Bullysquads are ENTIRELY out of control
I played two matches today and both were marked by abhorrent bullying by the survivors, I simply couldn't bother playing any further after this.
The matchmaking and map design were so blatantly survivor sided that it took me four gens to secure my first hook. With no other option but to camp I kept hooktrading just to end up with a 1K anyway. It was an extremely onesided experience and to make matters worse they verbally abused me for being unable to compete against these sort of odds.
Another unwinnable match, once again the survivors were playing like a sweat-hitsquad while I was struggling to down anyone. Circle of Healing completely nullified any damage I put out. In the end Nancy even had the audacity to ask me if I feel ashamed for losing to the survivors. It's absolutely abhorrent how survivors like these full-knowingly abuse their role to bully killer players with.
The game is extremely survivor sided in its current state and bullysquads know it damn well. They show no remorse when it comes to exploiting their busted role.
They revel in harassing and insulting the killer while a simple m1 killer player like me can do NOTHING to stop their relentless assault on my sanity. Dead by Daylight is a bully simulator and nothing else.

Be prepared for all the surv mains to tell you to "git gud" while they blatantly cry in every other thread that tunneling and camping need to be nerfed or heavily penalized bcs it is "no fun gameplay"...
I always thought the simple fact, that one side of the game is even remotely able to bully the other side while completing their objective as a "side quest" should clarify how blunt and easy their whole objective is...
But apparantly, we are balancing the game for survivors that dont know what looping is bcs they bought the right to win against killers with theit 40th feng min skin 🙃

Yeah it happens, best thing I can suggest is turning off chat and ignoring it. And just remind yourself that these losers are bragging about beating some random stranger at a video game, and that they brought 3 of their friends together to "bully" said stranger in the game. It's sad really.
Also judging from the screenshots you didn't actually get "bullied" maybe you shouldn't lie to start another us vs them argument that makes survivor players look like the devil.

What exactly made them bullies? Was it just the way they acted at end game chat?

You know when you see a MacMillan map offering you are gonna have a bad time.
11 -
Ah yes. A bully squad consisting of a Jane going for adept, and a Dwight from a different platform.
37 -
in the second picture, the dwight has a globe icon, meaning that he’s from a different platform than the rest of the players.
Granted, it’s still possible he’s playing with them, but without additional context I have to assume he’s not with the others.
13 -
3 of the 4 players on each team are not even using an item. So you’re getting 3 man escapes against weak, low prestige teams.
Not really sure what to say because I don’t lose to teams like this. Have you tried bullying them back? Tunneling, camping, and slugging are valid strategies.
16 -
I mean in 2 matches you scored more BP than 7 out of 8 survivors.
No 4k's so you're mad?
24 -
I mean...you can do that on killer too. Bad matchmaking is bad matchmaking regardless of who it favors. A good killer player can sleepwalk to a 4k just as easily as a good survivor squad can meme to a 4 out.
14 -
cool story bro
11 -
Looks like the Jane got tunneled out immediately too, this why you can’t bring fun perks on either side as the other side will quickly abuse it
18 -
Yknow to actually add something as well, these dont seem like bully squads at all
14 -
For a bully squad I was at least expecting 4 purple flashlights or 4 hook offerings with sabo and toolboxes to sabo with or a stack of coordinated Head Ons.
7 -
No juicy medkits
No juicy toolboxes
No sabo builds
One flashlight in two games
One Dead Hard
Only 2/8 using adrenaline
Am I missing something here? No offense but this is an easy win for any experienced player. Maybe you just aren't very good? Crazy to me how so many killer mains refuse to accept that this might be a possibility. My average killer match is significantly more difficult than this and I still have no trouble winning far more games than I lose. Maybe record yourself playing and let someone critique your gameplay.
29 -
What does "bully squad" even mean anymore? Just one item in each game, none of the usual "haha we're not here to do gens" perks like stacked Head Ons or other meme stacks like no mither sabo squads or something, not even stacked Dead Hards or something. Of course them being jerks in post game chat isn't something I defend at all but.. huh?
9 -
Killers need more buffs
Remove the ability to run from survivors

