Why do good survivors only play late at night?
Almost all of my games throughout the day are baby survivors with easy 3-4k. After 1 am, there's mostly only good survivors, the games are x5 harder and it's a struggle to get even a 2k. I've only tested this on weekends not sure about weekdays.
They also love playing on MacMillan for some reason. If it's late night and you see a MacMillan offerring, it's probably going to be a hard game.

You need to think about, what kind of player will keep playing after 1 am.

I'm bad all day long

I always assumed it was younger school kids who are casual players play during the day time, while the sweatier players are young(or older) adults who work in the day and only have time to play at night.

Do you know why? Because most of the "good survivors" have already stopped playing this broken game. So there are only nubs left who just bought this game and don't even know what to do there. ;) So enjoy until you can, because DBD currently has the LOWEST player average ever. This game is dying and BHVR doesn't even care.

Because a lot of people have things to do during the day and can only make time to play around nighttime.

You don't team up with your friends in the morning.
SWF groups are typical on Friday nights or on the weekend.
I agree during the day and sometimes in the morning some matches are really chill.

I find a mix of people at all hours, but my theory has always been that SWF are more likely to play evenings/nights/weekends. For people with other responsibilities (jobs, kids, etc), their schedules might not line up until late at night.

I also feel that around 7pm until 12am or so is when you have the most sweaty/tunneling/face camping killers, one who had a bad day at school or work and comes on the game to take it out on people.

Opposite for me in the midwest. The sweatiest players are on during the day and it's a little bit softer at night unless you run into the 4 man resilience/adrenaline gen rush squads.

The true "try hard sweats" always get on after they come home from work/school. You can immediately sense when the energy of the teams changes. Just stop playing when you run into one and stick with an earlier time of day to play. (minus weekends due to most of those "try hard sweats" being off)

in my experience good survivors are better found during noon or afternoon, hence i only play killer at night

Late at night it can get so bad that I even leave lobbies in SoloQ where there are 3 Fengs wearing identical shirts. Durings one such match they didn't even save me but applied Reassurance twice to extend my time on the hook. They casually finished the gens and left. Let's not even talk about the endgame chat content after. I consider that a successful report on my part.

during the day we're spending time with our girlfriends

I get baby survivors every day throughout most of the day. I haven't played late night much during the weekday but on the weekends, they are definitely there.

It's the same thing for me (EU server), I assume it's because people work during the day so sweaty swf can only play together at night. Also I can't imagine a very casual player, solo or not, playing past 1 am.

Typical Feng players.

Define casual? I have around 1.5K hours and I consider myself casual and play around 1 AM. I tend to have my last cup of coffee around midnight. 😛

Haha, I also consider myself casual and have around the same amount of hours, but I've very rarely played past midnight, let alone 1am. By very casual I meant more casual than me (which I'm aware is not a universal point of reference lmao). I probably can't imagine anyone who isn't a hardcore player doing it bc i'd never do it myself haha, but I mean it's probably just a question of habits, and there's surely newbies who only play at night.

USWest - I tend to encounter strong players during the day and evening. After 1 AM I tend to see a huge drop in play quality/intensity.

That's the only time I play Killer basically lol
