All my lobbies as killer are like this :)
Now tell me how i'm supposed to do anything ? I would like an answer from the lead game designer, that he explains me how i'm supposed to have fun in those games ?
Of course it was an SWF, 4 gens done in less than 5 minutes.
Pretty much sure ppl will say skill issue :)

How do you know it's a SWF?
Judging off of points, the game wasn't a complete wash. Likewise, considering you are playing off-meta, to say the least, and that your opponents are playing meta for the most part, seems like you did quite well. Keep it up and try to learn from every match, you did well on this one.
Eventually, you'll be able to beat these guys.

They were all friends on steam...
Man you have such questions, it is funny.
When all my trials are like this, it is kind of boring actually.
19 -
Well, that's why I asked. I don't play on PC, so I'm afraid I simply don't know.
Well, like I said earlier, good job. Seems like you did well.
16 -
It's kinda hard to judge anything based off this unless your trying to point out the 2 prestige 100s. If it's the BNPs your complaining about, those are about to be nerfed so... the devs are infact doing something. Their builds though look pretty normal.
You say they're a SWF, but they still used aura reading perks for teamwork. 2 bonds+alert could explain alot of good teamplay they did since they'd be able to tell where the action is going down. Feel like this truly just might be a case of "git gud".
Take it as a learning opportunity and maybe tweek your build accordingly. If you had recorded your match, I could've pointed out errors. Alot of ppl insist their own gameplay is perfect when there is infact room for improvement (often times alot of room). The sooner you learn that, the better.
And btw... STBFL is awesome on Demo...
11 -
Yes it's pretty much every game I play nowadays every single lobby has two or more tool boxes usually three to four and all people do is Rush generators and it's just so boring
7 -
Exactly, it is impossible to keep up with all those busted things survivors have. If they know how to loop (no god loopers but jsut good at it), you are screwed and cannot do anything at all.
8 -
It's really good they are nerfing the BNP and Prove Thyself (should've kept the BP bonus however). It's kind of crazy that they weren't even using Prove Thyself and still managed four in under five minutes.
It's a shame your Plaything was entirely countered (I assume) just because they were a SWF, I'm sure they communicated where you were at all the time so that no one had to cleanse for you to be able to use Pentimento. Lithe must've definitely been very annoying to experience multiple times...
I would've just tunneled one of them out early for gen pressure. If the SWF was over-altruistic you could've turned the tide of the game around very easily. Sometimes it's best to lobby dodge now that we still have the chance to see prestige levels and we all know MMR is terrible. The fact they both had toolboxes should've raised an alarm though.

Yes, they did not do a single totem till the doors were at 99.
They knew i had Petimento i guess.
The best was their trashtalk at the end, thinking they were so amazing to exploit the game's flaws.
For the devs to leave all those busted stuffs for so long in the game, they clearly do not understand anything about how their own game works.
If i dodge that kind of lobbies, i end up dodging 80% of them :<
4 -
Im sorry but I simply don’t believe even 5% of your lobbies are anything like this. This was obviously rare enough for you to screenshot and post about it.
16 -
You played an off meta build and weaker killer against a premade that was playing efficiently and somehow that proves a point?
Does it also count if I post the screenshots of my chest build teammates getting smashed by a P100 blight with alch ring and crow?
6 -
That's because they look at overall statistics, including how beginner survivors do which messes everything up. It's such a stupid way at looking at balancing stuff. They need to watch content creators or top 1% survivors/killers more often instead of prioritizing beginner statistics for whatever reason. It took them SO long to nerf Spirit add-ons when any top 1% Spirit main had like a 100% chance to win games but beginners made it seem like the add-ons were balanced.
The trash talking must've been infuriating as you seemingly played as fair as possible judging by the points...
2 -
Those sorts of Games are not fun, I have been there in the event too, loads of juiced up matches too.
There seems to have been a reduction in Killers because normally there is never 100% bps for Killers in the evening for me and it seems these lobbies are being dodged by Killers in their MMR range, which forces the range to open up to quickly start the trial. During this entire event I have had matches against these juiced up Survivors who play way better than what anyone would consider a fair match.
