In regards to a recent AMA answer.
There were a lot of things asked during the AMA,but one thing made me concerned in particular.
Responding to a question that basically amounted to "what is up with the map balance" BHVR has stated "We didn't have the resources required for Red Forest, update coming later". I do not understand how to read this any other way but "we didnt have the resources required and rushed this out"?
Can someone on the dev team comment on this? If this is how map releases are handled,I'm very weirded out. Frankly I'm confused why they weren't resources to at least, shrink Mother's Dwelling? What is the map team doing?

While the map is still big, I think the visual update is gorgeous. It doesn't feel rushed to me at all so I don't think that's how they intended the reply to come across. I'd say it was more that their goal was to update it graphics-wise as opposed to doing any larger changes that would require moving things around.

It's hard to navigate, the loops blend into the environment and there are tons of new filler loops that are much more annoying to play for both sides. Both maps have been buffed for survivor arguably,so there were some gameplay changes for sure.
Also I really don't get why they couldn't at least lower the map size, that doesn't seem tremendously difficult.

It's a shame too, because as mentioned both new Red Forest maps look way better, but Mother's Dwelling especially still has the same problems it always had, and BHVR has shown that they simply do not have the ability to map balanced maps.

They probably don't have enough wood.

It's not just the same problems,it's a wild array of new ones. The much worse collision, finnicky filler loops making the map even safer and everything blending in making you unable to see anything. It's actively worse sadly.
Judging from the pallet density I'd say the opposite.
