As you should

Bhvr knowing nobodys likes skull merchant
BHVR: Let's make an intire rift where you need to play skull merchant
27 -
Just do what everyone else does and immediately give up when you realize it's a Skull Merchant. Going next is always preferable to playing against a Skull Merchant. Survivor rewards are so low that there is absolutely zero reason to ever waste your time playing against her.
19 -
Yup. You'll get the same amount of bp from a 10/15 min game with any other killer. No point wasting 30+ mins.
9 -
Do what it takes to get out of those games ASAP
4 -
I'm on my 6th right now. Its so funny watching them get mad when you afk at a hook at the start of the game.
4 -
It really is disgusting
4 -
Good night bro
3 -
The logical decision.
16 -
It still amazes me we got a map repeat prevention before a (much needed imo) Killer repeat prevention.
8 -
Can’t say I blame you lol.
5 -
Tbf I'm sure they already had the rift scheduled well in advance of that disaster. Kind of hard to change course at that point.
How do they get mad?
3 -
I usually ignore afk survivors since they usually are busy with something before returning to their match, at least that's my view of things. Now if you're doing it to get quicker out of a match you'll be out of luck because the most I'll do to non-participating players is slug them, no hooking however.
3 -
Normally, I'd play devil's advocate and offer some words of positivity. Unfortunately, because of the Skull Merchant, I have absolutely nothing for you. I'm just so sorry for your experience and wish you're more lucky next time around.
5 -
Don't blame you at all. I'd rather go against Blight or Nurse for 4 games in a row rather than Skull Merchant.
6 -
I have never seen a single killer get mad about an afk survivor.
7 -
Unpopular opinion, but I think facing Nurse is really fun.
I almost never get an insane nurse that insta-downs everyone in the first minute. They're usually killers around my skill level and it's super fun mindgaming with them even when there's no pallets or windows nearby. It doesn't feel like a "I lost and there's no way around it" kinda situation, it feels more like a "If I play my cards right, I may get out of this situation", something that is the polar opposite of what I feel when I play against a Skull Merchant.
3 -
Or at a given time mostly SM players are available. Remember the current rift showcases her new skin. The SMs I encounter all purchase the rift and use the latest skin.

And this is why hook-DCing needs to be removed.
Because Survivors quit like toddlers if the Killer is/uses perks/uses addons/rolls a map that they don't like.
1 -
In a way, Skull Merchant has been really positive for me. I've been focusing on certifications for my career because I have zero temptation to play DbD right now. Sometimes I'm tempted to stop studying, but then I realize it'll probably be a Skull Merchant game, so I go back to studying.
14 -
Really? Because so far I've seen:
-2 streamers who told me some very choice words when I went to their vod.
-A nurse that slugged the OTHER three survivors after I went next and claimed she was upset that I left.
-A blight that left me slugged then made me wiggle until EGC ran out.
Just in case it wasn't clear, I mean "I'm going stand under the hook to signify I want you to kill me so I can go next" and not a legit afk at the start.
5 -
Good you did the smart choice, delete this killer please and never make a power like this again.
5 -
If you do that on my team you are getting reported and a ticket filed for failure to participate in normal gameplay along with a recording.
2 -
off course, because survivor only like play against baby killers or weak killer where they bully and tbag, if dont bully the killer? "ohh i will DC or give up".
0 -
Lol so scary, now he'd sure to stop lmao.
7 -
Nobody moved.
8 -
But you could still play killer instead of survivor
2 -
It'd be a full time job reporting everyone who gives up against skull merchant.
7 -
Yes because forcing people to play a game they dont want to be in is a great decision.
4 -
Based
1 -
You sound fun.
6 -
Don't play if you can't handle being in a game where you don't want to play. 🤷♂️
Not a hard concept to understand.
2 -
The rift was planned even before her release. There's no way they could've make an entire rift in just a few weeks.
0 -
I suppose. I'd play more killer if there was a ranked mode. But right now it's just a sleepwalk 4k 90% of the time.
3 -
Did we? Can't say I've noticed.
1 -
Well the funny thing is, they have said they disable the anti-map repeat feature when they release a new map/variant. That way enough people can play it for testing. So its ends up being down more often than you'd expect.
2 -
Best decision possible.
Lol good luck with that. The only thing that'd make the population shrink faster is disabling SWF.
Hey, so long as they get to bleed out it's all good. Hold shift and crawl around the map to keep any masochistic survivors from trying to heal you back up. If the killer won't even hit you just load another game with DBD running in the background or stream something until the trial is over. Note on that, though: Two games that use EAC don't play nice together and most times the second game won't load, unless you're using VM/sandboxing software. Yet another reason EAC is one of the worst options a developer can pick.
I wish. Part of what makes killers like Wesker so annoying is that since they're popular and easy to pick up you get a disproportionate amount of trials with them. There needs to be some kind of buffer or break in there, even if it's a toggle setting that players can optionally turn on.
I've been in survivor groups where we all AFK'd at the basement hooks at the same time so when the crows show up it's a nice big explosion. It's funny to watch a SM/Knight/Bubba run down the stairs, stop and stare for a few moments, then start swinging at air to try to get us to run. Nope. You picked an äşşƗäşƗįċ killer, have fun with that. I'll be doing something else until the scoreboard pops up.
It's best to not wiggle and force the killer to drop/pick you up repeatedly, before having to down and pick you up again to try to start over. No sense in not pouring some salt on the wound if they're already mad enough to do that.
It's also fun to fail the wiggle checks when the killer is not hooking you but not letting you bleed out by carrying you around until you wiggle off. See how long it takes them losing chases against the other survivors and not being able to kick pallets/gens while carrying you before they hook or drop you.
IKR? When someone's done with a trial, they're done. There's nothing that a killer or other survivor is going to do to change that, but it still gives me a good laugh to see either of their posts proclaiming to be doing something to "teach them a lesson" or "deny them an easy out". For me, I never seem to have enough time for resource gathering/crafting in some of my other games, and I appreciate being given the time for that. Considering BHVR doesn't do anything to anyone unless it's a verified exploit or the most vile/threatening of chat violations, I'm sure their ticket/recording will just make the rep having to deal with it roll their eyes so hard they'll see their own brain before deleting it.
3 -
do the devs need video evidence of no one wanting to play against SM?
3 -
If the population would 'shrink' because Survivors can't ragequit on the hook while dodging the DC penalty; nothing of value would be lost.
After all; they don't finish games anyways.
So remove hook-DCs and let the toxic quitters leave. Win-Win. 🤷♂️

to me it only takes 1
1 -
She is good killer tho. No need to use even gen perks. I don't know how to counter her honestly.
0 -
I wouldn't have a problem with sm players if they didn't constantly bm every single game. Yes slug me as the last person alive for my entire bleed timer while humping the entire time. Even more proof of her holding people hostage

Dude, earlier I loaded in midwich and obviously the killer was skull merchant. The survivors didn't stand a chance, I locked a 3 gen and kept slugging them until my challenge was complete
Bonus points: i took the map offering
Kudos to them, they didn't dc

I still haven't faced one at all 🤣
And im not complaining 🤭

Yesterday I played 4 Ghostface games in a row and today it was 4 Huntress games back to back as well. I was not picking up what the game was putting down.
