The true issue with Dead By Daylights balance.
Maps.
Everyone knows that maps are the most unbalanced thing in the game, and if they were just reworked....
Map offerings wouldn't make the killer enraged, in turn reducing tunneling and camping. Maps with 8 or 30 pallets wouldn't occur, making absurdly one sided games very rare. Instead of nerfing individual survivor and killer perks, which causes backlash, maps, which no one will get mad about if you do, should be changed.
The main maps that should be reworked are:
Garden of Joy, Mothers Dwelling, Fractured Cowshed, and Badham(Reduce loop quality and reduce pallet count.)
Midwich, Dead Dawg Saloon, and East RPD.(Increase safe pallet count and increase loop quality)
Groaning Storehouse and Haddonfield (Remove infinites).
BHVR, fixing maps seems like a no-brainer. There will be no resentment from the community, the game will be more balanced, and people will be happy!
Any maps that I'm missing or any issues with this?
Edit: I was in the middle of a 35 minute Dull Merchant game, so I forgot one of the most obvious things about maps! Gen location, maps like haddonfield need to have their gens moved as well!

Always has been to be honest
You can make the most balanced powers/perks/items but it doesn’t matter if the maps aren’t well designed
Cowshed is the most glaring example. Loops that all connect, strong tiles, decent main building and corn in the middle. Yet has not been majorly changed since launch

Taking on map balance would be a huge undertaking for them. They'd have to address RNG, tile orientation, map size, and other things. Size is tough in and of itself. Nobody like 3 gen gameplay, but big maps are also a problem. Players think an easier solution is less safe tiles, but a tile is safe until it's a guaranteed hit against a high level killer player. There's rarely much wiggle room on tile safety.
I agree that maps are absolutely the biggest issue, but I don't know how realistic it is to balance them for all levels of play and all killers. A jungle gym isn't safe for the average survivor that doesn't look behind them. An L/T next to a rock filler tile is a broken setup for a soft cap survivor.

Tbh, I feel like the maps are pretty okay nowadays for either side. I remember back when the game had like 50+ pallets and old haddonfield... I don't really get bothered by playing any map playing either side tbh

Lack of maps also. Current ones are very repetitive.

They’ve just changed gen spawns on Haddonfeild and added meh-pallets to some edge maps to address deadzones so there is hope. I just hope not every map reworks turns the map into a square, it kinda kills that character of the map a little, but that’s just me.

Map offerings should go. Get tired of seeing dcs because there’s a map offering

Killers who tunnel are not going to stop tunneling because they made maps stronger for killer. It'll just make tunneling even easier. People also said they wouldn't tunnel if regression was stronger and people tunneled harder than ever during the gen kick meta. People will always play in the way that gives them the easiest win regardless of what you change.

The only map i am starting to get bored on is Ormond when i que as killer it seems thats the only map that survivors want to play on. While i still enjoy dead by daylight the only thing that should go is MMR... The reason why everyone camps and tunnels is because they want to win because behaviour says Kill = skill no mather how you kill its skill.
I think when they do a big update like this where allot gets changed they should also reset MMR so players can slowly build up again where they belong. Lately im getting in games that are way out of my league and are just boring to play as killer as they finish within 5 minutes and i only have like 3-4 hooks. Maybe i just play to nice as killer but i like to hook everyone 2 times before i kill people.

I heard that RNG will throw you to harder map if you're keep winning. Is it the same to number of pallets?

I think Borgo is bigger issue then Cowshed or Badham. Gideon should loose some pallets for slightly increased size and a few windows. And both wretched shop and wrecker's yard could favor killer a bit less.
But I generally agree - make extremes less of an issue - nerf most favoring map to both sides more balanced (but don't swing it on the other side).
Anyway - I don't believe there is single infinite in the game. There are god loops, but 0 infinites. Last infinite went away with old headonfield.

All it would require from bHVR is go look at the win rates on the maps and see if anyone of them is an outlier.
I doubt any map is above 65% winrate for a side, which is the winrate for the best killrate. If it is its probably ALREADY on the list for getting changed, And bHVR's map team is 100% already working on that.

Telling them to fix maps is nice and all, but that’s too complicated for them to actually do well. I‘d rather have a look at the loadout system (including map offerings) first.

I just think there should be more Killer perks for controlling chases, like something to block Windows/Pallets in a chase without having to suddenly go faster than blight and tier 3 Myers to vault a window, doing it again to go back behind the survivor and resume the chase after bambozling the window.

Dead Dawg is fine.
Haddonfield needs... a lot of work. It has about 6 unsafe pallets, 2-3 safe-ish pallets, a middle of the map that becomes a dead zone very quickly, and then the ridiculously strong building with 2 windows on the same wall of the house. It needs more pallet safety in exchange for making sure one of those two windows are always blocked. It also needs its gens separated more, though they said something about this in the recent patch and I haven't had a match on it yet.
Mother's Dwelling needs to be made smaller.
Garden of Joy needs fewer filler pallets.
Cowshed needs either fewer jungle gym tile locations or a lock on the tiles that can spawn in the jungle gym tiles so that only 1 of each type can spawn (a system that already exists for other maps), in addition to fewer filler pallets.
