FORCE HESITATION CAMPING/SLUGGING/TUNNELING

The meta is tunneling and camping (I'm not saying that a bad thing but it simply the state of game).

Yall took a clear stance on wanting to reduce face camping but this perk will make killers camp more. This perk can hurt survivors who play overly altruistic and it sound like a nice counter to a bully swf on paper but it won't be use in that way. Killers will camp a survivor, slug the unhooker, and tunnel the slow survivor in that order. A survivor moving 20% slower will likely get tunnel easily. Please consider reworking this perk slightly. Overall i love the chapter peace

This perk will make hook trades even harder. I don't know what BHVR was thinking with this perk. And they even buffed it more.

Another prove devs are not playing their own game, they are clueless.

When a Survivor is Hooked, Killers know the following:

    Where that Hooked Survivor is.

Where other Survivors will go to unhook that Survivor.

How long other Survivors have to prevent a sacrifice threshold to be reached.

And when a Survivor is Unhooked the Killer knows the following:

When the Survivor is unhooked. (Notification/HUD)

Where the Survivor was Unhooked. (Notification).

That two Survivors are at the Unhook location.

I honestly do not believe that they are interested in reducing camping and tunneling if they are addressing only 1/6 of the reasons that Hook design promotes and reinforces it. (Self-unhook, but heavily curated).

And yeah, this Perk buffs proxy-camping. Which promotes hyper-tunneling.

I'm looking forward to running it with Forced Penance just for fun.

I don't like this perk too.

Not only it works the best on killers who don't need stronger perks already (Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Plague, Oni etc), but it is also really effective in making camping/hook trading more effective.

This perk is supposed to counter survivors following you to get a grasp save (pallet/flashlight/etc) but in reality this perk would often trigger when survivors don't have a realistic chance of doing that and they were just caught near downed survivor. With this perk killer would be encouraged to slug and chase that survivor and that's not a good perk design.

Like, how can BHVR fail so badly with newest perk design? Made for this is overpowered mess that'll be exploited by good players, Scavenger looks like it's going to be really nasty if it works the way it is written to work (activates after toolbox is depleted, meaning you just use the toolbox to finish the gen AKA AS INTENDED and then ######### around for 30 seconds, fill the toolbox and slam it by the end of the next gen & repeat) and Forced Hesitation is a stupidly designed perk that promotes unhealthy playstyles and significantly helps top tier killers while not helping weaker ones much.

Other 3 new perks are kinda mid, because they're mostly niche, but still, 3/6 perks being stupid / unhealthy is just a new record, I think, not a single chapter has scored so many at this point.

Honestly, worse than the camping part is the slugging potential of this perk. Just imagine an Alch Ring Blight with this perk and think about the damage they can do.

Yeah well with the current state of the game its kind of the only thing lower/mid tier killers can do. Given how Windows of Opportunity just allows people to go mindlessly comp drop AND have it still be super effective is a massive issue that only got more solidified with the gas heaven and blood lodge reworks.

Yeah. It’s the only thing it’s actually good for too. 16m is a pretty small radius so I don’t think it’s going to be that useful as an actual chase perk because it’ll be too niche for that. It’s just going to be used by killers who want to camp and tunnel.

With it being buffed to 20%, an unhooked survivor is going to have a speedboost and still be unable to get away because they’ll be slower than a survivor with Wesker’s infection.

To me, the simplest way to mitigate the tunneling potential of the perk is add "This perk does not affect Survivors with the Endurance status effect" to its description. This reduces the tunnel potential on a hook trade significantly.

lol don't get me wrong! i like tunnel every so often when i play killer but this is down right silly perk.

I love BHVR but how does stuff like this make it pass the ptb

Devs are pushing for more slugs so that more people will complain and they can bring back unbreakable basekit into ptb again.

Either that or they really don’t play their game lol
