What do you think about Survivors who just hide for X minutes and do nothing?
When the last two Survivors or in general, Survivors who just hide across the map, doing nothing and waiting for their teammates to die or holding the game hostage when you can't find the final Survivor(s). What do you think about these situations? Is is holding hostage situation?
IMO there should be some mechanic like if you don't do any progress action (healing, repairing, sabotage, cleansing, etc.) for like 2-3 minutes maybe crows should start flying above you and if you still don't do anything it maybe should give notifications to Killer, etc.

Extremely boring if I can tell my teammate is doing this I’ll just feed myself to the killer

I feel like when 2 survivors are left the game should periodically reveal survivors but also give survivors the ability to pick themself up

When it's the two last survivors, and there's a couple gens left, the game is already lost and it's gonna be a hatch game. It's pointless to continue working on gens, unless for bloodpoints. If I see that my teammate is just gonna stealth, honestly, I can't blame them.
At this point we generally can see each other through Aftercare. I'll find the killer and get myself chased as far away from the teammate as I can and give them a chance at hatch.
If the killer slugs for the 4K, then by all means, I want that teammate to be the stealthiest mf there is and just wait it out. I'd rather they have a chance than give the greedy greeder an easy 4K. If the killer is ready to make me wait powerless for 4min then they can wait too.

The same as i think of survs standing at the gate with nothing to do. *expletive*

Doing gens gets "too hard" and "futile" so these vultures just give up playing the game and wait for the pity hatch thats still giving same bp as door+escape....
Hatch enabling douche behavior as intended lol.

The survivors who hide since they spawn are something that i truly dislike, those who are doing hatch challenges and do not help anyone.
Said that, the "2 survivors, +2 gens" situation is totally different. You cant realistically repair your way out so your only option is to hide if you want to have a slight chance of survival.

It's just bad design honestly. Nothing for survivors to do in that situation unless one wants to intentionally lose at that point. What's the incentive for them to work on an objective in an unwinnable game?

But what for?
I very vividly remember a match when I was trying to get my Adept Ghostface. I had two people left and I believe two gens left as well. I couldn't find anyone for about five minutes and thought this wasn't worth it. I did check everywhere including basement. I didn't want to DC so I left to make a ready made pizza. These take about 12-13 minutes to cook. When I came back, nothing had happened. I went back to searching the map, steering with one hand, eating with the other. I eventually found someone in the basement locker. From the corner of my eye I see the other survivor exiting from a basement locker. They ended up finding hatch before I did.
They never had crows so I imagine they slowly moved across the map until they both ended up in the basement where they went locker hopping. I do wonder about this though, I can't imagine something more boring than doing this for 15+ minutes to get a hatch escape.
When this happens to me as survivor I willingly give myself to the killer. I'll sit on a gen just in case - until I'm found and then try to get one last good chase. I actually have limited gaming time and can't be bothered to waste it hiding.

im sure its the same feeling i get, when a killer decides to slug the 3rd survivor to spend the entire rest of the match looking for the 4th because they are so deadset that a 4k is a must, and dont want to allow the ingame mechanic to go through.

Many survivors would do what they can to survive, just like most killer will slug the 3rd survivor to deny hatch for 4 minutes.
I do not like this situation, nor hiding for an excessive amount of time but unless you are willing to give yourself up to the killer and die your only remaining choice is to hide and wait for hatch. The game is unwinnable by that point.

We get it, but hate it and it's an annoying grey area. While not progressing the game is reportable, survivors aren't required to be stupid either and we're left checking every locker on the map.

I just hope non of these player types EVER complain about slugging for the 4k, wasting way more than those 4 minutes every goddamn time.
Even in games without any camping, tunneling or slugging.

While I don't like or agree with the 'excessive hiding' play style, there are limited options that BHVR could implement to target it that wouldn't be insanely abusable.
Most people argue for notifying the killer with auras or crows in this situation, but the amount of time you would have to wait before triggering this would be so long as to be ridiculous.
A few minutes is completely insufficient for genuine gameplay. In an incredibly common 'slug for the 4k' scenario, the last survivor has no choice but to hide for hatch/door for at least 4 minutes while the 3rd bleeds out. That goes up to about 6-7 minutes once you start adding in searching for hatch and the EGC if the killer closes the hatch. That's legitimate gameplay in an extremely common scenario that there is absolutely no reason for the survivor to throw the game and volunteer to die by touching a gen because of this rare issue.

Depending on how many Gens are left I'd do some if only to encourage the others survivor to help so the doors well open and force the killer to make a choice.

This happened to me on dead dawg. My pc was so loud I could barely hear footsteps. 2 dead and 2 left at 3 gens I spent 10 minutes looking for them. I eventually went afk bc I was bored. 5 minutes later still no progress on gens. One of the dead survivors messaged me on steam and told me where they were. I ended up bleeding them out when I found them. stealth is fine , and I can understand in a 2v1 scenario at three gens it’s basically impossible to win, but when the game is at a standstill for 30 mins U gotta think.. is it really worth the win

I had a group of 2 holding me in a game for more than 10 minutes after I killed the others. That was... less than fun. Eventually I found them in the basement. I also remember another match when I got a lot of hooks early on and all of them completely refused to progress the game and instead just hid for half an hour. I only found 2 of them by that point and just gave up because I had enough.
This is literally taking the game hostage. I'd really like them to add some kind of feature to fight this.

2 things: afk crows if no meaningful gen progress is done and removal of hatch

I just work on a gen. It's better than hiding all game waiting for the other to die. I prefer to do a gen and if I get caught I got caught. I especially hate it when it's only like one gen left and they just want to hide. They just doomed both of us lol.

Well, if you happen to end in this state because the killer was tunneling out the first guy, i am totaly fine with it. He wanted to play the match in a boring way, he can have it in a boring way.
Also, killers are incentifying this behaviour. Because i normaly still do gens in the endgame (but often wish i wouldnt, if i see the other guy is just hidding), i am the one that is caught and the other survivor is the one that escapes. (even though some killers tell you they go for the other guy instead, most just take what they got) so the lesson is dont get caught on the gen, because your playing partner (killer) doesnt care anyway.

As surv I hate being in that position. - I usually go find myself a gen and just do it until the killer shows up and grabs me --- or, if it's kinda early on and there's still resources left and stuff I try to get a good chase. However, if I observed the other remaining teamie didn't do anything useful the entire match up until then. - Boy o boy, I'll do everything in my power to prevent them from getting a shot at hatch. It's petty spite, sure, but some things you seriously tick me off.
On the killer side I usually try pretty hard to avoid a situation like that cause I hate that kind of hide and seek level. I do like spies though, so it's usually not that big of a problem; it helps a bunch even with them sneaky Distortion players. Though, I also really don't insist on a 4k - what's the point? - and if a surv offers themselves the other can go find hatch while I break whatever is left on the map.
long story short: there are situations where, if I know the context, I don't think ill of hiding people - even situations where I do it myself. But the vast majority of times I really hate it (especially as killer - but as killer I usually also lack context).

I think it's fine. If killer wanted fast game and tunnel survivors, it's fine for last survivors to hide and play for hatch.

Bad/outdated design that gives two bad options in the face of futility. Bad tome entries that push this further.

Just so I’m clear. Two remaining survivors in this situation shouldn’t be allowed to be stealthy to stay alive as long as possible in a chance to get hatch…
But a killer can can camp, tunnel and slug to ensure kills….
We will just call it a “Final Two Stealth Strategy”. Seems you can call anything a strategy and make it okay to do. 👍🏼
