Knight - map of the realm basekit
If you've played the Knight, and tried to "snipe" someone with a guard while they were running (away), then you know that unless you're using the brown addon "map of the realm", it is very, very hard to achieve that. Map of the realm increases guards' detection range by 4 meters. It feels very necessary to run it, otherwise you most likely waste your guards a lot of the times.
So, my suggestion is: not necessarily to make the full +4 meters of detection range basekit, but maybe add +2 meters to the basekit, and make the Map of the Realm addon add additional +2 meters (opposed to +4). This would allow Knight players to actually use other addons in the 2 addons slots, not just running the obligatory Map of the Realm constantly in 1 of the slots, just to have a decent chance of catching survivors with guards.

I can't even remember last time a knight player that would forgo this addon...

The full 4 needs to be base kit, not just 2m.

I mean, I would love that, but just at the off chance that the devs deem it as too much, even 2 would be something. I hope we get something 😊

I think Knight needs a lot of changes honestly. I'd be fine with full Map of the Realm basekit and even Call to Arms basekit (and change the addons into something else) but something needs to be done about the instant-drop a guard at loops playstyle first. It’s boring, has no skill expression for either side, and is too effective for how easy it is. Once that’s been addressed, he should get several other improvements to his kit to make up for it.
But I absolutely agree that Map of the Realm should be made basekit as part of that, and it should be the full 4 meters, not just 2.

Yeah, you mention some good points. Dropping a guard instantly should change. Sniping by listening to sounds or using aura readings is what I find exciting and cool. 😄