I fear the system is broken right now, you can fix it by dodging until you get normal looking Survivors and it works, its much more fun with an even match.
Points does not mean the player had Fun, Pulsar. Games are supposed to be fun & hyper fixating on increasing their skill is just an excuse for poor matching and game design. Its just whiteknighting on skill without relevant data to back up the point.
Pretty much sure ppl will say skill issue :)
They always say its a skill issue without relevant proof to back up their claim, its an excuse cause they believe skill can transcend everything and right now its just used to defend the game from critique and used to dismiss people who ask for the game to be better.
5 -
It’s pretty obvious to me why this is though. Tunneling and camping are currently meta and if you’re not at 2 gens by the time the first person dies you lose 99% of the time.
also I get you’re probably more so complaining about tool boxes but in regards to “rushing gens, what else are survivors supposed to do when not being chased? What other objective is there?
2 -
If they are a SWF why do they need Bond and Alert? Two people ran those perks. A SWF could just call out to one another where the killer is. I suppose it makes more sense if they weren’t on comms, but at that point they’re no different than any efficient team of players.
7 -
First of all, how do you know they are SWF? I see two Bonds, which will most likely mean that they were at least not a 4 man-SWF.
Second, they were pretty off-meta in their Builds.
Third, I HIGHLY doubt that all of your games are like this. Posting a screenshot once and claiming that all look like this does not prove anything.
And last but not least...Not even a Terrormisu or BPS or anything. Tsss.
14 -
Sometimes people simply have enough at one point and post about it. Believe it or not but people can be patient and not post anything about their struggles until they get annoyed enough! 😱
7 -
First of all,
Second, since when was Lithe and Windows of Opportunity not meta?
Third, you do realize that people can go past their limit of miserable games and then post about it, right...?
And last but not least make sure to read replies in a thread so I don't have to answer questions like the first one.
3 -
Fun is subjective.
I don't have fun stomping people, some other players do.
I merely pointed out how they did quite well under the circumstances and that, should they decide to, they could continue to improve and beat these sorts of teams.
6 -
Believe or not, most of my lobbies are like this with my top killers : Wesker, Demo, Pinhead, PH.
3 -
Yes Sir! But nope, will not do that. OP is one of those "It is everyones fault except for mine when I lose"-players. So I dont really bother reading more than the OP since the rest is most likely also just blabbering to defend why they were not the reason why they lost.
And nah, the Builds look more off-meta than Meta tbh. Especially IF they use Perks like Bond and Alert while still being in an SWF.
OR they were most likely not on Comms. But since the majority here says that Comms are the main issue, it should be irrelevant if they are SWF but not on Comms, eh?
8 -
I dunno but they were all friends on steam, one of them had his friendlist public.
1 -
They might not have been on Comms. But since most people think that Comms are the reason SWF is strong, it should not matter that they were SWF when not on Comms, eh?
6 -
Fun being subjective does not make bad matchmaking good and skill wont fix bad matchmaking either.
As I pointed out there are a huge amount of lobbies floating in the matchmaking, increasing in range to fill them up and its not providing a good general gameplay experience. This is the message that needs to get to bHVR so they can make changes.
2 -
A hint for you: run Plaything Pentimento with Devour Hope, maybe with Undying too. That way at least two Pentimento totems are guaranteed.
1 -
People complain about matchmaking all the time but when queues were 10 minutes everyone was telling the devs they’d rather have unfair matches with 2 minute queues than fair ones with 10.
If they change this the complaints wouldn’t stop, they’d just switch topics.
3 -
Yes and right now Queues are less than 10 seconds so bHVR can roll it back no issue.
Ill be more than happy to wait 1min than 10min.
1 -
I have the same situacion for weeks, unwinable.
1 -
This doesn't show much besides the end-result and what items/perks they brought. There is no context to the match. I never understand people who make these threads because a scoreboard does not tell the full picture. I don't see what the survivors did vs what you did, your decisions, your pathing, etc. This is very barebones.
Very well could have been your fault but with no video, who knows.
5 -
There’d be no difference. The reason matchmaking sucks is because of their criteria they use. Escapes and kills do not equate to skill in the slightest. You’d still get killers who are at the skill cap that don’t belong because of how easy it is to secure kills by camping and tunneling, and you’d still get good survivors who are below the skill cap because they don’t play to escape.
