Replace the globe icon with a platform name icon
Most players, when they see the cross-play globe icon next to a character name, assume that that person is playing on console and therefore don't even try to initiate chat with them. It would be great if instead of the globe icon we could have an icon for each platform (Steam, Epic etc). Many games that have cross-play feature already have this feature. Why can't dbd have one?

Too many people associate playing on console with being bad at the game, so you'd run into a lot of issue with...
- People dodging lobbies with too many PC players
- Survivors dodging other survivors
- Cross platform toxicity (like a playstation player bleeding survivors out for 4 minutes because they play on xbox).
- PC players abusing the fact that console players play at a lower frame rate/worse graphics

Ive played games with PvP Cross-play and literally never had any of these issues relating to certain platforms.
I guess you could say "some people will do that", but it's just that, "some people", not everyone, not even a majority, a small portion of the community. Realistically it has no effect upon most players.

So have I, and I have had these issues.
Some people will do that, and in my opinion, even if it happens once, that's one too many times.

Those games weren't dbd and didn't have dbd's approach and dedication to being toxic.

I am one of those people.
NGL, I am still waiting to be proven wrong... I just play those games anyways to be fair.

How can you assume a platform basing on a player name?
