Its insane it doesnt Matter how fast ur chases when Survivors doing Gens u are going to lose whit just 1k because the Gens are way to fast

i hv so many Game where i end a chase in like 20s and still just get 1k at the end because the Gen speed is to fast if u are not Blight or Nurse ( and maybe Spirit or Wesker ) u cant hold the Gens because of the awful Map Design

Map Design is the biggest Problem of the Game but since it is impossible to Balance all Maps they need to do something about Gens

How to fix Gen Speed

- Nerf Toolboxes Gen Progression

- Nerf Prove Thyself

- maybe make a weaker Version of Corrupted Basekit

- Buff Base Gen Regression

- nerf MFT ( it doesnt do something about Gen Speed but it extend a Chase way to long u can hold a M1 Killer 4 ever on a Strong loop )

Plz BHVR do something against Gen Speed

U nerfed the best Gen Regression Perk because the Gen kicking Meta was unfun but didnt nerf the Gen Speed, the Healing nerf was a good Idea because it would have give Killer way much more time but sadly the nerf got reverted and Killers didnt got anything

im watching a German Streamer who plays in a 4 SwF Group and they alway escabe where the Killers just have like 4 Hooks or just 1k is this how the Game should be in High Rank ?

I think the BNP should be toned down a little bit and that's it. You just need to find the correct perk loadout for a killer really and you should be good to go. It's a shame gen regression perks NEED to be run but it is what it is at the end of the day. Hopefully the shrine delivers some good ones.

Whenever they nerf tunnelling, Blight and reworking Nurse. Then you can expect something for genrush as well.

They already have. Multiple times. This is the point where you and your skill level come into play.

u forget that Toolboxes and Gen Progression exist ? no Survivor who is know what he is doing sit alone on a Gen whitout a Toolbox or some Perks make Gens faster. also most time i hv Matches whit like 2 Prove Thyself and the Peek alone increase the Gen Speed alot when Survivor sitting together on 1 Gen

When all Survivors needa 90s for a Gen it would be way to easy for the Killer the Problem is that all best Gen Regression Perks got nerfed and Survivor still has very strong Toolboxes and Perks that makes Gens much faster the Event toolbox alone already give u 50% more Gen Speed whitout Addons

jup no arguments but instant call me Bad

do u know how im playing ? nope so dont call me Bad if u didnt know how i Play

Alot Pro Gamers who plays both sides says that Gen Speed is way to fast but nah most likely Skill issue

Survivors already got all best Gen Regression Perks nerfed and Killers didnt got nothing for it

And no dont Talk about the Healing nerf the Nerf is Non existend Survivors still get healed in like 4 seconds when get healed by other Survivors and a good Group always heals together

Toolboxes work for a % of a single gen, recharge perk takes 12 s in a locker and prove thyself isn't that good because it's more efficient to do gens separately and solo gen perks only shave off like 8s or so of a gen like resilience does.

The problem isn't gen speed, it's the fact that gens are the only thing survivors have to do, so in conclusion we're left with a game where survivors hold m1 and get bored while from the killer pov gens fly because no1 is doing anything else other than gens.

No, they wont. I literally dont think they play their own game so they dont experience what we do.

Thats the problem with MMR. Doesnt matter how good we get, were always going to vs better survivors.

Except DH and CoH, two of the most widely used survivor perks, got deleted out of the Meta.

These were perks killers were seeing multiple of every game, to claim that they didn't affect most killer games is false.

Altruistic healing was never an issue and the reason why it barely got touched, self-healing was always the problem and self-healing is objectively much worse than it was before the nerfs.

You watch too many streams if you think most survivors are being super efficient with gens and healing. Its not reflective at all of the current reality of 70+% of games.

tunneling sadly cant be nerfed whitout ruining the Game but the reason so many Killers are tunneling because they cant hold the Gen Speed and talking some1 out early in the Game is the best thing u can do against it ( i rarely Tunnel because it isnt fun im only tunneling when there are just 2 Gens are left and now is Dead on Hook )

Blight just need his OP Addons nerfed and the Hug Tech fixed he is fine whitout it

Nurse need to be reworked yes

If anything they should make base gen kick actually worth doing and deal with gen tapping. Maybe have base gen kick stop the gen from being able to be progressed with for 15 seconds.

