Thoughts on the Ability to Kill
After playing as both a killer and survivor, I think there are many killer perks that make a DBD match particularly unfair. One of such perks is the ability to ‘kill’ a survivor (or all survivors for that matter). As a killer, this perk is helpful when playing against skilled players, but provides no additional benefit to the gameplay, it does not really ‘equalize’ the playing field, and it is not fun for anyone but the killer playing. Make no mistake, I think matches should be challenging and frankly hard. But, matches should also be relatively fair as well. My thoughts are that game creators should remove this perk and encourage better gameplay. Additionally, they could also supplement this perk with a survivor’s ability (or a multiple survivor ability) to ‘kill’ the killer. While this would not be so fun as a killer, this may defray unfair killers from tunneling, body blocking, or camping players. Whatever the case, I’m curious as to what others think. I think a full dialogue on this might be helpful to provide robust recommendations to game developers. What do you all think?

What perks are you talking about? Hex:Devour Hope and Rancor? How make these perks the game unfair? The first is gone once you find the totem and needs 5 hooks for the killer, giving you a notification at 3. The other one is only for the obsession after all gens are completed.

Either really. Games are usually hard as they are. A killer’s ability to kill robs players of their ability to escape (which is usually really, really hard as it is). Folks who play as sole killers in the game will likely disagree, but as someone who plays both killer and survivor, this perk isn’t fair to survivors. I would say the no one escapes death perk is also in the unfair category.

Lmao no as a killer and survivor main learn to use small game, detectives hunch ,counterforce etc also maps can help find totems and totem spawns still aren’t the greatest anyways

Just learn the game? it's easy to predict either and counter it, killers realistically can't find obsessions if they are skilled at hiding.
