Achieving iri 1 survivor is impossible
Gain 1 pip, lose 1 pip, no pips, no pips, gain 1 pip, no pips, no pips, lose 1 pip. I'm iri 3 and there is no possible way for me to progress to iri 1. I have been playing since grade reset. The survivors suicide on hook, disconnect, work with killer, tunneled, hookcamped, etc.
SoloQ is dead. Remove this ######### ######### where you lose your pips which is out of my control. Either I gain no pips or I get pips. Losing pips should be when you go AFK or do absolutely nothing but run around and only sit on a generator for 1 sec and hide in a locker, not when you get hook camped, tunneled, or 3 survivors give up within 1 minute of the game.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that thinks this. The pipping system for survivor is so awful it hurts. They should just remove depipping altogether because it has no place in the game anymore.

Yeah im still silver on both sides. I usually do not gain pips on killer as I face good survivors and I can't afford to spread hooks if I want to win as they gen rush so quickly. So I get lot of 3K:s with no pip and sometimes get casual survivors and gain few pips but then get even better survivors than before and lose pip.
On survivor im slowly getting pips but occasionally lose them but still im only silver 2. When I used to play more I could reach iri 4 but after that it was nearly imposible to get higher grade. I once tried 2 weeks to reach higher grade and only got to iri 3... You just need swf to have chance and you purposelly have to throw games as winning too much result in depip as well.

I don't mind depiping as a whole but I hate getting sandbagged by a teammate that causes me to deploy. On the flip side, I've had players DC that made what should have been a borderline double pip into depiping....super frustrating as both sides though. Getting iri 1 isn't too bad for either side even in solo queue

I'm sorry, don't wanna necroposting, but I was struggling it even before killer patch.
Today I can't even imagine how to get it. Maybe Otz or Ayrin will do this challenge, but for regular people - don't think it's possible. Either you assemble top-tier god SWF team or forget about it. That Iri1 run back in a days still give me shivers. Nowdays I never gone event to gold rank.

The emblem system is quite annoying and needs some attention. It's an absolute pain to rank up as Survivor and certain killers.

The emblem, scoring, and piping system should all be more in line with each other. I hate it when I get max score in categories but still depip lol

It's fight sometimes, but it's totally possible. I
may justplay way too much, but I've done it almost every month in recent memory, and I only play solo queue. I've only really had to make a late push for it recently because I have been playing a lot more killer (I usually just play whatever role has the incentive, and it's been mostly killer for a while).The challenge doesn't really start to set in until you get to golds. The pipping system needs a lot of work (one easy change would be to disable de-pipping when there is a disconnect), but it's far from "impossible". For me the key is recognizing early when your team is cheeks and re-calibrating from playing for escape to salvaging a safety pip. If you can avoid de-pipping too much, getting to iri 1 becomes mostly a function of play time.
All that said, if you only play a few hours a week, then yeah, it's a tall order.

I always achieve rank 1 iri on survivor, playing only in solo queue. If I can, you can. On your feet, soldier!

If you're losing just finish 2 gens and go for 2 unhooks and 2 full heals.
If you win a single chase that should be enough to pip and guarantees safety pip.

The law of large numbers. Eventually, more pips will come but it does get very aggravating when you need only one to get to the next iridescent (or to rank IV) and you lose it all.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it - they should remove negative pips since grades are no longer used for matchmaking. All a negative pip does is add unnecessary frustration to an already frustrating match. They changed "entity displeased" to "entity hungers" because it made killers feel bad to see that. Negative pips makes players on both sides feel bad so they should change them to safety pips.

They should just remove depipping and be done with it.

In all honesty, and not to brag, but after a 2 year break (started back around fall of 2018/2019, break, came back December) this is the first time I hit Iri 1 on both surv and killer in 2 weeks time.
The -1 depip needs to go, IMO, unless you DC , inactivity/AFK/die on first hook. Otherwise 0 pip should be the minimum.

I've been iri 1 for a week or so now. its not hard just try and be a good team mate and you will get it naturally

It can be hard, specially in solo Q, and losing a pip, which I still don't understand why that is even a thing, it should be just for people that DC. And the increase on camping/tunneling.
When I reach iri, I just stop solo Q and only play with friends

No, you need ton of luck, because maybe you are at 4 pips, but then you get 2 matches straight where people dc if they are first down, or you get tunneled/facecamp by the killer, then you get depip twice, then in the third you don't get to do enough to get a pip, maybe because the killer only find you and you couldn't do gens or heal others, but not a depip, but then, you engage another tunneler or dc players, and then you lost your third pip