Some of you still are wondering about the definition of a bully squad. I'm literally talking about bullies harassing me in the aftergame-chat, relentlessly taunting and harassing me for the outcome of the match. Also the fact that I consistently get games like this on various m1 killers only proves two things:
1) Matchmaking literally doesn't work, it doesn't adapt to my skill level.
2) Map design is so blatantly broken that it doesn't matter what items or perks the survivors bring, they can win easily.
1 -
Not going to say get good, but I've seen actual good players on killer who regardless of SWF or not, stomp. Go watch Hexy (if you care to, just for a lil bit) and he'll give you perspective on how bad or good of a killer you are in relation.
Too many people playing killer nowadays who think they're good, and when they lose, its just excuse city out of them. And these people are often times the loud ones who preach about how underpowered killers are and how OP survivors are.
Anyways sorry that happened to ya in end-game chat. Hopefully you have a better experience going forward.
8 -
Jane was the weakest link, she didn't bother healing and kept touching gens while the rest of the team abused CoH on RPD. It's an absolutely disgusting map to play on, it's akin to a herculean task to score a single kill on there.
0 -
I implore you to look up my previous thread history, this is an ongoing issue which clearly proves that the game is unable of matching me with survivors of appropriate skill level. The MMR system is extremely flawed, period.
0 -
People bullying you in endgame chat does not qualify them as a "bully squad", a bully squad is a SWF that brings overpowered items and perks and relentlessly bullies the killer to be annoying and refuses to do their objective just to fool around. Most bully squads aren't even actually trying to win. These are just toxic players, not bully squads that are out of control
15 -
I understand that it can be annoying, especially when people are being rude in EGC. But honestly, it's not like they had a gen-rush build, or were sabo-squads that sent you to a certain map to abuse boil-over etcetera.
Turning end-game-chat off might help a lot. Also, everyone has bad/horrible games sometimes, maybe take a break or play during different times/days? Or pair up with your friends and play a couple of customs. Do something that is fun to you and makes you happy.
6 -
So... are we not going to talk about the NOED?
Also looking at perks alone I don't think that was a SWF at all to begin with.
Also poor Jane, you literally tunneled her out of the match.
11 -
I already took a considerable break when the RE4 remake came out, it didn't really make a difference. The game's equally miserable no matter how many breaks I take, it's just nonstop frustration from being mocked by the survivors while underperforming 90% of the time with no relief in sight. If only matchmaking would actually work.
0 -
NOED is a mandatory pick because I keep getting games like this, what else am I supposed to do? The survivors usually bring Adrenaline anyway to undo any damage I dish out. Also Jane played extremely questionable, she could have abused CoH like the rest of her mates on the RPD map but instead she stayed on the half of the map without that godforsaken boon totem. Without her this would have been a blatant 0K.
0 -
Noed is never worth a perk slot because you're counting on not doing good and letting survivors into the endgame.
I don't mean to be rude, but I'd say there's a lot of room for improvement on your end.
12 -
Bully squads??
1 -
I could maybe see how the first match was difficult, especially considering your build. They BM'd you a little in the end-game chat? That's not even bad, move on.
