    Insta-Heals

Insta downs are usually a temporary thing restricted to perks/power (Unless you're running Infinite Tier 3 Myers), while insta heals don't have a time limit and can more greatly impact a match.

Insta heals for sure. Injuries are one of the most impactful things in dbd. They are what let you get downs to begin with. Dead hard already proved that an extra health state makes all the difference, and the ability to just get another (no timing required) is insane. You can easily extend the chase by a significant margin.

Insta downs, while powerful, are weaker than insta heals. If you are chasing an exposed survivor, you still need to m1 them. simple W gaming and good looping can keep it from getting value. Exposure is typically on a timer or very limited in its usage; while a heal doesnt just go away after some time. You dont really need to do much for an insta heal, simply throwing a bunch of pallets while the syringe ticks down can do the trick against most killers. And once its done the chase is extended by a LOT. Adrenalines a perfect example; even without the SB it would be a good perk. If you are exposed, the killer still needs to hit you. Something completely preventable. While a syringe can be prevented, its easier to outlast exposure/the syringe timer than it is to get a down within that time frame.

It depends on so many things I'm not sure it's comparable tbh. If an insta-down is part of a killer's basekit it's surely less impactful than an insta-heal, but if the insta-down comes from a perk or add-on it's more complicated. Considering an insta-heal is "just" a health state while an insta-down basically guarantees a hook state I'd say insta-downs are more impactful, but even then it's a stretch, I just don't think they're equivalent.

    Insta-Downs

Instadowns are much more common than instaheals, if instaheals even exist in the first place beyond Adrenaline. So I'd say they're more impactful by sheer numbers.

Things that instantly grant a health state, like Adrenaline or For The People.

Insta downs at a good time can completely change the match.
