We need a boli over nerf
We need a nerf for boli over, maby keeping it mostly the same but either takeaway the not being able to see hooks within whatever radius, or make it less. As it currently is survivors that run flipflop and boli over can just run up a hill or the second story of a big building(the worst map for going against this is Ormond) and just wiggle off your shoulder because you'll have to drop down to hook them witch gives 30 percent the current wiggle progress, the problem is that if you slug them they could have unbreakable and just pick themselves up. As it is currently the only counter to this is to slug them witch will cause survivors to call you toxic and will get you reported for griefing the way to fix this is either nerf boli over so that the drop down wiggle progress is less or reduce the not being able to see close hook radius, or do both, would this make boli over a horrible perk? Not really, it would still be what it always was, witch was a faster way of wiggling off the killers shoulder. The other way this could be fixed is to do what happens on garden of joy witch is that theres a hook on the the second story of the main building, this could be done to all maps(within reason) with a second story. The reason I'm not mentioning Nerfing flipflop is because it's already not a very good perk except in some builds such as this one, it's extremely annoying and hard to go against even for me, and I like to consider myself a pretty good killer (although I'm definitely not the best) so newer killers would have basically no way of dealing with this because the only game mechanics they know are to chase survivors, kick gens, and hook survivors. Not being able to do the main point of the game could make new players not want to play and could make people that want to pick up the game not want to because of problems like this. Please try to find a fix for this!

Worst part is it ridiculously hurts the console players all while M&K players casually riding the sway.

Try running Boil Over yourself for 10-15 games and you will see you will get value probably 0 times and you will get hooked anyways. It’s not a good perk, very situational and inconsistent, which is fine for what it does. Iron grasp + Agitation will be your best friends if you struggle against Boil Over!
Cheers :)

Slugging isnt reportable.

As a Tenacity enjoyer, I wish my killers would slug more 😥
In seriousness, Boil Over feels like its in a decent spot to me. With the flip flop combo, if you down and pick up immediately it has no value, and you see you've got boil over on the HUD, and immediately know not to drop off things. You also know it for future interactions with this survivor.... It's rare you're in a situation where you can't actually make it to hook.
The aura denial doesn't affect me so badly, I actually always stick a Auric Gem on my hook cosmetics so I see a nice bright orange ball dangling there when I look for hook.
What you might consider, is if you see someone doing what you've described, acknowledge this combo might be a thing, and make a quick note of nearby hooks and don't wait to pick them up...
The wiggle strength is a bit rough as a console user... but y'know that is how its supposed to feel. Console gamers play games legit on an even keel with everyone else, without their fancy overclocked graphics cards for higher frame rates, weird graphics settings to make things easier to see, perfectly customisable control schemes and macros in configs, DPI settings they can change on the fly... honestly one has to ask if you're really a gamer any more playing on PC, or a sweaty old try hard? 😏😏😏😏😏

Well. Don't nerf it. I love it when survivors use this perk against me. They legit never get value - and I can count about 3x where it gave value (both from wiggling into side of a hook or doors and barely not making it into hook, because somebody also helped some survivor - think bodyblock in one of the cases and hook sabotage in the other).
a, if you are aware of the hook spawns, the aura blocking does basically nothing (and you can very easily predict hook spawn based on auras of far-away hooks + known spots)
b, you CAN drop with active boil over. You just can't wait and then drop. The thing is the bonus wiggle is from current wiggle progress - which is basically 0 right after pickup
c, you can catch rhythm of boil over's wiggling - if you do this right, you actually can get to hook faster then when BO is not equipped - in this case BO works a little bit like aggitation.
d, if you actually can't really make it, because all else failed, you can just make survivor wiggle free next to a drop - this will stagger said survivor so you can catch him within like 5m distance. Very easy thing and you can do that very reliably (when you know survivor is 70% wiggled off, you just hit drop button when on the edge of a drop for instant wiggle free into drop).
e, slugging is perfectly valid answer to this. Their report means nothing. It would be the same as you reporting them for "toxic gameplay abuse". It's not. You just countered that in suboptimal way.
I would actually argue flip-flop is stronger perk then boil over. Because even though BO "works" in soloQ, flip-flop+power stuggle in SWF (duo is enough and you can pull this off in soloQ if you can look obvious enough to bait killer in a wrong way) can get value MUCH more reliably. You just need your friend to threaten pallet drop/flash save for you in a way that killer does not instantly pick up. There's much less actual defense against this (you can chase the other person and leave 1st person slugged - or you can pick the other survivor quickly enough so that no other survivor can come quickly enough - both of which are quite risky).
Overall even flip-flop+power struggle most of the time are not worth it, because you don't do gens quickly enough = you end up bleeding out and killer will probably win (after frustrating game for him)

I actually used to main Kate and I have to agree with you! I had not taken into account that most maps actually don't have a second story and if they are on a hill 9/10 there's a hook on it plus you would drop down so fast that the progress gains wouldn't be that much. Thx for reminding me 😂 with that being said I think that omend definitely needs a hook on the second story as all the times I've been against this it has been in the backrooms on the second floor. I'm still relatively new to the game and you seem experienced so I wanted to ask for your input if that would be ok

Yeah, all maps should have hooks in their main building if it has a second story like happens on Thompson House or Garden of Joy so they’re not exploitable that easily. That’s the reason the crows map has two, and old RPD had no hooks in the library so it was easy to exploit, and they had to change it. For sure Ormond should have a guaranteed hook if it does not have the basement in the main building, maybe maps like the Crotus Prenn ones too in all the variations.

I run Boil Over at times and it’s very situational. Survivors can try to be strategic about it but in most cases it’s the choices the killer makes that give or take away its value. On the new Toba Landing a Dredge just dropped me off the ledge and then dropped to pick me up again. It was brilliant because he knew exactly how to counter the perk and I couldn’t be mad - I tried but he outplayed me.