I dislike the term "bully squad". It trivializes bullying into being Survivors trying to annoy the Killer.
You clearly did fine in both matches. Your point totals and the Survivors are close.
The 2nd match looks totally winnable. Probably down to your own play. Seriously, Jane was doing her Adept. They aren't running the same 4 perks.
I'd say to just take a break if regular salt upsets you that much. It's not worth the toll it'll take on you.
15 -
Are you serious? NOED is the only thing giving me a shot at dealing with this busted matchmaking. Without it I'd probably get no kills at all. Also how is it sweaty to want to get ONE kill at least? I'm not asking for a complete wipeout here. I'd be happy if I could even get a 2K but that's simply not happening.
0 -
And you're telling me I shouldn't have taken the opportunity to secure my only kill by taking down the weakest link in their team?
0 -
I expect them to stay humble if they're going to abuse (yet to be nerfed) stuff like Circle of Healing and questionable map design (RPD is a great offender in that regard). Insulting and mocking me for falling short against these type of odds is simply pathetic and uncalled for, that's what I hate the most.
0 -
None of those are bully squads. You wanna see a bully squad? Try a 4 man with no mither, ub, expo, sabo boxes, badham offering with basement in shack, running to main every time they take chase, and going down in basement with a breakout ready nearby.
6 -
I mean you pulled 1k in both matches and got plenty of bp. These definitely weren't bully squads. Just survs who outplayed you and were toxic af in endchat. Not condoning that but it's definitely not a bully squad. You just got genrushed.
A bully squad would've been pulling sabo plays, bodyblocking, beaming and tbagging all game. Only 1 DH You played a couple hard games and a couple of the survs got salty. First game probably a 4 man swf who were mad you killed their mate. Second game was definitely not a swf with that dwight.
8 -
Bully and Bully Squad are 2 very different things, which I think is where the majority of issues in this thread lie. Those games were undoubtedly not a bully squad, and some of OP's issues lie more to do with the game itself than the players, however at the same time it takes more effort to type something rude in endgame chat than it does to just move on and a lot of the time if you're just using the endgame chat to be mean or spiteful then you need to learn to stop holding grudges over a video game for more than 2 minutes.
3 -
Possible but very rare.
3 -
If you're having such a big problem with COH you could always run Shattered Hope instead of endgame reliant perks, this allows you to destroy their boon and if they want to put it back up they have to find another more potentially unsafe placement spot, this would have been a significantly better choice than Rancor or Terminus from the looks of it.
Also, people telling you that you have room to improve is quite humble, I wouldn't call that "insulting and mocking" in quite a few cases here, most people are being respectful, they are simply questioning your logic, or providing advice, which frankly, if you are on the forums consistently talking about "bad matchmaking", and people running perks that you yourself are aware are soon to be nerfed, and bad maps everywhere, it sounds like you could use a coach.
Killer is not an easy role to play, and a lot of people here are providing legitimate advice and suggestions that would make your game experience more positive, it's possible that you are taking a lot of these suggestions harshly because you are frustrated and want the game to change, and that's okay, but you should do your best to recognize that there are a lot of people here who want to understand your thought process and help you.

