Seriously, how do you expect the devs to actually balance this game?
they literally can't do anything because some of you will complain about everything.
Of course some of their changes are questionable, I agree with that but when they try to do something different for a change that can modify the whole game for better or worse,there will always be complaints no matter what they do.
I feel that the more the community or even the devs themselves want a competitive game, DBD is getting pretty limited and monotonous in terms of what they can do.
" You can't do that because it will encourage tunneling..."
" With this change, camping will be worse.."
" this change will make nurse and strong killers even stronger.."
" this change will affect new players.."
" Soloq will get even worse"
" the devs only listen to one side.."
The community is trying to achieve a goal that is simply not possible and this is limiting the game more and more. DBD will always have flaws like any other game and it's time people accept that.

Totally agree with you.
But I really don't know how to get rid of this issue.
There are a group of players, play like this is a pve party games and want Dev balance around them.
As long as dev need these players to play the game,Dev has please them which leads we here.

add second objectives for survivor and killer so it takes pressure of both partys.

If you want to hear intelligent people, don't write on this forum. It's full of toxic people who think they know everything about this game and probably they have 200 hours and never played one of the two sides. Veterans who play both sides and understand the game, sadly, are very few.

remember before nurse was nerfed? "but you can't do those changes to perks or killers because nurse exists"
It's crazy later on the game gets stale and people will totally go back to talk about tunneling..

True... but for me it's like do they understand why perks are "meta" and 2-3 Killers are strong and 2-3 Killers are weak (the rest are in the middle)
Some of the changes are welcomed to see on paper but in practice it's more like a nightmare... and the opposite is true as well

Yeah, people find ways to complain about anything. The devs could make a change with no negatives whatsoever, and this community would still find a way to complain about it. As a friend of mine said "Bro it's the DBD community, they want everything removed from the game."

Problem with this game is instead of having multiple game modes with the killers/perks split up between modes they have them all in one game mode that's already difficult to balance because assym. One killer with specific perks will be OP while other killer with same perk load out will be extremely weak. Same with survivor perks v them, one survivor load out will be OP against specific killers but others will be nearly useless.
Basically we need a DBD 2 with killers/perks(both sides) separated into different modes. Would be much easier to balance different game modes that have specific killers/perks than balancing current DBD where there's too many variables to properly balance it.

People just like to beat around the bush and delude others like they are influential.
I have never seen a game balancing around casuals, not around top players.

They need to just have a experienced dev team, have a clear vision and do it. Stop looking at data sheets and feedback as much.

Oh no, they can do SOME things, but anything related to large-scale survivor nerfs musn't come to live. The survivors will scream as loud as possible to deny this, and since the game is 80% survuvors, their voices will be louder.
And if you want to respond with:
"Killer perks don't get destroyed either!"
because they didn't destroy pain res in this patch...
What happened to eruption? Wasn't it a meta perk before? Now its a 10% regrssion on a down and uh, an aura while your hooking someone.

I don't know why I still come to this forum.
It just makes me shake my head in pity that some people think being toxic is funny. It's a sad state of affairs.

Game will never be balanced because 4v1 probably can't be. Doesn't stop me having fun as killer.
Heck I play all the rubbish killers and don't put on any add-ons - mainly because I can't be bothered reading about what they do :)

I have never seen any fighting game community get so much offensive/defensive on the balances issues, and you know in those games people expect almost everything to be properly "balanced".

Things you've listed as 'complaints' are design constraints. Constraints are GOOD for the game.
The community isn't at fault for this game's balance issues.
Either someone at BHVR is stifling the developers' creativity, or their design team has struggled to think outside the box. Historically, this game's balance patches have been very reserved. This game won't be balanced, simply because BHVR refuses to take the necessary action to get there.

I dont think that is true. steamroll games are boring, after all. The thing is, neither side wants to be steamrolled.
And again, too few people really have an idea how balance should look like. A lot of survivors argue from a solo pov, while killer usually tend to talk about swf if they demand nerfs. Both sides are kind of right, and the fault lies with the devs for not seperating solo and swf queue.
I for one play 2 sides, and the changes that were proposed were a loss-loss situation for me. Because as survivor, it would have really made my matches worse, while as killer, it wouldnt have helped vs swf in the slightest, which is the only time i really need some more to go on as killer.
