Gift us a voice in the match or gift us a reason too trust you

tell me, how can I tell my team mates to stop what they are doing. I can't in solo and it make team play a pipedream at best, gift us local voice chat or local voice command.

The game have soon 7 years and the most basic team play mechanic has not been in this game ever, we have gotten other more complex game mechanic. But not this mechanic, the one mechanic that make everyone say that DBD is still a E,A game.

1: you telling me, that it is bad when people will miss use it, Somthing you can report people for doing. Also who play Oline multiplayer game where communication is a deal breaker.

2: you then say oh it is bad for the game balanced, but right after tell me to do SWF. Like that would not work better for a SP.

3: you never adresse voice command, only voice chat. Please gift a feedback on that too

    1. You can play and enjoy an online game without having a desire to listen to people scream obscenities at you.
    2. Lets say they add this, and it becomes default, and more people use voice chat. That means survivors will end up being more effective, and will need to be nerfed (as a whole). This means that Actual Solo Survivors, those who continue to opt out of VC, will get nerfed because of others using VC. Hence, this would be WORSE for Actual Solo Survivors. If you want VC, you're not a Solo Survivor, you're a SWFer without a group, get a group, it's not hard, there are loads of discord groups out there.
    3. TF is 'voice command'? Like Siri?

    1. yes you can do that, but nobody say. Oh damn it has voice chat, if I did meet anybody that did that. Then I would tell them that online multiplayer is not the type of game for them.
    2. I said it was a local, mening short range from from. So I can say run, stop or help.
    3. voice command, like click a button and your avatar say ''medic'' or ''yes'' or ''no'' or ''scotland is not a real country'' a voice chat if you have no mic

The devs should add sounds to the survivor emotes. It would be like clicking your flashlight to get another survivor's attention.

Press the Beckon emote once for the gesture, but press it twice to also make the survivor go "Psst!"

Same for Pointing. Once for the emote only, twice to make your character go "Shhh."

    ----

These are easy to implement across all survivor characters since the sounds are not affected by race or gender.

Just don't make it audible to the killer, and put in a cooldown for the audio to prevent annoying spam.

I would say ceep it audible too the killer, Because I can see way more use of that in time

I only see it being used to BM, antagonize, or annoy the killer.

I just want to point in the killer's direction, not give away my location to headphone killers.

I think if we make it so that if the killer is in ear shoot of it rather then hear it they get a reval location, but if there is a ithem like radio or recoder, you can then trick and play a mind game against the killer. Or make perks around sound commands, like a perk that make it so the killer hear it from another direction or make voice command to the killer to get them follow you. you could even make a perk where after the killer hear that voice command they don't hear gen or other play for a time, it would be a Quick Gambit combo peice

    Nah, it would be abused..

Just use emotes, people often enough communicate with me through them, it is working fine.

tell me, how can I tell my team mates to stop what they are doing.

Often quick tbagging next to them works, and then if they stop, you can point away, to tell them to leave.

You can not be guarenteed that they will follow your orders tho, but same goes with voice.

    abused how

and I would not have said anything if what the game gift us work well, but it work really bad, new player have no idea what you wan't and some even ignoreder you. I have so maney cases of my team mates doing things that make my perks or items useless because of there actions

quike note I am low mmr on surveiwer because of the team work problem on solo and the communication system i brouhgt up should make it easy to fix and I can see maney bring it up on other forum as a wanted fix. But when people disagre, there are 2 thing they say

1 people can be jorks, yes people can and they are in the game right now and they can be kind. you can help a new player, you can say sorry for a honest mistake, you can have a Ace player run past you from bubba. While say #########, #########, #########, that further and further away from you.

2 when people say you can abuse it or it will bring balance issue to the game, there nothing more said than that. Please tell me more, like how will it be like that. I wan't to know these things, because I wan't to be able to counter argue with you.

    1. As someone who has played PUBG and WOT in the past: voice chat in dbd would be a horrible idea for reasons stated here:

    2. Instead of voice commands I would like something similar of a ping system or pre-written message system like the one on mobile. There you can click on messages like "the killer is near me", "I go rescue", "focus on gens", "don't finish this Gen" and more. These messages are then shown to the others for a few seconds.

Why do you think you have the authority to tell your teammate what to do in the first place?

    1. as someone who have playede Friday 13th the game, TF2, counterstrike, wow and left 4 dead 2. I know how much voice chat can make games where you play with others less headic
    2. That will not work, the game those already feed you info on screen and more on screen is just too maney cooks. most people have ears that work. Let us use that and too those who does not have set sub on, to help them with that

because we are teammates, they can tell me stuff. Just as much I can tell them, like ''stay on gen, I have gambit'' So now my teammate know we can finnish the gen. Or my team mate tell me ''I have Repressed Alliance'' now I know I am being a road block and have too go away. And everyone will feel better, because players can be teammates.

the only two of those games I play with friends is wow and left 4 dead 2. And even then, then play with other people I did not know.

Here is an example from another game i played, that had that suggested voice chat.

We joined an instance, and i left my computer 20 secs (tops) to show my wife how to do, one from my team saw that i was afk short while, he spend the rest of the match following me around and screaming all hes lungs could, about my moms private parts...

A big NO thank you to this suggestion.

If your perks are important enough that your teammates should know what they are, then you should have told them before the match started.

I for one don't need children telling me what they do to my mother on a normal basis, thank you very much.

May I ask how coomon that is? Like does it happen every game or some games, mabye even only happen that one time?

  • Hexan
    Hexan Member Posts: 71

Then mute voice chat, I wan't it to make it better to work togehter. But I don't wan't people are force to use it, but I can't for the life of me see a reason. That the voice chat is there and people can mute if need be, you are really telling me you never notice that VC has a mute option in all games. Because game dev know there will always be a bad actor, but also know that teamwork need communication.

Ok, this person is calling me slurs, time to mute them.

    All right, done.

Oh, I'm down. That's a cool thing to come back to.

Or I will not run into the chanse of jerk. Go to seting and mute chat, and this feature would be like it never happen.

Or you could report a player for abuse after the match is over

    Technature Member Posts: 619

That's implying reporting players does anything.

It happened enough to make me stop playing the game. I didnt count the actual times.
