How can we fix tunneling?

My friend had an idea over call earlier when we were talking about tunneling. Couldnt come up with a whole fix obviously, we came to the conclusion that it will always be an issue while killing is optimal. Heres the idea:
If you slapped while basekit BT is active, then your on hit burst is extended from 1.8s to 3s.
This prevents tunneling directly off hook. The only weakness of course, being waiting out BT. But since it lasts 10 seconds with a speed boost, 10 x 4m/s = any pallet within 40m is yours. This way, killers who shred through health states cant tear through BT and tunnel away. For example, a melee hatchets are very good at denying distance and getting quick downs. Almost a basekit STFBL for her. Being able to almost ignore BT makes her very good at tunneling, or at least better than most. Not even melee huntress could tunnel super easily with this change.
I know tunneling as a last ditch effort is completely valid and fair, like camping in endgame. This could cause issues there, but hey its just a suggestion and could be built upon. what do you think?
TL;DR 50% basekit overcome on basekit BT would be a pretty good anti camp change.
