this new survivor meta is becoming a huge problem
Expecially for M1 killers, the "Made for this + Hope" meta is a real problem.
Some players are seying "ThE PeRK is FiNe" and 80% of the players are using it.
Speed bonus is a REALLY delicate topic, you cant just give it like bread, this has to stop.
Playing an m1 killer feels awefull right now.

A lot of people might not realise the implications of haste for a lot of killers
Many killers intentionally slow themselves down while preparing or using their powers, so haste status effects on the survivor make these slowdowns even more harmful for the killers distance in chase and allows them to make much more distance. It's sorta like how Clown can amplify his purple bottles by hitting himself with a yellow.

At this point i´m honestly surprised that no one has thought about bringing Dark Theory to the party.

Hope will not be meta because most survivors won't reach endgame, and then if they reach it's pretty much guaranteed escape for like 75% of times.
made for this, on the other hand...

It is awful but the gen rush is even worse, every single game there is 1-2 survivors with stacked toolboxes, resilience, Prove Thyself. It's a miserable time to be playing killer.

The easiest fix is to remove haste stacking. Atm that would only hurt Dark Theory, but eh, it's not good anyways.
For now I assume people will start running NOED on M1 killers for that extra boost of speed (which will get destroyed in 30 seconds)

Well to be fair, they were complaining non stop on here about healing, CoH, dead hard and such, so now since all our healing items are not great and homongized, there isn't much else to do but generators.
I miss having item variety, getting excited to see a ranger kit in my blood web. Now it's just tool boxes and Gen rushing. No need to self heal or do much else. It's either unhook or do a Gen.

MFT has only been out a few days. I'd hardly determine a meta perk that quick. Believe it or not but people just want to try out new perks and builds. They usually drop them after a short while.

I've seen a Dark Theory in one survivor game I played. The problem ultimately is Dark Theory is confined to a specific area and you can't always guarantee the killer chases you around it.

This would hurt Guardian. Guardian gives 7% haste on unhook when survivors basekit get 10%.
I don't think we need to go straight for no haste stacking, we can nerf it by making it stack multiplicatively so that multiple effects together are not as strong.

How would that work? If you made it multiplicative then 2 sources of 10% haste would be 121% ms vs the 120% that is right now. Additive is what makes it weaker when stacking and multiplicative makes it stronger.

I mean, MFT also hard counters the Knight. Unless you massively misplay or are put into a corner, only the Assassin can catch up to you.

We will see

Oh right Guardian... Fair. If this combo becomes a problem, this is the only way I can see it being nerfed. Unless they nerf hope to like 5% and Made for This to 2% I guess (or rework it).

i do this. and shadowstep.

I do not know what were the devs thinking when they made this perk. It crushes all sort of balance for m1 killers. And poor hag is gonna suffer the most for it.

People have been saying they are bored of the current meta and suddenly a new meta defining perk comes and nope...gotta get rid of it. Back to the boring, old meta.
I think the game has become too geared to being chase oriented so I can see why people are excited for something like MFT and how it has become a new meta perk.

there's nothing wrong with current meta it's a pretty healthy one, the current slowdowns killers have are decent but nowhere near as strong or annoying as any of their predecessors and you often see some aura/chase/other perks in killer's load outs now .
and on the Survivor side the variety of exaustion perks and in general other perks in Survivor's load outs is unprecedented.
current meta is healthy and pretty fresh it didn't even have the time to be any close to boring yet.

Because it's terrible and more of a gimmick perk

What's really sad is all the bickering between survivor mains & killer mains when the real common enemy here are the people that made this game.

100% true.
I play Oni and I can't even land a flick on an injured survivor in this meta.
All they need is a trash tile to circle around and it's so brain dead to face.
What happens after is that whatever survivor without the combo gets tunneled out and if they all have it it's an automatic game lost.
It's waaaay worst than DH since you can't tell if it's the perk or subtle hacks and I am fairly sure that many hackers are ecstatic that now there is a perks that does exactly what they do... way easier to hide it.
Killswitch the perk.
