Unbreakable should be a meta perk

As we saw with dead hard when a perk becomes part of the meta it changes how killers play, dead hard wasn’t that hard to counter but it still is unhealthy to make killer have to wait it out even on people who don’t have it, it also made it harder for newer killers to get into the game.

However if any perk should be meta it should be Unbreakable. Camping (In a certain way) is a real issue that damages the game in so many ways and as someone who is trying to switch back over to being a killer main I am very happy it is being implemented, however basekit anti slug should not happen (Only other some circumstances MAYBE like if they are the last survivor or the other second to last survivor while the other survivor is being chased; although to a good killer that won’t do much so there is so real reason to add it) but as Unbreakable becomes more and more meta it leads people to not want to slug as much or if they do if someone most likely has it they can pick themselves up (This post was mainly to say don’t give survivors basekit anti slug and just give Unbreakable more thought)

The issue with unbreakable is that it doesn't guarantee value in every single match. Dead hard was so good because it had minimalistic requirements but major value in offering a free second chance to extend chases.

Unbreakable doesn't do that and requires you to be slugged in order to work. Sometimes you'll run into a killer slugging, or will just end up in a situation where you're all slugged in which yes it works, but that doesn't always happen. Most times you're picked up instantly which negates the perk entirely.

If you look back at the old meta before the shift last year - if you ignore DH, it was unbreakable/ds/bt. if the killer wasn't camping or tunnel right off hook, you'd get no value, if the killer didn't tunnel, ds did nothing, if the killer didn't slug unbreakable did nothing. They were meta because the value you'd get from them when they came into play was much greater than the risk of them being dead perks if the killer didn't slug, camp, tunnel, etc.

I personally only really ran bt because I needed a build a bit more.. tangible in value that got consistent value every match, even if that meant I couldn't completely change the course of the match if those things came into play.

To the op, I think I would still consider ub to be part of the meta. I see it still quite often in my matches and it can still be a complete game changer, as it always was.

It’s for changing how the killer plays not getting value each game. Dead hard did that but in an unhealthy way without it even being that good of a perk. We need perks like Unbreakable to be really meta because it stops things like slugging to happen as much

Yes, I think it would be so much smarter to instead of giving basekit unslug or anti tunnel they should try and morph and change the meta. There will always be a meta so might as well and have control over it to make it as healthy as possible

Not sure if this really is "Feedback and Suggestions", but Unbreakable is currently the 7th most popular survivor perk according to nightlight.gg

But I agree that I don't actually see it super often in my games. I feel like there's about 50% chance that there's a single unbreakable. Sometimes more than 1.

yes I know it still is a popular perk, but I more mean dead hard levels of popularity pre-nerf
