Nicolas Cage's Dracula ?

We all have been asking for a vampire (Dracula in specific) for a long time and now that BHVR is sponsoring Cage , they could use this opportunity to license his Dracula character too . The movie may not have performed well but we can all agree that Cage was the spotlight in it. And in the game the reception would be completely other way around. Cage + Dracula + Vampire based killer. 3 in 1.

His Dracula is not only based visually on Bela Lugosi but is brutal as hell too . Its a perfect match. And since this is not a massive movie license , I think that BHVR would have little to no issues getting it.

Nicolas Cage's outfits not be any of the movie outfits he's worn, but rather they will be based after what Nicolas Cage would be wearing in real life.

But Dracula has his likeness , so if they already cooperate with him that is half way there to license his Dracula character.

The character of Dracula is public domain. It can be used freely without obtaining licensing. As long as the visual is not too close to another work that is subject to copyright then a Dracula outfit could be created for any unlicensed character (just like the "Alice in Wonderland" cosmetics are unlicensed).

If the character is licensed, permission would only need to be obtained from the license holder of that character.

Maybe, if they do a vampire killer, it would seem very plausible for the vampire to have Cage's likeness from the movie.

It depends whether the movie makers have the rights to the image or not, but for me if it brings them revenue I can't see an issue with it. Depends on them really.

Thing is, it doesn't matter if Dracula has his likeness because the iteration of that character as well as the clothing for that character are from a movie that's owned by a company and not Nicolas Cage himself, so they would still have to get the license from that company in order to get the clothing for Nicolas Cage.

Since the license we have is purely with Nicolas Cage himself and no one else, any characters or clothing from any movies owned by a company that Nicolas Cage has played in would result in it's own contract and would be it's own dlc seperate from the Nicolas Cage dlc, not to mention we haven't had any dlc yet where a new company later got a cut of an existing dlc as well because bhvr gave a cosmetic from a different property that isn't covered contractually with the existing dlc. (I'm looking at you ghostface dlc with no scream robes.)

Best they can do is make cosmetics that's loosely based on the outfits he's worn in movies, so where they look like them but ain't completely accurate to them, just enough to avoid legal trouble.

Also in an interview with Mathieu Cote, he said that they weren't gonna make outfits from the movies he's in, but from what he wears irl.

That is what I was saying. They already work with Cage , now just to work with the company too. Renfield's Dracula has Cage's face on him so they would have to work with him too. But by already working with Cage they are halfway there.

But given that Dracula is in the public domain it might be better to go original. No hassle about cosmetics nor dlcs etc..

Just thought that they could've picked up Dracula by getting the license from the company since they already chose to work with Cage for some reason. Both killer and survivor in one package.
