lets discuss why is it ok for 2010 freddy krueger to be in dead by daylight?
i have no problem with the original freddy krueger but it is insulting and disrespectful that the 2010 freddy krueger is in this game especially considering his lore. it feels like it is a line that is to far that was crossed.

I guess that Warner Bros (They own Nightmare on Elm Street) was very strict with what BHVR is allowed to do with Freddy. WB is really "protective" when it comes to their franchises and mostly only do Crossovers with Franchises they themself own.
Its impressive that BHVR even could convince WB at all. The original Freddy would be much better, i agree. But hey, at least he's in and he even came with a Survivor and a Map, something that many other iconic Franchises in DbD don't have.

Had DBD been a thing before year 2000, the likelihood of OG Freddy making it into the game would have been much more likely.
What we did end up getting was probably the best deal we could have gotten at all considering how very protective New Line/Warner Bros are with their IPs overall.
Some rather we'd not have remake Freddy at all while others prefer remake Freddy in dbd than the OG, personally however i rather have Freddy in dbd than not have him at all since he, Bubba, Pig and Myers were the licenses to really put dbd on the map for people.

OG Freddy also had the disgusting part of the lore too, it was just more subtle and vague.

Yeah, its pretty much the same story. They toned it down a lot in the actual film but the context is there the entire time and even Wes said that much is the case. He wanted Freddy to be the "worst thing" he could think of. Robert England's Freddy is very much just as disgusting as Jackie Haley.

Let me get this straight... is this really a complain about a fictional killer being a monster in their lore and because it is a fictional killer monster in their lore they should not be in a game full of fictional killer monsters?
Is this real? Are we canceling fictional psychopaths because they do psychopath things in their fictional worlds now?

Ahh i now get what you mean. But there is a Character that is kinda "into that" too. In the Resident Evil 2 Remake you can find a "nice Picture" of Rebecca Chambers when she was 17 Years old in Weskers Desk. So Wesker is also too much?
As Batusalen said, we are talking about a fictional Psychopaths that turned into a Demon that hunt People in their Dreams. Sorry, but it's a bit silly to complain.

Not only that, but The Huntress background story is literally she raiding villages to kidnap little girls to take care of them over and over because "every time, the girls would waste away and die of cold or starvation or sickness". And all this while killing everyone else in the process, including the girls families... I don't know, this seems pretty bad too. Should BHVR remove her from the game, or because she wasn't getting "physical" it is fine?
Now, that is something worthy to discuss in the "Feedback" forum: Where we draw the moral line on the unacceptable horrific and monstrous things a fictional psychopath killer can do? We must figure out at what point should we start opening our Twitter accounts and tweet about it. Think about it! What is the limit before we grab our digital forks and start a new hashtag to cancel Jason Voorhees? We don't know!...

but it was implied he did what he was accused off(some theories even say he was wrongly accused) as 2010 freddy pretty much confirmed he did it

I think if I'm understanding what OP is saying, it's not because Freddy is some bad psychopath, but that the lore implications of bad things involving children, crosses a line. I agree. I like the older Freddy movies and the idea of him in general, scare-wise, I just wish his backstory would have been something better...less icky.
I think using Huntress as a comparison is poor. She has the mental capacity of a child and her intent was genuinely to have a daughter of her own to care for, she didn't understand what she was doing was wrong and why and why the girls were dying etc. whereas, Freddy intentionally sought out to destroy children.

You said it yourself, he is a bad psychopath that would do bad psychopath things. The whole point of my argument is that trying to draw a moral line of what a fictional bad psychopath do to fictional people in their fictional world is dumb. Super dumb. They are killers, they are more monster than person to the point some of them, like Freddy, became a literal monster. They have no morals.
"But getting physical with children is wrong and unacceptable" Yeah! We know! That's the whole point! That's why when the fathers burn him to the bones no one feels sad for him and we are all the movie wanting for the protagonist to kill him for good! He is a horrible monster that does horrible monster things. Trying to cancel a fictional killer monster for doing unforgivable things when that's the whole point of a fictional killer monster, again, is ridiculous.
And as you seem to have the moral scale of "unacceptable things a fictional killer should not fictionally do" figured out, please enlighten me of why what Huntress did (whatever her intentions was) is much less severe that what Freddy did at a moral level. More so when the results are the same: Multiple children dead. And don't forget Huntress also killed the whole family of the girls probably in front of them. And while you are at it, compare both cases to The Trapper, that most than probably killed hundreds and that's just in "the worst mass murder in modern history", as his real number of victims "is unknown".
They were "teenagers", maybe is a cultural / language thing but from where I am that is around the 16 years of age, from 13 to 18 approx. Should we start the hashtag know? Also, just because he did what he did to adults then everything's fine?

i am fine with the other killers i mean leather face wears peoples skins (and then was censored when those face masks were used for other things) but freddy is not culturally sensitive and sends out the wrong representation about dead by daylight to other videogame communities

That's not the same logic
The monster from Jeepers Creepers isn't the issue, the issue is the person who created him is. Freddy is a fictional character and doesn't get money for being in the game whereas the monster from that series of films likely would.
Even if he didn't, BHVR would never want to associate with a franchise that was created by someone like him.
To compare a fictional character's crimes to an actual irl person's crimes is a little disrespectful tbh

it is more for the presentation of the game...people get offended by the dumbest things in this game such as the aforementioned bubba skin mask fiasco; just because the masks are gone doesn't make those same people all of a sudden stop tunneling certain survivors
