How long will gens be unavailable with the new killer perk?
They said few seconds lol. How is that good?

It's not a hex perk

And?

Should be around a minute or so based on no information

That would be nice.

Anything less than 1 minute is worthless.

Dark devotion should be longer too. I hope their "few seconds" is not true, in both cases.

Well I just looked back at the Shattered Bloodline spotlight and the showcase of Haunted Grounds worded the effect as lasting "for a short amount of time".
So I'm gonna give the developers the benefit of the doubt and assume that them saying a "few seconds" will be similarly scaled to "short amount of time". Perhaps not as much as we'd like, but close to the Haunted Grounds time?

I'm expecting 30-45 seconds. It should 60-90 at least though. The fact that the killer is down a perk for the rest of the match is extremely disappointing as well. It should be:
Whenever a gen is completed this perk becomes active, while this perk is active the three generators furthest away from you are blocked by the Entity for 5/10/15 seconds. Locations of Survivors working on the furthest generators when this perk becomes active are revealed to you.

What if the perk was a Hex? Potentially, you could protect it and only have 4 generators for the entire trial to patrol. Additionally, if the survivors don't destroy the Hex, the 5th generator will be impossible to repair because it's blocked.
I know you killers aren't a fan of Hexes but wouldn't it be better than a few 30 seconds?

I'll gladly take a guaranteed amount of time over a Hex that MIGHT not get cleansed at all or cleansed immediately.

This seems like the most likely answer. When they're talking about the Plague's Incense Burner, we see the timer on the Tier 3 version of the perk running, and it fills up about a quarter of the way in about 15ish seconds, so 60 seconds seems like a safe bet for Tier 3.

Killer mains: 20 minutes
Survivor mains: 1.5 no 1.4 seconds.

I just want something reasonable and I play both roles. Few seconds would be a joke.

It would be decent if it were 45secs..... but yes it should be 60secs since gens are 80

"Additionally, if the survivors don't destroy the Hex, the 5th generator will be impossible to repair because it's blocked."
I could already see a killer standing over the hex totem for few hours (or until the survivors disconnect).

Raise this boi so the devs can see

The hex could turn into a dull totem when a generator hasn't been completed within X amount of seconds.

We're going to have to wait until the PTB arrives, which should be soon. Given the fact that McLean keeps saying, "a short amount of time", it should be around 30/45/60 seconds since the something similar was said for Haunted Grounds. These numbers are not it, it's just speculation. But if these were the numbers based on tiers, they would definitely be changed due to PTB feedback. The longest, I think is up to a minute, because it doesn't take a whole lot of time going from one side of the map to the other (assuming you went in a straight line with nothing blocking your path).

you know this perk would just prevent a bad play style. heading to the first gen closest to u normally results in 3 genning yourself. and then u gotta ask yourself this, do you ignore those blocked gens or look near them? survivors could sit near and just wait it out if u choose to patrol the 4 gens you're given meaning neither side achieves anything, at the cost of YOUR perk slot, not theirs. not to mention it takes 15 seconds to find a different gen

It would be nice if the way you can get back those gens is if you complete 1 gen instead of waiting a time period but I guess people would complain otherwise

Anyways just 4 perk slots there is no room for new perks

After thinking qbout it for some time, that "dont rush gens" perk seems like BBQ in a sense.
It can be interpreted as a bandaid to fix survivor problems: "If you dont like NOED or Ruin, now you have the time to hunt those totems, you cant do gens anyway".... Well, logically you wouldnt stack this perk with ruin because it gives them time to cleanse ruin.
Not sure about the rest tho.
