deadlock and pain res
So gens blocked by deadlock dont regress by pain res is what I heard.
If that is the fact I want to know why, gens can be regressed by jolt while blocked so why doesnt it work in this case?

A blocked gen doesn't lose progress due to being in the regression state, but they should still lose progress from perks that apply an immediate loss of progress such as Jolt and Pain Res.

ideally blocked gens shouldn't be effected by literally anything but that's prolly just spaghetti code

yes, I know that ruin wont regress blocked gens but jolt will with its immediate removal but I've heard multiple times it also doesnt work with pain res while blocked by deadlock or am I just stupid?

Considering we've had countless bugs with blocked gens and regression, it could just be bugged.
But at least according to the wiki page, immediate damage from perks like Jolt should still affect blocked gens.

Pain Res will target the next progressed gen in the situation that the one with the actual most progress is blocked. I think the reason Jolt works is cause it doesn’t care how progressed the gen actually is, while Pain Res will only target the most progressed gen, which a progressed gen that’s blocked is probably treated as having no progress.

I thought I noticed this once when a gen near me with about 5% progress blew up whilst the gen blocked was going like the clappers. Not too helpful lol