There is so much wrong here
First of all, generic endgame BM is not "bullying". And if it really bothers you that much there is absolutely nothing stopping you from turning off chat or literally just moving onto the next game.
Second of all, Knight isnt even an M1 killer, and if youre playing him like that then we just found your actual issue.
Lastly, maps can be pretty frustrating and a deciding factor of why you lost a game. How ever this is only on the extremes of being a mid/lower tier killer and a map that directly counters that killer. Billy on Lery's for example.
Here's my advice for when you have a bad game: Acknowledge your mistakes and move on to the next, even in games that seem unwinnable.
8 -
How do you know it's "very rare"? I would wager it's probably incredibly common.
0 -
Especially with Discord being on Xbox and Playstation.
1 -
Na those are just toxic. Bully squad is a highly coordinated team setting you up for pallet, flashlight stuns and head ons.
Makes me laugh people using the word killer when comparing skill levels of others. Every killer on every map is at the same power right. Lol
0 -
So these don't look like bully squads, and I'm going to hazard a guess the messages in endgame chat are solely due to a few things you did in particular, the admitted camping your first hook in game 1 plus the noed and what looks like the Jane getting tunnelled out early in game 2 and yet them still getting a three man out, from the survivors perspective you played very unfair/unfun and still lost so they're going to rub it in.
I think most of the issues you're running into in your games from reading this thread are down to three things, one your build doesn't synergize with your killer power, outside of save the best for last I'd say none of the perks in either game are really that good on Knight, what he excels at is area denial so gen regression perks and slowly grinding the survivors in a war of attrition is the way you're going to have to go to get wins with him, always try to identify what the killer is good at and then make your build around that, it tends to work a lot better than trying to compensate for their weaknesses with perks. Two you're using noed, noed is a newbie trap, it turns games where you should lose outright into games where you can get one or two kills or even a win. The game doesn't differentiate between a 4k at five gens left where you dominated and a 4k at no gens left where you got dominated but won by noed, unless you're absolutely certain you're at top MMR there is always another bracket to go up where you'll get tougher and tougher opponents so getting those wins you really shouldn't be are making your future matches even more miserable and hopeless. Third and this one you can't really do anything about is since our mmr is hidden you don't really see evidence of your improvement since with mmr even when you're steadily getting better you won't feel the difference in your matches, in the old days with the grade system when I started playing killer I'm sure I would have felt like you feel except for the fact that I could see myself get stuck at a rank for awhile and then suddenly even though I didn't feel any difference in my play or the matches I'd shoot up to the next colour so I knew I'd improved even though I wasn't certain how I had, I think this is the main weakness with the current mmr system, players not knowing they are improving and thus when you're in the mushy middle and improving you can feel like you've hit a wall even when you haven't.
In conclusion, if I were you I'd rethink your killer builds for knight and know that your matches will get better and easier with more experience because even though you can't see it reflected in your matches or in any stat know that you are getting better at the game the more you play.
5 -
Yep. Not to mention the globe could easily not be consoles as well, and be epic or windows store.
0 -
Why are you even using the knight?
0 -
Just a question. Not trying to downplay your experience but how come the Nancy "had the audacity to ask you if you felt ashamed for losing to Survivors" but did not put any physical image to prove it. With the first team, you put their end-game chat messages, but you never did it with the Nancy?
Also that final team I would not even count as a "bully squad", not every team you lose to is a bully squad. There was an Adept Jane, and nothing to really indicate if they even played together (I know some people will say "they are the same platform" but that literally indicates nothing most of the time). Im really tired of people using the term loosely, when like 95% of the teams they faced are people just playing the game and trying to have fun, I cant tell you how many times Ive been labeled a "bully squad" despite being SoloQ all because I got a few flashlight saves or played extremely well. But I digress.
The only time I actually care about losing a match and/or people harassing post-game is if people DDOS me, which has happened, but 95% of the time I just say "ggwp" and go next. If people are actually playing with the intent to "bully" you or make you upset, it is better to not give them the attention they want. It can definitely be hard to get into this mindset, but it is definitely worth doing, the DBD community can be vicious sometimes, you really have to grow thick skin (I do not mean this in a mean or malicious way, I am just trying to offer advice). Realistically, you cannot change the people around you, they can only change themselves, but you can change yourself and your mindset; it is a bit sad that this is the only thing that can be done, but it is just how things are.
10 -
Daily rituals, that's why.
I did not provide a screencap of that conversation because I didn't capture the relevant part. Chronologically speaking that match was the first one of the day, it was the encounter with the 2nd survivor group which completely made me lose my patience with these godforsaken creatures which prompted me to gather whatever material I had. The fact remains however that Nancy tried to seriously shame me for losing a game as a killer. I'm sick and tired of toxic filth.
0 -
Poor Jane being rewarded for playing adept
8 -
Its a consequence of how much survivor is easy mode and unbalanced.
2 -
If online banter like this gets you so riled i think it is unfortunately time to log off. Like jane was adepting and the other perks they brought were fair. Also this doesnt show the whole story, did you bm or try to tunnel and lost? I would understand if it was a full swf on comms holding you hostage for 40 minutes but this seems like a normal dbd match
6 -
I see it as rather childish treating anyone nastily online. Why because the killer tried to have fun or win so you gang up like school kid bullys.
Like people are in the wrong for playing killer in the first place. Reality check no game without kilker end of. I play both and get camped and tunnelled if my team let it happen. Doesnt bother me as much as being left to reach second stage for no reason.
Im guilty of calling out stupid survivor plays or lack of but thats it. Sometimes its just beyond stupid and they need to be told.

If you think those few sentences are bullying, you haven't experienced much. Is it rude, yes. Is it bullying, not really.
