Cheaters are still a thing!
Hatch closed and I could see both gates but decided to puke on switch for the hell of it. I walked back to other one not that far away.
I thought I didn't see a red light but nevermind they did that fast.
Only after I realised I had 4 stacks of NWO.
I could have reported but might not have anyway as it's such a hassle.
Be on the look out.
Sad people get a kick out of escaping by pressing one button.

unfortunately there are a lot of cheaters on both sides. just got out of a game where a killer used super speed if nobody was close. he obviously doesn't know that kindred also shows his aura across the map.

Yeah I had a pinhead going straight to the box everytime in one game. Not using the box aura add on as it activated chain hunt.
Had another game with a Trapper moving a bit sharpish.
Not as bad as it used to be yet. I once had someone jumping in the sky like a flea everytime I went to hit them.
Somehow I got them on the hook as the other survivor stood and watched. They instant escaped but still.
Subtle cheaters are worst IMO though.

Yes, unfortunately that's the case. Since the game's release in 2016, more than 200,000 cheaters/hackers have been banned (64,000 in 2022 alone), props to BHVR here.
Unfortunately, since there is no usable automated ban system as cheat protection like ricochet or vangard, nothing will change in the near future.
The game is good, that's why we all play it, but it could be very good. If the hacker numbers keep going like this (like 2022) BHVR will have to prioritize it at some point. As mentioned before, the subtle cheaters are becoming more and more common.

It is indeed a possible scenario I forgot about. It seems a tad weird to me they didn't even touch the gate.
Key may have been the reason in this case though.
For the record I have seen a person bleeding out only to instant escape before my eyes. I must have slugged them for a reason too. I can't remember.
So it could have been either.
Seen a video of aura hacking killers recently by Hens. I hope it doesn't get bad again.
