Does anyone feel like Freddy is the most in need of a rework?
This killer just seems so bad and almost entirely outclassed by Clown. Most of the time I see people play this killer, they barely use his Dream Snares. It's mostly tp and play as m1 killer. The requirement to have to hit a survivor as a m1 killer before he can use his power is just absurd and survivors can too easily wake up. He's a m1 killer for most of the match due to this.

Freddy has never been good. His old power was even worse as it just made games painfully long uncoordinated teams and he didn't even have the ability to play the game against coordinated teams. His new power is more consistent and thus he's more consistent and can play the game like a normal killer now. He doesn't need another rework, but he might just need QoL changes to his ability to set snares and how he interacts with the game.

Poor Freddy has had more reworks and patches than most killers and they just keep breaking him. There are a few killers that need a rework badly and he is there.

Honestly if the strength made up for the fact that survivors have to fall asleep first then he would be OK, but his power is not strong at all and can basically be ignored

Yeah but Myers is ar least strong with his addons, Freddy doesn't even have any good ones and the only one decent is his paint brush..

I don't think a rework is necessary. I would be happy with a well done add-on pass along with pallets basekit. No reason he can't have both as neither are very strong. I wouldn't oppose the Dream World being buffed. Right now it's near worthless.
Just going to leave this here: PH is in desperate need of an add-on pass as well. I'm talking all new add-ons not 1.5 second longer KI 🙄

He doesn’t need a rework just an add on pass and let his pallet add ons let u switch between snares and pallets or even make that base kit.

True but that's the same for sadako as well, she's pretty reliant on the condemn strat to be strong
But Freddy he doesn't even have any good addons to lean on to make up for his terrible power

Yes. Imo most other killers have some sort of redeeming factors. I.e
Sadako has a mori
Myers has instadown and great add-ons
Ghostface has instadown
Trapper has good add-ons
Freddy for me has literally nothing good about him.

freddy has one redeeming factor. He is F-tier freddy. He gets nerfed all the time. I think freddy is waste of development time. They had him in an ok spot in the past but survivor disliked him. Its loss cause. I rather they change perks and make the game more fresh to play.

Myers can instadown though (though limited) and can outright kill them with either of the tombstones if they don't get in a locker in time

I agree he is a lost cause without another massive rework. I enjoy easy to use killers like freddy but his add-ons are uninspiring and the movement speed nerf after using a snare was unwarranted.
He could be saved with a really good add-on pass. So long as no add-ons are "gen slowed down by x" or "healing slowed down by x".

i think they first need to remove his m/s reduction on placing snares first. Minus gen slow or healing slowdown, I do not see any real add-on's that would really fit him. Maybe if you could go out of box with him and change his swinging chains to decrease his lullaby by 4 meters for every survivor in dream world and his Jump rope could give him +8 meters of aura reading if you are in dream world when near freddy. Overall, I would be more enticed to see what peanut's perk updates are all about. They seem more interesting then Freddy.

Forever Freddy was so annoying BHVR overnerfed the hell out of him.
I don't think anyone had issue with his basekit, but they nerfed it anyway. If they just removed slow add-ons, he would be fine.
But he is so bad now, I feel sorry for any killer that got him for daily.

Seriously though, Freddy is one of the most dangerous movie killers, it's actually dumb that he isn't at least A-tier just because people wanted to act out over "forever freddy" when you can literally make a "forever" build with any killer.

If you put enough hours in to Freddy, he's actually an awesome killer. I mained him for a long time, but as with other killers, once you become good it gets a little boring and you find yourself intentionally not chasing, just to make the game last a little longer.

I don't really see the comparison. Clown can't teleport from one side of the map to the other in an instant, he can't place fake palllets etc. He has nowhere near as much map pressure as Freddy.
Honestly, if you put enough time and effort in to playing Freddy while using the right perks and add-ons, he can become a strong killer. I wish I had some videos from when I mained Freddy, but I was more often than not getting 3-4k. The only reason I left Freddy was because it started to feel easy and stale.

..what right perks and add ons? His addon set is pretty much a joke
And Freddy can only do one or the other, he can't place Snares if he has pallets, and even then you need an add on slot to do it
The teleport is pretty much the only thing he can do over clown, and even then, a long cooldown and that telep9rt goes away if all the gens get done

Why play Freddy and not Dredge? Except you like franchise...
Both can teleport
Both have antiloop power
Dredge has extra mechanic, where his power gets way better and annoy survivors
