Now that there’s a visual lullaby radius, Sadako’s lullaby needs to go.
You could make an argument for Trickster keeping his lullaby (not that I’d agree with that argument). But Sadako is, at her core, a stealth killer. The whole point is that you don’t hear her coming. Her having a visual lullaby gives every survivor a free spine chill at all times.
Devs, please consider removing Sadako’s lullaby. I really think this is a massive oversight.

Sadako's lullaby isnt as quiet as people claim it is. It still stands out even while working on generators.
However, I would not be opposed to it being removed.

Agreed. This has to be unintended for a stealth killer. Survivors just run away the moment the little heart appears while working on gens. Why does the heart also indicate distance?

Yeah she's like a stealth killer that isn't actually stealthed.

Forgot now the argument of "the lullaby is barely hearable" which wasnt true in my experience is absuletely destroyed because you can use that feature to just get an accurate information of the lullaby, lmao common sadako L.

Yeah, this just completely destroys whatever semblance of stealth she has. If the point of her lullaby was to be subtle, it sure isn't that anymore.

Probably the best point I've seen thus far

even the slight sound the lullaby makes is still heard, hard of hearing people deserve to slightly hear/see the same thing.

Personally i wouldn't remove her lullaby, instead i'd make it map-wide so nobody can tell how close she is, as well as not let it be detectable by the visual heartbeat.

100% agree! I've been saying it for as long as she's been a character in DbD:
A Lullaby radius on an M1 STEALTH KILLER is just plain stupid! Stealth killers rely on their ability to get the jump on survivors, and if Sadako could strike survivors while in Stealth mode, that would warrant her getting a Lullaby Radius, but since she has to, VERY LOUDLY, announce her presences as she comes out of her stealth mode before she can strike... the lullaby radius (early warning system) completely negates the stealth part of her kit, making it pointless to even have.
I remember when they made the PTB for Ghost Face, and Similarly gave him a 20 meter Lullaby noise when he was in stealth mode. It was unanimously LABMASTED by the community as a very poor design choice to have a stealth killer basically shouting out to the survivors "I'M IN STEALTH OVER HERE, DON'T LOOK AT ME!" and the devs removed it because they acknowledged how stupid it was. Looking at Sadako now though... It's like the devs purposely ignored what they learned from the Ghostface PTB debacle, and decided to "try again" with this asinine concept.
Now that we have Visual TR and Visual Lullaby Radius, Sadako's Lullaby radius now doubly makes her stealth pointless (oh, and the Visual LR is actually gonna get worse btw, since the current version is bugged and "doesn't show its intensity", meaning it's currently not showing how close the killer is to you, which IMO it absolutely shouldn't anyway). I'm all for removing that stupid LR from sadako, and always have been against it, I'm just shocked no one else was until now due to the visual TR/LR thing.
While they're at it, It would Also be really nice if they made Dredge's LR during nightfall Omni-directional like Huntresses or Freddy's.

I would rather they just disable the visual heart for lullabies since Trickster is also problematic.
1 -
Eh, they can't really do that since Huntress and Freddy do what they do.
Really neither Trickster nor Sadako should even have a lullaby.

I never noticed she had a lullaby.

Is the visual terror radius triggered by Wraiths breath too?

I played against her twice so I never know she has one.

After playing trickster for a little bit and getting a good understanding of him, the lullaby honestly doesn't fit him in the slightest. Hitting long range shots with him just isn't realistic at all, it should at the very least be the same size as his TR

I don't understand this thread. sadako has always had directional lullaby. Are people that bad or something? Day 1 from PTB, she was never able to stealth good players....
Ghostface lullaby 20 meter lullaby PTB was the best meme ever. that ptb was biggest laugh I ever had in a ptb. GF only needed to experience it for PTB. Dredge and Sadako had to experience for 1+ year on live servers. will they remove it? they probably should but they likely won't because the stats say dredge and sadako are top 5 deadliest killer with among highest kill-rate......

I don't mind the visual heartbeat with trickster too much, but the real reason it exists is because Huntress has a 40 meter lullaby radius, but only a 20 meter terror radius. Not being able to hear the huntress' lullaby radius would make her way too powerful

Dredge... doesn't have a lullaby? He's loud af, but it's not a lullaby.

his nightfall ambient sounds might as well be lullaby. The guy looks like a white Christmas tree in the dark which is funny. every time I leave a match as survivor after escaping dredge or sadako, there is that feeling of unearned escape. Its been like that for a year. unlikely for them to change anything.

While in nightfall, Dredge does have a lullaby, but not in the traditional sense. There are always ambient horror sounds during nightfall, but those same sounds are twice as loud when Dredge is within 32 meters of you. I'm not sure if this was intended or not
