I'm starting to think about it a little more now.
A new killer comes out with a nice/powerful chase power. some people get mad. An example being Wesker's unkillswitch.
A new killer comes out with a 3 gen. the majority gets mad. nobody wants to play an hour game, yet everyone wants to win.
A killer comes out with a boring/bad (unoptimized, etc.) power. some people get mad. people want to spend their money on a killer that is fun to play with and gets then worth at most to all MMR levels.

The problem with Wesker isn't his power. It's the fact that the majority of the games as surv are against Weskers.
A killer could have the most balanced power and people would still complain if they are versing them 24/7, as it would get boring or even frustrating to play against the same killer over and over.

Above explained it perfectly, Wesker is fine it's just he's way too overplayed meaning his play style, voice lines, counter etc get so boring and irritating after the third/ fourth round in an hour of Wesker. When he was kill switched the variety was SO much better I'm going to miss it and I'm sure a lot of others will too...

So... the common denominator is some people getting mad? Can't say I'm surprised.

True but really this just proves that Wesker's design is great. He is so fun to play that many people pick him but not overpowered like Nurse or Blight. We need more killers like Wesker. Killers one would actually want to play (unlike the last 2) and that don't feel awfully weak (*Singularity*).
That would also lead more variety when it comes to which killer you face.

Oh that I agree with, totally!
If more killers like Wesker existed, then the problem of him becoming boring to play against would vanish, as there would be a variety of killers being played against.

Buffing old Killers doesn’t have much profit return so their changes get shelved.

I want to face Wesker more. More than half of the killer roster is not fun to go against.

You would rather face skull merchants, knights, legions, camping bubbas, sweaty blights than wesker?

Wesker is much more fun to play against than Trapper or any other M1 killer. At least he can make mistakes and it's not so clear cut as an M1 killer Bloodlusting you to death (except those Wesker who play him more akin to M1, I hate you guys)

As a break from constantly facing the same killer? Sure.
They are irritating to play against, but still better imo than facing the literal same killer over and over.
