Can we please nerf basement bubba already?
This playstyle is beyond stupid. Wow im going to start a match so I can sit in a corner and camp anyone unlucky enough to go down near the basement.
All we need is to bring him in line with other killers who can't activate their power within 8 meters of a hooked survivor. There's no reason the power with the best camping potential just still be like this

Sorry but your solution won’t do anything with basement Bubba because he can camp upstairs. It's just a strategy that you need to learn how to play against, and the resources of most maps allow you to loop Bubba for at least 3 gens. Moreover, IMO facecamp/basement Bubba is just a canon that should be protected. Anyway, you can still exchange if there is a pallet nearby. But Bubba will always take at least one.

It's the movie accurate way to play him. Also usually folks who do it will just let you do gens as you don't go in the basement.

Honestly I think basement should be one of the next game mechanics that the devs take a look at. There are a lot if killers that are too good at camping basement, e.g. a Trapper using bloody coil and placing traps around shack with basement is strong to the point that there is almost nothing survivors can do unless they're a SWF. I feel like the devs should just look at giving the basement a few balance tweaks to see if there's any realistic ways to potentially combat these playstyles.

Skill issue
Git gud at looping
Bubba was in basement all movie
He loves it

Basement Bubba is hilarious

Just leave him alone, Jesus.
I don't even know what to said.
It just like punch a rock with your hands and asking people to punish the rock for hurt you.

I don’t understand how anyone can think this is healthy gameplay. A face camping bubba with deadlock and noed is guaranteed at least a 2k (more than likely a 3-4k) against solos. It’s lazy gameplay and design. A simple change could be something like: after x amount of time within x meters of a hooked survivor, the chainsaw will injure but not instadown.

There are a bunch of killers where you just die if they camp the basement. He presents the issue that he can make any hook equal to basement scenarios. You can just not go down near basement but how do you deal with bubba if every hook is basically basement? The only answer is basically treat every bubba game where they will camp you to death and play super safe. Really bad game design honestly.

It's called mixing it up. After 6 matches of hard looping and pounding gens against stacked slowdown perks it can be refreshing to have a different kind of game. If you're raging about being camped out by a bubba I think you're more angry with losing then with how you lost. Killers lose all the time because of things they can't control (a billy who gets taken to bedham for example) sometimes if you get a few really bad matches in a row you just want to chill by a hook and spend time with your favorite survivor. Let's not take that away from poor bubba.

So because you might have lost a few games, we should encourage having a 1 chase game with basically no interaction after the first down? If you don’t actually want to play a real match as killer why not just play survivor? Lol.

If Bubba is face camping in the basement and he gets more than a 1k
then I'm sorry my friend
but that's on you and/or your team.
Basement also does not need to be changed. It should be a place you want to avoid for a damn good reason.

Because playing solo q survivor you are at the mercy your team and the killer. As a basement and preferably insidious bubba you are in complete control of your game. If survivors do what they should and pound gens and leave than you get a one k. If not than you might get a lovely tree in the basement. Basement bubba isn't about the 4k. It's a alternative way to play the game. You can 3 gen. You can hit and run. You can do cool snipes with huntress and ph. There are many fun ways to play and basement bubba is just another alternative. It's one that's intirely up to the survivors on weather it's a 2k or a 4k.

There is no 3 out against a bubba that camps with deadlock, no way out and NOED. The first person will be dead before the other 3 finish gens and no way out/NOED will guarantee at least 1 more kill.

You are correct. I said the wrong number. I meant a 2k. A effecient team will let him get no more than a 2k. He is playing in a manor that if countered properly will only allow him to tie. Not even win. Why should the devs take the time and resources to change a playstyle that doesn't even let a killer win when there are so many actual problems with the game? Let's let them focus on real balancing issues instead of one thing that annoys a few people.

How many non-swf teams are “efficient”? By the time people realize what’s happening, someone has probably wasted time going to the hook, opened a chest, done a totem etc.
2 -
How many actual basement Bubbas do you go against? I hardly see them and when I do they're pretty wholesome. No basement Bubba is doing it to be vindictive or even win for that matter. This argument is and always will be a silly one. I know it isn't always fun to be on the receiving end but it isn't very fun to be on the end of a syringe or a BNP team. Point is, we all deal with some BS, its basically a requirement in this game.
Go next.

Basement Bubba isn’t a guaranteed 3-4k even with Corrupt, Deadlock, NWO because it is dependent on one survivor exiting the game before all the gens are powered. If Bubba gets the first down after 2 gens have popped, the remaining 3 survivors can finish the remaining gens and get out.
A team is as strong as the weakest link, if the Bubba downed the weak looper at the start of the game and tunneled them out with 2-3 gens left, then the game will get harder for the remaining 3 survivors. However that means there should be more unused resources on the map for the 3 survivors to use. A 2 man win is still possible.

This sounds more like a "My teammates are stupid" problem than a "The other side is too op" problem.

Like ######### is this thread? You ppl really think that having 1 good chase is enough to guarantee anything between 2-4k? Meaning I win or at least I don't loose because I had 1 chase? That thing is really Ok in your eyes?
Like what would you say if survivors had a perk that for each whiff gave them sprint burst? No exhaustion or anything. Just win because I 360d you once....

A Myers Infinite Tier 3, Iri Head Huntress or Trapper with traps set up at the basement stairs could also achieve similar results, should they also lose their power at the basement too?
1 -
True. But if they balance the game around people who are doing totems and chests than this game is doomed.

Infinite T3 was ok when DH was unlimited. Iri huntress you can dodge (IK, good luck doing it, but still possible). Trapper is super strong, but still - with good coordination, you can do it. The only 2 killers that are really unfair (disregarding DH nerf) in this regards are Bubba and Trickster

same can be said about other side. If we balance the game around speed limiter bubba, the game is doomed.
The thing is, that the game should be balanced around fun interactions. Winning single chase and getting 2-4K just because of 1 chase... Does not sound fun or healthy (same as having win by old keys when hatch could spawn for all 4 survivors didn't feel fair to killers)

If we're talking fun then why should we nerf him? He's having fun from his side. Should we nerf every playstyle that killers or survivors don't enjoy? From the killer side then we should nerf head on and flashlights. It's not even slightly fun for most killers to go against a squad like that. I personally don't want that style nerfed even though I hate it with a passion. We can't nerf a playstyle just because either side doesn't enjoy it. We start doing that and we're gonna have very few styles left.

You know what's the difference? Survivors don't ask for perks that will give them 100s sprint burst with 5s cooldown in order to have fun. What you mentioned is annoying on killer's side (and I could add one additional example - blast mine. As a killer, this one is absolutely annoying as hell - yet it makes very little difference in actual match). But the end result of that match is usually (sure, not always - some killers are not experienced) 4K. On the other hand for Bubba to have "fun" and get 2-4K, he just needs 1 good chase at the beginning. Multiple kills for 1 chase. See the difference?
Anyway - talk for yourself. I like it when I am in a lobby with 4 flashlights. That is if they don't give up too early as a lot of them do once they realize they will have hard time getting their flash saves (and no, I don't use franklin's or lightborn)
