Blight nerf ?
I have to say as of lately im happy with the last nerf that happened to Nurse. Games felt unwinnable before the patch but since the nerf i think its pretty balanced. However, Blight is still a big problem. There is no real chance to win in soloQ, as long as hes good. I think some of his addons should be nerfed in a way, that he has to wait in between his rushes, so you can try to get to another loop. Otherwise you keep going down too quickly and there is no real counterplay. Or what I'd also like is to remove his "hug-tech".

Yea games against a good blight feel completely unwinnable and oppressive. You enter "give up immediately, go next" territory.
I think that BHV is likely relying on analytics data instead of actually playing the game though.
Mandy said that Hug Tech was a bug and will be fixed.... like a year ago. I still have the screenshot.

Honestly the thing that i hate the most about blight is not even that hes broken but that hes the killer that abuses ping differences to the maximum. the BS-hits i get from him at times make me wanna quit the game.

ohhh how can you talk like that about bhvr's beloved child ? you won't like that at all, look at his addons they are not only "strong" they are broken! and what does bhvr do? your hate child (Billy) nerf xDD, Twins addon nerf, Pig, random blast min, MoM nerf and much much more that nobody gets upset about and calls it too strong, but with blight it is as written, BHVR + Blight = Big Love Story

You're correct on how they operate. But don't look a gift horse in the mouth cause if they did actually understand how the game is played then it wouldn't just be killer getting nerfed.

I won’t be surprised if Alch ring and c33 get changed, but I don’t believe any changes to basekit will happen, simply because statistically blight is right around where he should be.
I also do not expect the hug tech to be taken out. Changing collision has proved to be a nightmare process in the past when they have tried to mess with his collision, and blight is in a playable spot with his current collision on most maps. But you shouldn’t be under the impression that removing the hug tech will “nerf” blight. It will just force bump logic, which is stronger anyway.

Totally agree. His add-ons can make a bad Blight thinks he is the best killer in the world.

I wouldn't do any basekit changes, but some of his add-ons are kinda broken...

I'm a killer main, so go right ahead.
I don't play blight because he's annoying to play. Why they thought running into walls repeatedly would be fun is beyond my understanding. Perhaps there is some primal pleasure in smashing one's skull into objects that I haven't yet discovered for myself.
If it were up to me, I'd completely rework his power into something where you don't run into walls.

Because there's a lot of thought that goes into his kit, more so than most other killers. It leads to a lot of skill expression and that's fun for people who like being able to challenge themselves and show off their knowledge and experience. His basekit is right where it should be. His addons are a different monster all together.

Nah people only play him because he's overpowered, but his high skill cap makes him harder to get kills with which likely skews the analytics that DBD devs are basing their decisions off of. Although normally I'd agree that the fun-ness of a killer is subjective, there's a strong argument for Blight being objectively not fun to play or play against.
- Requires you to run into walls, obstructing your view.
- Requires you to abuse certain collision bugs in the game to maximize efficiency.
- Requires lots of mouse sweeping unless you increase your mouse sensitivity into the stratosphere.
- Quite a bit of luck involved due to #1, you can't see where you are going so you have to make a lot of assumptions and guesswork.

The difference between nurse and blight is he actually is a high skill killer. He has several broken add ons that need heavily changed but his base power has a very high skill cap and he has counterplay. It's hard counterplay but it's learnable. For every tech that blight uses there are survivor techs for countering him. Blocking his bounce point on first rush is a good example but you can do it to send him flying off in another direction. Little techs like that are hard to learn and take split second timing but it's doable.

The difference between nurse and blight is that nurse got nerfed and blight didn't.
The many times I have played against him, he's not fun. If you are a lower skill survivor like me (I mostly play killer) and you get paired against even a semi competent blight, your whole team just gets destroyed every time. It's oppressive and not fun. It's ridiculous that people think it's logical to even defend that.
It's even more ridiculous that the devs have allowed this to go on for so long, meanwhile nerfing pig every update for funsies.
Before the nurse nerf I would get games where the nurse would just insta down the whole team with starstruck within two minutes of the game even starting. Absolutely broken.

I can't defend the pig nerfs because those are just ridiculous but blight is fine except for attachments. Survivors just need to get better at facing him. We shouldnt punish people who master a killer just because some people are, and I quote you here, low skill survivors. They just need to get better.

I should be paired against similar skilled killers. We have skill based matchmaking. I should not be seeing blights that can end the game in less than 3 minutes.
Additionally, regardless of the skill gap, games should not be ending this quickly.
Also, how would you suggest a survivor get better against blight other than getting a lucky indoor map? I consider myself bad at survivor because I make mistakes. I know the correct thing to do because I've played enough killer matches to know what good survivors do, but sometimes in the heat of the chase all that goes out the window and I makes mistakes. I attribute this to not having played enough to build up the muscle memory that some people seem to have for survivor. I have good technical understanding of what to do but don't always execute correctly.
Having said that, blight just feels like there's nothing to be done. He just farts at you at the speed of light. Curves unexpectedly around objects he has no business not hitting and has huge map presence on outdoor maps.
He just has everything going for him and none of the downsides that other killers experience.
- Fantastic chase potential.
- Huge map presence.
- OP Addons.
- Nearly impossible to counter power.
Downside?
He's annoying to play.

That's the point of skill based matchmaking if we are going to pretend it actually work the way it's intended. You win some matches and you go against someone stronger than you and they knock you back down to someone supposedly more your level. How will we get better if we don't play against the better players? Also blight is not annoying to play. The speed alone makes him very fun for most players.

do you really believe in matchmaking according to the mythical "mmr"? the developers on one of the streams said that the selection is based on the waiting time, otherwise the search would be too long.

If you read my comment you can see I very much doubt it work well. It clearly does something I just don't know what that something is except make us sweat harder than normal.
