Myers is busted
Hey,
Just wondering if anyone else thinks that Myer's is a little overpowered in the game. I don't know of any other killer that makes no noise and is able to stealth their way across the map with no TR, stain, nothing. Isn't that a little busted? I think it is and I think he should be nerfed. This is coming from someone who plays mainly killer.

He can only do that in Tier 1 when he's at his weakest. He can't lunge worth crap, his movement speed is lower than normal, and generally isn't doing much other than trying to stalk up to level two where he becomes average.
8 -
Go play him long enough to get out of low MMR and get back to us and tell us how you did against survivors who know how to loop.
18 -
I mean against newbies myers definitely looks busted where you get free grabs and hits in t1.
11 -
You’re right. There’s no other killer like that in this game. Just Myers, he’s OP.
5 -
Underpowered*
6 -
In what realm of the multiverse is Myers considered strong in DBD? Because that's the world I want to live in
8 -
Using his tombstone makes him strong. Having to ability to instantly kill anyone without having to hook them once.
3 -
Don't know why people are acting very dismissive of this claim.
Basekit Myers is very weak, but much like Blight, he has add-ons that make him ridiculously strong. The obvious ones being mori add-ons that have the potential to completely delete a survivor a few minutes into a match.
In general, everything about him is outdated, his power is poorly designed, and his add-ons are poorly designed. Ideally, he gets a rework soon, hopefully sooner than later.
5 -
Two add ons make him overpowered, I agree. They're A 10 out of 10. But take those out of the equation (which will likely happen eventually) and he's quite garbage. Even if all his other add ons were buffed to be twice as powerful as they currently are, he's still be garbage
1 -
People are dismissive because the OP's statement is pretty far removed from reality.
Myers' power itself is fine and just needs some tiny QoL adjustments, don't know how this narrative got started that his power is somehow horrible considering they gave Ghostface a slightly modified version of the same freaking power and people think it is great on him. His addons are also fine as they mesh well with his kit and do have place an appropriate amount of hindrance to counter balance the effect. He's one of the few killers who has Iri and purple addons that make sense for him and are actually worth being Iri and purple. Your problem isn't with Myers, but your teammates in 99% of the situations where you.
He's not remotely in the same situation as Blight.
3 -
Myers is almost universally viewed as a bottom-tier killer. He only stomps survivors who don’t know how to counter him and avoid feeding him stalk points. However, he does have by far the most busted add-ons in the game and those need to be launched into outer space
4 -
He's also considered by many the worst killer in the game... I think trapped is worse overall but I get why people say myers. He needs significant buffs honestly (and sure take away tombstones if ya want)
3 -
The thing about myers and ALOT of other killers in this game is his power is just pretty much auto pilot, you hold down a button to get your power to 99 and try not to forget to tap the button when you’re close to a survivor to instadown them in tier 3 …. ta da 🪄. It’s impossible to mechanically mess up playing that killer especially compared to playing Blight for example. So you’re just capitalizing on survivor mistakes over and over and over and over again without any presisional skill..

People don't view Ghostface in the same light because his power works off of a completely different principle. You are exposed when YOU are stalked.
The source of most of the complaints surrounding Myers stem from the fact that your teammates can feed him stalk but YOU are the one who gets punished for it. That isn't the always the fault of your teammates though. With the exception of some maps, there really isn't much you can do to stop being in the killer's FOV.
His add-ons however are not fine, his mori add-ons shouldnt even exist IMO. Tombstone Piece hardly has a hindrance, which is why it's so common to see in matches against Myers, because it almost acts as an easy kill early-mid game. His add-ons even give him the potential to get tier 3 <10 seconds after running out of it off of one survivor alone, I have video proof of this happening however I am unable to upload mp4 files.
I honestly do not understand how anyone could even fathom arguing that his design isn't outdated.

He's busted alright

Myers basekit is in no way OP. Myers with add ons though is a totally different story.

"I don't know of any other killer that makes no noise and is able to stealth their way across the map."
He breathes so loud you could shoot him in the dark.
2 -
Meyers is weak af. He's the literal definition of an m1 killer. And there's other killers that can stealth, namely ghostface.
He's kinda all or nothing tho for every easy meyers escape I get there's anotherbgame where I get instamorid 4 minutes in. Not a fun killer in general

When starting out and encountering him for the first few times on indoor maps he absolutely can feel like an overwhelming killer. As you become more used to him, he does show many weaknesses such as the slowness of his power or outdoor maps.
His scary parts are the Tombstone Myers, where he breaks the rules and can just rip a survivor out of the trial instantly. The counter (if you cannot evade) is to find a locker and leap in. Sure, it's a hook state, but it's preferable to an instant death.
Basically, he's not as strong as a lot of other killers, but it does not mean he is not a threat - just that he has more weaknesses to exploit. However, despite this, Myers sits alongside Bubba, Oni and Pyramid Head as one of few killers whose presence still unnerves me.

Besides tombstone piece Myers sucks
4 -
Or even see them for more than half a second. I've had more than a few occasions where the first time he sees me, he one-taps his stalk to T3 and insta-kills for the first time. It's probably the more frustrating thing in the entire game.

