The Pig is in utter need of a rework.

Before i start, this is my opinion, so if you dis/agree with some of my points, obviously feel free to share.

I, myself, Main The Pig.

I really enjoy the Saw movies and love the entire logic behind it. People aren't just killed for someones sick fun. They are being tested and punished for their misdeeds since most of the time, the Police nor the governemnt won't do anything about them.

So, when i started playing DBD in 2020, i went with Amanda Young, aka, The Pig. I have prestiged her up, have played through the entire Tome and her story and played through countless of matches.

And after all this, i must say that she has become the most frustrating Killer to play as for me and it just absoloutely breaks my heart.

Her power is basically asking you to camp the Jigsaw boxes and to tunnel and chase survivors, whetever they have an active bear trap or not. If you don't follow these standards, the survivors will have a easy win, since who pressures them and stops them from just healing or disabling their traps? That's right, no one.

I played through so many matches without following this ideology and even in most of my matches, i was left with No Kills and Less Points than i could have had imagined.

Once however you start to follow this path, a toxic kill or even 3 are basically already given to you, but as said, on the behalf of the survivors enjoyment.

To her crouching and Stealth, it seems to be absoloutely busted. Most people will see you immeadetly and the roar starting with your ambush attack isn't really helping to cover you up one bit. I tried doing the Fake-Direction Ambush, but once the survivors stands in the middle of the pallet, it's basically over.

And to her chase power, one pallet or window vault, basically sets you back so much that the survivor can build up a extreme distance between you and them. Which is obviously frustrating to experience and is usually followed by the next generator popping up.

Her power feels outdated. What once was Gold, has become Silver and is now Bronze.

To Fix her issues, i would start to decrease her awfully big Terror radius currently. (32 Meters, Stealth killers usually have around 24 Meters.)

Second, i would buff her crouching speed. She should be able to stand up and crouch down way faster than she currently does it, since it just eats time. I would also make her faster during her crouching, since if we look at Ghostface, he's basically faster than her in any way.

To The Ambush Attack, i would leave it as it is, with the tiny exception that the roar starts halfway of the Attack and not the start.

And to her main power: The Traps. I cannot think of anything currently. If any of you have any ideas, feel free to share.

    Leave traps as it is,

just make crouch faster and increase movement speed. Then I don't care about TR.

Don't you dare to touch my roar. That's what I enjoy most on Piggy. This would be like Wraith without bell.

Recent perks like Face the Darkness can make playing against pig a real problem, given ofc rn she isn't working due to bugs but yeah.

Trying to finish a jigsaw box and screaming then being forced to reposition as your hat is timing down is so hillariously unfair with the slower box solving. You scream, reset have to hope someone gets the totem, or commit and hope she doesn't come to box with your aura revealed LOL.

She is always one of two ways, synergises with nothing, or something comes out and she is utterly busted with it in a kick you when your down sort of way.

I wouldn't remove the roar since i like it too. I was talking about regressing it for more of a "Jumpscare Moment" since if Ghostface is in the stealth mode and prepares his attack, you usally only hear his clothing rattle around like when he is super close to you and vice verza for the pig, this would mean that once you reached halfway of the ambush attack, she would begin to roar and perfectly start her attack. Sounds more realistic in that manner too, tbh.

As you already said, if they just made her faster in what she does and tweaked some stuff there, then Pig should become a decently playable killer, definetly agree.

To the Traps, i would definetly go over a rework. Sorry to say this, but the traps are most commonly the most underdated and useless Thing about Pig, the Iridescent Add-on where the traps are already on Survivors is a life saver, but other than that, a perfectly normal Pig match.

They are easy to get off and basically when do you ever encounter a kill with the Reverse Bear Traps or pressuring? In my opinion, almost never and even with Add-ons making the search box timer longer or the Timer shorter survivors can easily just get them off and if the End-game hits, then voila. The Beartraps have officially become useless.

Also in the regard of the Saw Franchise, it's all about putting someone on trial and testing how they react. Pig's ability is basically just: Put Modified Bear Traps on Persons head and if they don't skidaddle around a Box in the right time, then they can say Bye-Bye.

I did hear of an interesting concept once which you could "recollect" your bear traps like Huntress with her hatches for one more time and during the endgame, the beartrap on that persons head would activate once they're off the hook. There they need to "Make Their Choice", do they search for the Key or do they A: Unhook a Survivor and gain 1000 Extra Bloodpoints in the "Altruism Category" or B: Heal another Survivor and gain 500 Extra Bloodpoints in the "Altruism" Category. For the Unhooking part they would have also been blessed with the "Endurance" Status effect for 7 Seconds. So Good deeds, don't go unpunished and once this kind of event starts, The Pig also recieves 1000 Bloodpoints in the "Devousiness" Category, with the title "Let's play a Game."

Another idea was to buff her Perks and tweak her ability just a little, since the same worked well for Hag and any other killer. Problably the best solution.

That's what i was kinda talking about.

Once you don't use your Boxes for Toxic camping stuff, the Survivors basically have a fair but also easy game, but once she does so and uses Perks that are A-S Tier for her advantage, it's basically over for you.

That's why i think she needs a rework, the power is really outdated and it shows.

So, you’re saying that you can win if you tunnel survivors and camp the jigsaw boxes, but you want the Pig to be buffed even further just so you don’t have to use that strategy to get a guaranteed win? That doesn’t make any sense.

If you only care about winning, then tunneling and camping is the best strategy to use. If you care more about all players having a fun/fair experience, then play for jump scares and hooks. I personally always have fun playing against the Pig whether they tunnel or not.

That's not what i said. I don't care about a full 4K winning streak, but at least a decent one which consists of 1-2K's to keep you above ranks and being able to level yourself up + To give your counter players a fair gameplay experience.

Whilst going against the Pig is a fun experience, it's mostly due to the fact that she's easily outrunable and doesn't usually get your entire team in my point of view. She does get some hooks if advanced, but other than that she's laughably slow.

And what i meant about the whole "Buff" thing. I meant that the Pig's power should be reworked instead of "Buffed" which yes, maybe the rework does buff her in some ways, but the current power she's using is outdated which just weighs her down and makes her frustrating to play.

In the current meta, "camping" is considered something that should be counterable and needs to be balanced. Back then during Pig's release, that was a whole another world where Camping WAS a balanced Strategy since Survivors usually obtained the upper hand. But today that's diffrent and when the people said that Pinhead camping the Box was unfair, what did Behaviour do? They removed it.

Meaning that they view "Camping" as a problem and not a valid strategy. Imagine you're facing a pig player get freshly off the hook to remove your trap and she just comes out of nowhere to tunnel and hook you once again. Doesn't that sound unfair? Isn't that frustrating to play against?

That's what i meant, i want her to change in a way where she becomes fair like other killers and doesn't have to rely on the absurd strategy of basically tunneling injured survivors off the hook to chase them at boxes, because why should this be considered a legit strategy?

Times have changed and in my opinion, so should the Pig.

Yeah I think she deserves a rework and give her Hello Zepp as her theme, I may have ruined the spelling for the song but its off the top of my head.
