It's time to address this

I'm only going to say this 1 statement cause anymore words and I'm going to be extra about this topic. DBD has a bit of a stalemate when regarding the topic of fun, so this video should help to redirect certain thinking patterns that are a bit much when arguing

I liked the video

This man gives the most intelligent breakdown of Dead By Daylight I have ever come across in my 7 years playing this game.

oh, that video. honestly i didn't watch it because the thumbnail made me think it was just some random guy nagging at bhvr, is it really that good of a video? if it is, someone needs to tell them to make better, more appealing thumbnails lmao

It is a well explained video that doesn't target one side or the devs. I think the thumbnail is for clicks cause South Park. Lol

Is it the Das Food video?

I didn't quite like how he started the video because the way he worded it ringed to me like he was saying "Why would you want to live your life seeking the happiness of the many if you know regardless of what you do at least one person is going to be unhappy with it?" which is the most stupid thing I've heard in my life, but it got better as the video progressed and he explained himself, and I kinda agree with him.
I guess I'll save the video for all those people with the Clown and Bubba profile pictures happily ending conversations with "your fun is not my responsability".

I was skeptical at first because clown meme but I mellowed out and at least wanted to hear him out. I agree with quite a bit of the takes

He contradicts himself a lot in his video. I will just give one exemple : at the end he says you should care about the other side, don’t be too harsh if a killer is a baby and struggling to get a kill, because let’s say he is splitting hooks on every survivor.
Now let’s say this killer is in fact a dredge playing with noed and NWO building tokens, you thought he was bad and he wasn’t really, you played nice when you should not have to.
Same thing with killer, a lot of times I started playing "nice" with my nurse when I realized gens were not popping, only to be flamed in the end game chat for "toying with them" and making my pleasure last longer, or accused to lower my MMR when I clearly won but decided to let them go. I remember a streamer very angry insisting to not escape / opening the door because I dared to tp grab someone out of an unhook, he waited the whole end game timer instead of leaving, because offering him a pity escape was somehow toxic.
And that’s what I believe most killers are experiencing when they try to care about the other side, survivors are never happy. So you might as well not care about the other side fun and play how the game allows you to play as long as you respect the rules and don’t cheat / use exploits. It’s the dev responsibility to make balance, not the survivors / killers to suffer the mental burden and asking ourselves every 5 min "is the other side doing OK and having fun ?", the game should be fun for everyone regardless of how you play as long as you are trying to win.
