Killer in unplayable in console
At least on PS, playing killer is absolute garbage, the amount of hits that fall short or just randomly decided to turn and hit a wall is just absolutely ridiculous, PC survivors have a huge advantage against console killers just cause how movement and swings are so limited, is impossible to have a fun match and is in general just a horrible experience. I'll just stick to survivor, where PC killerd still have a little advantage but is not as big as the other way around.

I feel bad for people who play on Xbox one and PS4 cause 30fps is definitely ruff.. Xbox series x and PS5 is pretty good tho @60fps and killer feels fine and is pretty much on par with PC specs other then no m&k. Playing killer on controller takes skill especially on 100 sens but there’s no real movement and swing limiter playing killer on console.
Nurse, Oni, Huntress and Blight have an advantage on m&k over controller, but you can still land some nasty flicks with controller on 100sens playing those killers it’s just way harder and requires timing.

Killer is def easier on PC, but with the possible exception of a handful of killers, it's quite playable on console, especially the current gen machines. And even those killers are playable, you just won't ever be top tier with them using a controller.
There will be some moments of frustration when you get your FOV exploited, and with aim dressing hijinks, but you can keep up on console with killer.

On ps5 I don't play killer at a high sensitivity as I don't like it which makes PC survivors 360 so much easier which sucks. But in 2 different games a pallet stunned me when I wasn't in the same post code of the pallet let alongside it.
I put it off after that. It's bad enough playing console killer without random pallet stuns.

It can take some getting used to, and I still whiff on a good 360 now and then, but all 'melee' killers are fine on console. Ranged killers on the other hand...

If you play on ps I strongly advise you to keep the sens low and gradually raise it as you get used to it. That's what I did, now I play killer with 80 sens

The wiggle back and forth is what always gets me due to how aim dressing works. You'll lunge but for some reason aim dressing makes it so you just swipe and come up short of the hit. Super frustrating when it happens as it can absolutely ruin your pressure.

Trickster is the one only killer I'd consider absolutely unplayable with a controller. All other killers can be learned over time and get decent with, but not him.

Over 4000 hours on Xbox controller and can without a shadow of doubt you are 100% right. Trickster is the ONLY killer I will not recommend on controller. He can be played just will be the most frustrating and unsatisfying experience in DBD. Saddest part? I can still get a 50% win rate with him since most survivors are butt juice.

I’d argue that you can never perform how you’d like with Blight and Oni as well. Even at 100% sens, you simply can’t perform the hard flicks that keyboard and mouse players can pull off.

You can argue that until your face turns blue but I have never once said damn I would have won if I was on PC with any killer except Trickster. You can play every other killer at a high enough level to win majority of games. Remember.....Most survivors are booty juicy.

I play with 70% sensitivity for the record on killer. 100 on survivor if you care to know.

My point still stands though. Yes, you can become good enough with them, but you will never reach the potential a PC Blight or Oni can reach; you simply can’t flick hard enough to catch survivors that hard turn you last second. It’s not a skill issue, it’s a literal lack of DPI.

It's weird though, because I play on Xbox One and do not feel that hindered at all. It may be because my internet is extremely good. I feel the difference comes with internet strength as a big reason, alongside the next gen stuff.
I recently saw a friend play it on the PS5 at his house, but other than the clear graphical differences and higher fluidity of motion, I found there was little difference between them.
Not doubting a higher gen has it better, but the internet connection also has a strong influence.

Yeah, I can play a pretty serviceable Huntress and Slinger on controller, but Trickster is rough on console. I almost always trash can Trickster dailies.

Samsies. I feel whenever those dailies appear it is the game trolling tf outta me.

I wouldn't say unplayable, besides Trickster. I've played him like once since the week he released.
Every other Killer is just a worse version of their PC counterparts, unfortunately.
