Getting Tunneled is fun

I can only speak for myself and considering most of the discussions out there this is probably a massively unpopular opinion however personally i stand by it.

When playing as a survivor nothing is more fulfilling than having a long chase and being the reason your team won,and tunneling allows exactly that. All the killers attention is on you,so you have the opportunity to hard carry your team, with the whole map at your disposal as well as occasional bodyblocks. You can't complain your team is going down in seconds, and if your mates are not doing gens then you are just in a sad mmr bracket.

On top of that i don't find escaping to be particularly exciting.Bloodpoints are overflowing, the novelty wears off,but the rush of being chased all game, and juicing the killer is unmached.I would rather die and have my whole team escape as a result rather then be the Claudette in the background doing gens and not interacting with the killer.

I do understand however, why some people find it miserable,i also think having another teammate tunneled is the most anti gameplay experience out there. On top of that, the killer hard camping into a tunnel is just straight up bs and annoying to face.

And then you carry your team but they throw what you did because they were bored doing nothing but gens all game.

I would also say getting tunneled without anti-tunnel perks doesn't feel good. You don't get the full chase since it started with you being injured.

The problem with tunneling is not when you're the one getting tunneled, but rather when your (incompetent) teammate is tunneled and you lose the game without anything in your control

Your title should be "being chased is fun", since that's what you're actually describing.

I feel like more and more people don't even know anymore what tunneling/face-camping is and just throw around the words they hear 😅

I agree with this. But unfortunately in my experience most survivors have a much broader view of the definition of tunneling

It's not that bad as long as I've got something to loop. If you get hooked in the basement or a deadzone you are pretty much F'd. Having nothing to loop and going down to a Pepega because of it is quite frustrating.

It's also not fun at all for the other 3 people that will (hopefully) just be doing gens to go next.

I don't mind it because I have thousands of hours of experience and know how to counterplay every killer in the game. It's not so fun for the default cosmetic Dwight with 100 hours.

I wish I was tunneled more often, but usually when a killer figures out that you know what you're doing, they're far less likely to tunnel you.

I dissagree, killes don't fully commit to you unless they are terrible or tunneling. An example would be if make it to a fun buss with a middle window tough luck, the killer HAS to mindgame it,and if shack happens to be near thats a wrap. But when the killer is just chasing you he will leave the moment he realises the tile ahead is to strong.

The 10 seconds of bt plus the speed boost allow you to get to safety 90% of the time.If somehow they don't or it's a common occurrence just bring ds,or off the record or get a teammate to body block for you.

Fully agree,I even mentioned it in my post above, that having someone else in your team get tunneled sucks

I gave my opinion on tunneling like I said we all have a different take on it.

I agree. When you are tunnelled, you learn to loop faster because it puts you in stressful situation. The most pleasure thing is when you outplay tunneller.

Problem with tunneling in solo q is teammates who don’t know what to do. I had games where I was tunnelled for 5 gens if other 3 survivors repaired generators, but they all three preferred to tank hits which I didn’t even needed.

I also like when you get tunnelled and your mate is healing. Chill bro, you are not the killer’s interest, go genrush.

But you are wrong at that the whole map at your disposal. You have no right to loop around gens which are being repaired, and even more you can’t get down near these gens, the killer will receive a lot of impact from this.
