blinding)
I think this could be better addressed if we added more item interactions between killers or new items. Instead of removing interesting interactions.
If this isn’t possible then perhaps look at how certain items are completely useless against some killers, like medkits against The Plague for example.

There was nothing interesting about most of these mechanics though. Getting burned as Wraith wasn't overpowered but it was very annoying. Burning Artist's crows just made her feel worse to play for no good reason. And the amount of difference having a flashlight vs. not having a flashlight made against Hag and her traps was dumb.

They didn’t say anything about the Nemesis. I think they forgot you can blind his zombies. It makes a HUGE difference against him.

It feels rewarding from the survivor’s point of view. I rarely play survivor, but on the off chance that I bring a flashlight and get to burn the Wraith it does feel awesome. Especially against Wraiths that don’t know how to zig zag to prevent the burn.

There are definitely interesting things they could do. They could make it so that a toolbox can be used to disarm Trapper's traps without making noise (not full sabotage like before), or toolboxes can use charges to repair locker locks when Dredge breaks them. Medkits can use charges to slow Plague's infection build-up, but not recover health while infected.

Yea there’s many different cool ideas they could try but instead all of these interactions are being cut from the game… why….
