Aura Effects Permanently Broken Since Day 1 of DBD
It really honestly blows my mind that this has never been fixed in the entire lifespan of the game.
For example, I start up a match of DBD with Lethal Pursuer.
I only see three auras..
I play out the match expecting to see Distortion, and here we are end screen and not one single Survivor had Distortion.
So what happened?
Well, I recorded that match and pulled up the tape.
No obvious signs of a fourth Survivor aura.
Let's rewatch it one more time.
And there it is. What happened was that in the very first second of the match, I had turned left a little.
With that view to the left and Lethal Pursuer active, there were a few very tiny pixels of a fourth Survivor aura taking 1 step and blending into a gen repair.
What's ironic is that if I didn't turn left, her aura would have shown even fewer tiny pixels, or frankly, none at all.
This occurs with every single Aura effect in the game.

Killers should see survivors' auras in pink, like how survivors see the killer's aura.

The issue is someone blending behind a gen. While you can kind of look below the gen and see their feet, a better fix would have a Survivor with their aura revealed change the color of the gen they are working on. I would instead not tie that to color, in the case of colorblindness, and instead have a symbol like Freddy teleport above the gen. That way you can see from the symbol that a revealed Surv is on the gen.

I didn't even mention how gen aura Perks on both sides also don't make any sense.
Did you notice that if you run the Surveillance perk and its gen aura effects that it won't properly work with numerous other gen aura perks such as Call of Brine, Eruption, and Discordance.

Lethal Persuer often is missing one or 2 auras without aura blocking perks :/ they could have spawned behind a gen i suppose.

Generator auras blocking survivor auras is intentional.
Once upon a time they changed it so that survivor auras were clearly visible through gen auras. At the time BBQ was one of the most used perks and lockers also didn't prevent aura reading so people asked for it to be changed as a way to counterplay BBQ. The devs changed it so that gen auras would block survivor auras and its been that way since.

They should change the survivor aura color (i.e. the same as they use for the killer as it is the "enemy" aura color) and make it so it draws on top of everything else, including any other visual cue.
I don't know how many times the "unhook" visual sound effect has blocked me from seeing where the survivors were going, aura reading or not.

Someone told me something like this before, and I wasn't able to find any proof of this being true. In fact, the only thing about changing the aura colors I found is in the wiki, that says they were "attempts at standardizing Aura-colours for specific meanings."
In fact, both survivors and generators have the "red" aura as they are the "main objective" of the killer. Which I see the logic behind it, but I don't know why they use that when there is an "Enemy" aura color, AKA the pink one that survivors see when revealing the killer's aura. That, and why survivors / killer auras don't renders above everything else.
And even if you were right, that's a free counter for survivors without using any perk or downside, so, more reason to change it.
By the way, they should change the Hex totem's aura color for the killer for the sames reasons, too.

Yeah, it's the notification bubbles. They block vision and auras very well. This is yet another thing that should be fixed or improved somehow. The Survivors experience it too with a few perks, iirc.
What remains an issue is that a survivor aura color is so insanely close to a gen aura color, something not even Survivors experience. You can't say it's both ways with that so leave it alone. It's broken.

I believe it was patch 2.0.0 with the change line "Adjusted the red aura intensity for killers on totems, bear traps, hooks and generators."
