If you flash save or sabo you are making a choice
Part of the game, sure. Incredibly aggravating while playing a stressful role, absolutely. You can play how you want but don’t be surprised or upset when the Killer makes you the focus.

...okay?

Seems like a given

One would think. Survivors complain about it plenty though.
”All I did was sabo the hook, forcing him to drop, and he focused me! Some Killers are so sensitive.”
12 -
Would conga-line bodyblocking also qualify?
Also, who hurt you fam?
21 -
Well, at least you only tunnel when it’s ‘deserved.’
oh, wait…
lol.
20 -
Tough to focus someone when the whole team is in on it. Also that usually gets me a bunch of free hits. Turned a 1K into a 3K recently because they tried to bodyblock me from going to the basement. Just couldn’t accept they might not get a 4 man escape.

I do actually have rules, think many Killers do. I want the game to be enjoyable. SWFs have no such qualms.

could say the same thing to every killer that only mind-games while the rest of us want to have fun simple games they continue to tryhard. Part of the game, sure. Incredibly aggravating while playing a stressful role, absolutely. You can play how you want but don’t be surprised when they sabo or gen rush (BNP) or flashlight save the argument goes around and around

Survivor is stressful? Please.
3 -
Makes sense to me. Same with when survivors that are unhooked bodyblock the killer. I'd imagine the survivor would know the risks of these actions already though.
2 -
It can be if you have potatoes in solo queue. For example, earlier I had a game against myers. 3 of us were left with 1 gen remaining. Each person was hooked once. No one else was doing gens no matter how much I tried to urge them and i did all the unhooking/healing....we all died. Trying to carry your team is stressful

I find this post pretty amusing, because both things in my experience end up throwing the game for Survivors.
People looking for flashlight/sabo saves are usually not progressing the objective, which gives the Killer more time to build pressure. Flashlight saves are typically avoidable, and hook sabos result in a slug which ends up building pressure for the Killer.
What routinely happens is the killer drops their slug, and chases the saboteur. The saboteur doesn't want to leave the area, because they want to be in a position to resabo the hook when it respawns. So they loop the killer around the slug. This results in a 3rd survivor crouching/walking over to the scene, and just hiding waiting for an opportunity to safely pick up the slug. That opportunity never comes and if they try picking up in the Killer's face, the survivor is redowned immediately.
The Killer effectively wins the game in that moment, because objective progress comes to a screeching halt.
Killers might not feel in control against these players, but these strategies are self-sabotaging more often than not

I have played soloQ more than Killer. It is not stressful most of the time. When it is clear I have potato teammates, resignation sinks in, not stress.

is there a real point to making this self tell post other than bad bait?
17 -
Seems like many Survivor’s think that the Killer should not throw out the Survivor Rule Book based on how the Survivors play. I am trying to dispel that notion.
1 -
I am in support of solo buffs but survivor could never be more stressful than killer. You actually get downtime (Gens, healing, totem, etc) where as the killer is full go entire match. I actually play games on my phone or listen to music while doing my primary objective as survivor. I could never do this as killer. I don't agree with OP either...sounds like the survivors were targeted for playing the game.

How is saboing and flash saving just “playing the game” but camping and tunneling is not?
4 -
There’s some things to consider especially going against flashlight squads. The more experience you have playing killer the less aggravating those type of survivors will be and not only that but survivors that follow the killer around with flashlights.. who’s doing the gens??? The only real counterplay to a survivor that’s going for hook sabos is as soon as you see them in the distance quickly go to another hook or if you can’t make it drop the survivor and slug..cause again that’s one less survivor off gens. You’re getting handed free pressure but ONLY if your experienced enough to deal with what’s around you as killer to capitalize.