The entire forum is flooded with blight related topics and someone actually typed out this title.
I have never used tombstone so I don't really know the power level in relation to blight equip with his top add-ons but other than that he is beyond terrible. New players on both sides just think consistent availability of insta-downs is op.
2 -
He is overpowered when used with insta-kill addons. I can't belive it is still in the game. However, his base kit is weak.
2 -
Don't know why people are acting very dismissive of this claim.
They do it because the "claim is
I don't know of any other killer that makes no noise and is able to stealth their way across the map with no TR, stain, nothing. Isn't that a little busted?
This, nothing about tombstone or instant Mori or even the active power anywhere in the post. Just basic ass Tier 1 Myers being a stealth killer, is the problem op has.
2 -
He's literally one of the weakest Killers in the game.
3 -
Myers should get a chainsaw after losing his tier 3.
2 -
Against newbies, every killer is considered OP.
5 -
Myers is hot garbage without addons.
2 -
ghostfaces power is leagues better.
myers is very addon reliant while gf isnt, not as much as myers at least.
myers loses his stealth in t2/3, and cant get it back. he cant crouch or lean around corners like gf, and he only has limited stalk unlike gf. gf has none of the issues and all of the benefits
0 -
He and stealth killer killed by HUD. All killers move are seen by survivers.
0 -
Meanwhile, some people can appreciate a good Scratch Mirror on Lery <3
4 -
I'd love myers to be designed around scratched mirror rather than his instant down
6 -
Being addon-reliant in a game where you can choose two addons of your choice whenever you want wherever you want is irrelevant + I'll take Exposed status on everyone, longer lunge distance and faster vault speed over stealth any day.
3 -
its not really irrelevant. at base, ghostface is simply better than myers, and without tombstone/infT3, ghostface wins in the add on department too. Hell, infT3 and tombstone arent even that good if the survivors arent braindead
1 -
Yes, they are that good. PWYF and LP single-handedly give infT3/Tombstone a considerable edge over anything GF can do.
2 -
Me too! I tried his double iridescent add-ons for the first time the other day and it was rather boring and anticlimactic. I’d rather his base-kit be Scratched Mirror and his Iridescents get changed to make him faster with a greater lunge and/or more silent.
0 -
Yeah its not that exciting. Maybe the could keep tombstone for final Survivor in the trial.
I'd say they could remove tier 3 altogether (although tier 2 is same pose as tier 3). Myers can go back into tier 1. Mirrors are basekit. Increase movement speed and lunge of both at base. Maybe one iri gives tier 3 as an option. Last iri you lose aura reading of mirrors but greater speed of movement, Vaulting, etc
1 -
Myers by base is not an issue. Myers that can mori a healthy and standing survivor is a bit much

Tombstone is actually pretty bad TBH. Generally, when you see that myers is taking a strangely large amount of time to get to tier 3, you should assume he has tombstone. Then slam gens, when he hits tier 3, jump into a locker if he starts chasing you instead of letting tombstone happen. By the time he gets to tier 3, he probably lost 3 gens, then he'll lose the other 2 in a couple of hooks, and then let him camp someone out of the game while 3 of you escape. Super "fun" and "engaging" game, but its really easy to counter.

95% of the killers in the game are add on reliant. What's funny is with some of them their best add ons are the brown ones like Demo and Twins.
Ghostface needs unlimited stalk because you can rob him of his power simply by looking at him (when his very buggy reveal mechanic actually works). If you play Myers correctly everyone or most of the team should be dead by the time you've used most of your tier 3's. I main Myers and the common mistake I see Myers players do is waste tier 3 by popping it when they are not remotely close enough to a survivor. You don't pop it unless you're sure you can get the down.
Myers can absolutely be stealthy in tier 2 with a simple dead rabbit add on or monitor and abuse. I've lost count of the number of survivors I've gotten the drop on with just the rabbit add on. 25% smaller terror radius in tier 2 is wonderful. If you combo it with Monitor its practically tier 1 stealth. I know you're talking at base kit he can't do that, but nobody plays killers at base kit with no add ons or perks, except maybe insanely experienced Nurse players. Its silly not to use perks or add ons that enhance your killer's ability.
Don't get me wrong Michael needs some buffs, but people really exaggerate how weak his power is.

Myers is generally regarded as one of the worst killers in the game, usually only above Trapper.
The only time you -could- argue he's unfair is if he brings tombstone piece, otherwise no, he's weak.

The (second?) weakest killer in the game is busted ... rrrrright.

Difference between Myers and Ghostface is Ghostface makes some noise, Myers makes no noise.
1 -
Myers is about to bust..and he brought Tombstone 😳.

It does not take a large amount time to get tier 3 with tombstone piece. played over 40 matches using TS peice just to see how people deal with it and 8 out 10 times someone was dead at 4 gens. Going against as a survivor it feel roughly the same. TS peice has counter play but still it very broken. Myers get free locker grabs all the time even when he not running TS peice. Much like old dead hard u just gotta assume he running it which is terrible.

Actually his power is one of the best designs in the game. It requires careful play and planning and has some hard counters by survivors.
His addons also do exactly what addons should, they can completely modify his power changing how he’s played making him a varied and interesting killer. While his strongest addons are very strong but again come with drawbacks that can be countered by the survivors.
It’s not hard to counter Myers with a bit of game sense. It’s also not hard to leverage some of his more powerful addons to great advantage. He’s actually pretty well balanced in the grand scheme of things.
