Will gen defence get a buff?
I think they will go back on the healing nerfs mainly because it seems like they just threw it in there without thinking look at them not nerfing anti heal and recovery taking 50 seconds.
So when the healing nerfs get reverted(as they probably should) do you think they will buff gen defence or just leave it and say good luck?

I doubt it'll be a full revert. We'll likely see adjustments to the values and maybe a nerf of mangled that'll end up with longer heals than live, but faster than ptb.

Honestly it feels like they were nerfing gen defence and were like oh we need to do something to slow down survivors let's add healing nerf and that's as far as they thought it through

Can mangled even see nerfs while still making it worth running on a perk like sloppy? 20% wouldn't do anything as a nerf but lower would make it not worth it as a perk

I think that if they left the nerf to medkits, CoH and the absolutely butchering of DH, they could probably let that patch go live.

A reduction of 5% would make the healing time increase equal to same amount as current servers. Mangled increases healing time by 6 seconds on PTB. at -15% speed, it would increase it by 4 seconds. The exact same increase as live version. Live version is 16+4.

Problem is everyone will be running healing perks. If you run botany it will be 24x1.15=27.6/1.5=18.4. Mangled would add 2.4 seconds to a heal in that scenario

u can revert the healing just give killers basekit corrupt and dead lock already.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they reverted the healing/medkit nerfs but left all the gen regression nerfs in place.

Yeah. We have so many people complaining about altruistic healing speeds, when there are so many healing speed perks that can completely undo the slower basekit altruistic healing speeds.

This is my biggest worry. Gens already fly even with the current gen defence so by removing that without any kind of compensation are just going to make hens go faster. I think it would be ok if they nerf all gen defence but set base regression at 200%(half survivor repair speed). Not been able to slow gens down is only hurting the weaker killers that cant apply pressure across the map.

I don't think they should of changed altruistic speeds but self heals and medkits did need changes. The problem is though injured Survivors can still do gens and prerun. It's really only casual players that it's going to hurt because either they spend half the match trying to heal or go down in 2 seconds because they aren't good in chase.

No Gen defence won't get buffed... And proof of it is what they already have done to it in the past
Ruin- unused or not worth it
Pop- unused or not worth it
Eruption- not used as far as I can
Now with these changes Call Of Brine and Overcharge won't be used as much
And the healing changes might be tinkered with further but it won't change much

But eruption is the second best regression perk after thus patch. Jolt been the best imo.

It will be interesting to see what the final patch notes will look like. I've certainly never seen a player base more opposed a meta shake-up in my life.

I’m anticipating CoB and Overcharge to go to 150 personally as compensation for healing not getting as heavily nerfed.

i wish they just tweaked some of the things like the downed recovery time and made healing others better using medkits then this update would be great and maybe tweak the healing slowdown perks on the killer side without absolutely butchering them.

I hope not. 150 isn't worth using, and uses up perk slots. Meanwhile, reverting survivor healing nerfs is a big win for survivors since that wouldn't take up perk slots.
The result would be survivors getting their nerfs reverted for free, because the killers wouldn't get anything useful as compensation.

Remember survivor progression is 4 time the killers regression. Survivors will still progress 250% faster and thays if the killer wastes the time kicking the gen.

I was so excited for a new meta where gen regression perks or tunneling wasn’t going to be necessary in high end matches so it’s pretty disappointing that they’re probably going to pull back on the healing changes.

People crutch way to hard on perks, the ideal version of DBD to me is a game where the perks, addons, and offerings provide very small upsides or carry large downsides.

Yeah keep coping with them reverting healing but leaving killers nerfed.
Accept your new meta and not being able to bodyblock bully heal 24/7.
There is no way they go back on it unless they BUFF killers directly.
The uproar for reverting the survivor changes (because we are survivors we don't get nerfed attitude, we can kill dbd....) But giving the killers a still nerfed 150 cob would flat out kill the remaining few killers.
They know the stats, they know killers are a dying breed and the last 2 killers being horrendous and pop at an all time low... To nerf both sides but undo one and still nerf the other, while gens already fly, would be hilarious.

The problem with CoB and Overcharge is they both do the same thing, which makes it impossible to balance them individually.
You make either of them strong and combined they're OP. Make them too weak and they're only worth running together.
CoB was absolutely fine at 200%, but adding a regression bonus to Overcharge screwed up any possible balance.
Instead they should have doubled down on skill checks. Made Overcharges skill check zone 25% smaller, faster, or without a notification sound. Added additional regression penalty to missing it, and a base regression even if you do hit it. If Overcharge guaranteed say 7.5% regression for hitting the skill check, and 15% if it was missed, if it was touched within 60s, it would still combo well with CoB as a 'hedge your bets' mechanism so you gain value regardless of how soon a survivor touches the gen, without being completely oppressive when you do manage to hold survivors off a gen for 60s.

CoB was ok it only regressed the gen at half survivors repair speed. That means if you did get a full 60s worth one survivor can undo that in 30 seconds. The 200% should be killer base and I honestly think the rest of the regression perks wouldn't be that bad. You could definitely make CoB and OC not stake and the regression would actually be nice.

You must be new here. They are definitely either going to revert the healing nerfs completely or just partly they will never go live like this. The problem with your theory btw is I'm a killer main. I've seen og BnP, real insta heals and infinites which are making a come back for some reason. Old DS was in the game for 4 years as the most broken perk ever.

Well, Pain Res got an okay buff at least but Overcharge/CoB getting ignored is more than questionable indeed.

true, but it takes a perk slot which means no Prove or Adrenaline or DS or OTR or.... Having to heal with a teammate is far better for the killer because it generally slows down the game and it also requires coordination by the team which means solo-players will likely bring perks like Bond, Empathic Connection, Empathy...
8% is nothing and it's not even guaranteed to trigger one or even multiple gens. The perk feels like a QoL thing but not a strong perk that changes a game (like Eruption, old Pop etc did)

well what I did say Blueberry. Forcing everyone to be injured the entire game is going to create unfun experience for survivors. they tried ptb and many survivor complained about unfun experience. As a result, the change got reverted. weakening healing is too high-level of a change. BVHR tends to balance around middle-level survivor. A change like that is high-level survivor change. soloq is not at that level yet to do a sweeping change like that. Healing coordination is not there. Its kinda why I said that hit & run is more perk play-style more so then a general gameplay loop for killer. healing that slow is ok if you commit 2 perks for anti-healing but just giving that to every killer for free base-kit is too severe.

My biggest problem with PR is its a scourge hook. Now you can maybe get it 4 time as long as there's a hook near.