Sabosquads and flashlight heroes are annoying at first but once you realise what to do you can quickly turn it to your favor.
Especially sabotage. Once you learn you can drop the survivor they are bassicely giving you one of the strongest forms of pressurs for free. That being in chase with one slugged.
I love facing survivors who do this. It's more of a matter which side is more skillfull in chase that wins vs who can stall the other side the most

Did I say that?
4 -
Your feelings are that hurt from a flashlight save?
19 -
Man just play how u want and move on, I think most of us get it survivor rulebook bad
3 -
Nah, I just use Lightborn.
0 -
How else did you mean “targeted”?
0 -
that the one time I tunnel the most I mean if you get unhooked and you body block me trying to hit the unhooker you going back on hook..
3 -
Play however and move on to the next match.
Same topic that has been posted about a million times.
2 -
Then why are you on the forums complaining about flashlight saves?
11 -
id love to see this amazing survivor play of yours. would you show us?
3 -
if a game stresses you out.....maybe its not the game at that point? maybe its a you thing

I see you need an elaboration so here goes. Sometimes killers might need to tunnel or camp to try to make pressure later in the game I do this sometimes as well. That is strategy and can sometimes turn a game around that's not going well. In your post however you tunneled (targeted) a specific player because they beamed you or sabo which is just playing the game. can you see the difference? One is being used as a last resort to attempt to win and the other is a killer salty they did not pay attention and got outplayed.
Yes. Sometimes you get a down out in the open where you can't protect yourself from a beamer but there are just as many situations where you can bait the beamer out and switch targets (give or take situation). Usually you can switch target hooks when they try to sabo as well very rarely does a perfect sabo happen. Tunneling and camping are raising the kill rates to a point the devs think killer is fine. I wish there was a way to dismantle these strats so killers can be buffed but won't happen with the current state of the player base. Regardless I don't have an issue with tunneling/camping per se but I do in the situation you describe.
3 -
So you just look for excuses to tunnel people?
You're just using it as a justification.
You aren't even getting flashlighted and your feelings are so hurt by the attempt that you try to tunnel other people out.
Weird.

I don’t need an excuse to camp or tunnel. I will do it as I please. That said I am more likely to with Survivors I find distasteful. My criteria is my own, regardless how you feel about it. Also it feels like you are literally always here.
I said it wasn’t stressful. Never said I was amazing. I’m not amazing at Mine Sweeper or Solitaire, but I don’t find them stressful.
Pretty wide consensus is that Killer is way more stressful than Survivor. If you don’t think so, you are either messing around or don’t play Killer.
Your criteria are arbitrary and you think they should be set in stone. At least many Killers wait till there is a perceived wrong to be distasteful, SWF decide on a Head On/Flashbang or Sabo squad before the game even starts.

Really? Who tipped you off?

I generally play pretty nicely, not killing anyone until i have my 8 hooks. Often if I have already hit Iri1, I'll goof around with people and let everyone out of the gate at that point. If you mess with me getting those 8 hooks though, after fair chases, yeah I'm going to probably remove you as a problem. At the very least, you'll be the one person I make sure dies after I get my hooks.

Thats because I am always here.
3 -
I don't believe there's a single survivor who doesn't expect this.

Person figures out how cause and effect are a concept, makes post.

My favorite build:
Sabo, Break Out, Unbreakable , Flip Flop, with a flashlight.
- Can't get the flashlight save, then I try to sabo/body block.
- Sometime get downed, use flip flop/unbreakable to minimize chances of getting hooked. Works better if teammates have flashlights.
I usually get tunneled after the 3rd or 4th save per game, and that's okay.

Appreciate how the narrative went from that’s not cool to how obvious it is. 🙄
1 -
Then the whole point of this thread is moot. Im so confused.
7 -
I mean that's why I do sabo or flashlight. I want your attention at that point to give my fellow survivors time to do gens. Keep it up. 👍
1 -
It’s pretty obvious when you are trying compensate for a less experienced friend playing. I’ll go for them or wait till you are out of position. People act like there is no nuance to these things.

You literally took the time to make a picture to say who cares. Give that some thought,

Because I had to.

If you say so.

Flashlight saves are annoying but sometimes you can't help but think "damn they pulled that off, respect"
In terms of sabo. If you break hooks you're telling me you don't want hooked so that's fine, slugging it is!

Dunwich, stop. You’re attacking everyone in this thread & there is absolutely no reason for it.
7 -
If you don't agree 100% with them, you're clearly an enemy.

One of my main rules always has been "you touch my hooks, you die", because few things are as tilting in the game as getting a tough down after a long chase and then have it all being taken away by a sabo.
