Can We Buff DMS Now?
Pain Resonance no longer makes the survivor scream, so it should no longer work with DMS. This means that DMS can go back to 45 seconds, right?

Yes.
Also the devs have nerfed DMS to 30sec because they had to revert the Pain Res Change thanks to a Mechanic with Merciless Storm. To prevent the 40-Skillcheck-Merciless Storm, they brought back the Combo. Because this was happening, they decided to reduce DMS to 30sec. This is the past.
With that being said, the new Pain Res will - once again - no longer be able to synergyze with DMS, so DMS has to go back to 45sec in the progress, because 30sec on its own its a dead perk.
But I assume they let DMS die in the progress. No one needs this perk without PR with a duration similar to the free 4times Deadlock.

This is kind of a weird side effect that DMS is nearly dead because of PR being dead. Seems reasonable.

No, DMS needed to be nerfed regardless. BHVR’s actual reason for nerfing it was stupid though.

DMS isn't as bad as people think. 30 seconds of gen block right after a hook can be very, very powerful. Especially on characters like Blight or Artist that can force survivors off quickly after a hook. I think the perk is fine as it is.

You’ll get 20 seconds at most without Pain Res. Crap perk.
