The Carnifex does the job of the other two guards but better

Assassin is meant to be good in chase, but will often not land hits on their own. Chases for the same duration as Jailer, and therefore serves the same function effectively.

The Jailer's main strength of being easy to hit is less useful the more experienced you are (and also map of the realm makes the other two's radius more than large enough). The jailer isn't threatening as they can be disabled within seconds and will nearly never land a hit on their own so can be safely aggroed to disable the knight's ability to use their power for a longer duration. The long patrol time is often a hindrance as you will be unable to use the other two guards for the full duration.

Carnifex is the best at keeping survivors off of generators as it has the longest guaranteed hunt time, the best in chase for that same reason as well breaking pallets so fast you can walk through them as the action is completed. Also the best at keeping another survivor occupied if you choose to split pressure.

It would be nice if the other two were more effective in their niches.
