Cake Points Didn't Calculate Correctly

in Bug Reporting

I scored 27,573 in a match where 5 cakes were played and I should have had a 50% incentive bonus as well. So my total should have been at least 151,651 BP. Or even without the incentive it should have been 137,865.However my total ended up being 123,939. Not sure if this is a bug or if there's just some additional math behind the scenes I'm not aware of.

    Something is really weird here. I thought that maybe the event actions are not multiplied.

    I know it's dumb, but that would be what I can think of. Without these you only have about 16500 BP (just add up your points from each category). But if you calculate it then and giving the 11k from event actions only the +50% you end up with 113k. And this is about 10k less. Even with 100% you would end up with 126k BP.

    With trying out a bit, I think they give 103% or something.


    Edit: I think I got it. You need to substract the 11.1k BP you got for event interactions from your total score, leaving 113839 BP wich devided by your actual score of 16473 gives you a multiplicator of 6.85 which equals 5 cakes and 50% MM bonus.

    I notice this happens to me a lot as well. My partner has a few degrees and he's a mathematician as well, so I ask him right away if it adds up be wit seems off. I'm interested to see if they find anyhting here and are able to remedy it. :)

    5 cakes = 535% bonus BP

    5.35 * 51.150 = 273.652, not 240.807

    Maybe I'm missing something or...?

    Same thing happening to me when 5 cakes are brought, however when any less than 5 are brought it seems to work for me. Not to be overly critical but it is kinda sad that even a simple multiplier doesnt work in this game

    It's like @LapisInfernalis said. Based on the first screenshots by @Digfish it looks like the bonuses from the cakes and role incentive only apply to base bloodpoints earned in the 4 categories and not any additional BP from other things (anniversary events, glyphs, etc.)

    Here's the breakdown:

    6,049+7,200+500+2,724=16,473 (bloodpoints from the 4 base categories)

    16,473 * 6.85 = 112,840 (6.85 multiplier: 1+1.07+1.07+1.07+1.07+1.07+0.50)

    27,573 - 16,473 = 11,100 (additional BP earned over the 4 base categories)

    112,840 + 11,100 = 123,940