And another objective wouldn't hurt before the exit gates, maybe find a lever and install it

Are you talking about Hens? He's probably like a top 0.01% player along with his team. if he and his team could not win consistently then there would be something extremely wrong with survivor. Also their win streak never reached the win-streak of some Blights and Nurses.

Yup. Seems like you've been on the receiving end of the bad matchmaker.

This is a skill issue, but it isn't your fault. You're getting thrown into matches that you shouldn't be getting into.

I could try to give you some tips or analyze gameplay if you'd like?

Who sits on a gen for 90 seconds, though? It's more like 80-70 seconds with one or two gen perks and less than 60 seconds with a toolbox on top.

  • Yamaoka

They already nerfed gens. They now take 90 seconds at base which is not fun.

Rushing your objective should be nerf across the board on both sides. 3 gens popping in 2 mins can be stressful to say the least. 1 dead at 4 gens while being 3 minutes in is really terrible too.

I disagree, bad survivors group on gens and the good ones are separate on gens not only that but if you've ever used a toolbox you know they're gone in like 10 secs they don't even last anywhere near an entire gen anymore, BNP should be removed but toolboxes themselves are even fine, also your argument about made for this isnt valid because I can run fear monger and force exhaustion where it cant be used so if those survivors are grouped up on gens and you run up on them youve taken made for this away from them so they can't rush gens and get value out of made for this with just one perk and it forces them to stay off gens if they want to have the perk and even leave gens early to try and get it back before you roll in

IMO map design and BNP are the problems for the most part. If some maps were a bit smaller I feel some killers would find adding pressure easier. BNP just needs to be reworked.

Gen speed itself is fine. There are some problems around it though. Map design is the biggest by far. If they shrunk a lot of maps and reduced clutter then even killers without mobility powers would be able to actually spread pressure better. Also if I'm being honest you probably just arent very good at spreading preasure. Work on managing your time better, recognizing strong tiles and keeping track of gens progress. Developing game sense to predict what gens are gonna be done next will help immensely. The game has a lot of balance issues but theres also a ton you can do yourself to improve at this game even with the lower tier killers.

Uhm, me? Multiple times per game? I wish I was having these fabled back to back optimal games you Killers talk about, with Survivors who even half know what they are doing. Most games it feels like I'm solo-ing multiple gens (with no perks or toolbox), have to lead the Killers on 2+ minute chases, get all the hook rescues and people STILL don't touch gens.

Trust, for every 1 Killer out there getting gen rushed there are 10 Survivors having terrible games because their teams suck. It's not just you guys, we get spread thin too. At least Killers get the luxury of the outcome being all on their own shoulders, and not have to worry about getting sandbagged.

Yeah, they say gens are way too fast at the highest level of play of which I can say with confidence only a few of us on the forums have actually played in

I myself have tried getting into comp, and I can assure you that no game in a public match will ever come close to a competitive one. The environment and mindset is completely different.

  • The_Krapper
    The_Krapper Member Posts: 3,259

Absolutely I agree with that, one way to also get in with those comp players is the DBD Ladder, for those of you who know about it and want in should become a friend lol everyone there is legit on both sides of the game no one sided biased players

  • Nazzzak
    Nazzzak Member Posts: 5,627

That's the point though. A dev said you will reach a point where your way of playing will work about half the time. The game is designed to keep giving you more difficult opponents. You will never - or should never - reach a point where you are 100% winning. If you do, then matchmaking is not working.

Generator speed itself is fine, prove thyself and brand new parts should probably be looked at though.

The bigger problem is most maps being massive and having to get the first down as quickly as possible while all the pallets are still up so that survivors are occupied healing and rescuing rather than having 3 work on generators. Killers could really use some base kit slowdown until the first down or something imo.

  • The_Krapper
    The_Krapper Member Posts: 3,259

There are discord servers, there are a few ladders going on right now, also it's where the comp scene goes when they're in between tourneys to train but you have to play both sides because they both determine your rank placement on the ladder and it's more focused around chases in a 1v1 setting so it's good practice because everyone who is there is legit and you have to play both sides each time you compete in a round

Thats the last thing we need is to keep nerfing surv and in return nerf killers even more.

What they neeed to do is buff weaker killers and make decently sized maps and not ones where corners of the map are a mile apart.

  • Mr_Madness

They are only fast if you comit to long chases sadly which happens to me a lot.

Though I would say it is annoying to have gens pop nonstop cause a swf using brand new parts.