This isn’t a queue time issue, this is a fundamental mechanic problem. Longer queues would do nothing but anger more people.
1 -
Most games are like cutscenes they are that short lmao. I usually go against one good survivor and their teammates usually make it an easy win for me. Sometimes I feel so bad that I give the best survivor hatch, that's if they didn't DC from seeing their teammates blow up a gen.
Worst part is when the difficulty goes up to max randomly and I have to deal with a unwinnable SWF situation but even then the games go by fast.
2 -
No disrrespect to them, but the floor got mopped with them, everyone escaped and got substantially more bp than them, saying they did good is just plain lying.
3 -
How do you know this would be the case?
My experience of the game totally different until I started dodging lobbys.
1 -
They could've easily tunneled one person out of the game but chose not to. When killers play fairly they get insulted like that but when they tunnel they get insulted way more. They did really good given the circumstances and especially due to the fact they were playing a weaker killer. You're the one lying here. Kills don't equal skill.
3 -
Yeah I meant that's what happens when you lobby dodge properly like I do. 😭 I had absolute nightmare games before I started dodging.
3 -
Because unless they change the way their MMR system works this is exactly how it would play out. The soft cap for MMR is way too low and you can face players with less than 500 hours who are already at the highest MMR bracket. Expanding queue times would not make games better, they’d be the exact same but with just longer waits.
Throw in with how many killers dodge lobbies and matchmaking will never work properly. You can’t dodge lobbies you don’t want to play then complain matchmaking is poor. You’re part of the problem if so.
2 -
I don't believe all your games are like this. You've already stated in previous threads that it's also no fun playing what you call potatoes. You might get a few games in a row where you play good SWF or high prestige survivors, but it's certainly not every game considering MMR is a myth & you can be pretty much placed against anyone these days.
3 -
Bad matchmaking directly correlates to lobby dodging. You can’t complain about poor matchmaking if you consistently dodge lobbies you don’t want to play. Matchmaking expands when you do this and you’re more than likely just giving a worse player an even worse time than you think you would have had.
3 -
So far I have the freedom and the right to ensure my games are good, if bHVR cant make the SBMM system work reliably then I got no other choice. There is nothing wrong with this morally or legally as far as I am aware.
In fact the reason I would be lobby dodging is precisely because the lobbys I got were bad, I deserve a good time now.
3 -
Why would this ever be a problem legally?? 🤣
You’re free to do whatever you want man but don’t complain when you play filler for a lobby like OP played in.
And you do have a choice as well, you can play against these teams, learn from your mistakes and get better as a result or you can keep looking for easy games you can stomp.
2 -
IT could be a legal problem, Because bHVR could make it a ban-able offense to dodge a lobby.
I still have the right to complain about the current system and I hope bHVR will listen that their SBMM system does not deliver quality matches atm- Nothing you have said prevents that right. Dont see why you wish for me not to have that.
If the choice is being a punching bag for juiced up Survivors or stomping some beginners, after 10 matches of being a punching bag I deserve to punch some myself. It is justice.
2 -
I completely believe it. These lobbies are what made me give up several killers I used to enjoy playing because there was just no point anymore trying to match these teams with the likes of wraith and pig.
I see as well people are telling you “if the survivors play to win you have to match them”. Firstly this is impossible to prepare for. Secondly this basically means you have to camp and tunnel- the tactics everyone hates and constantly complain about. You got plenty of points which pretty much proves that you played as well as you could without resorting to the “easy” tactics.
3 -
Playing Demogorgon and coming out of that match with 26k BP is kind of impressive tbh. So, I'd say you did pretty good regardless.
Still, survivors have ways to tip the scales so much that the killer basically loses before the game even starts (and vice versa, if you look at Blight and Nurse). That is definitely not fun to play against. I've had the same experience over the past couple days, which is kind of inexplicable to me since I let most survivors leave to get their crowns (more than 90% of my games) during the event but I'll just have to deal with it.
I guess it's the season of super competitive DBD again. Hopefully it won't last for too long.
4 -
Ah yes when I see a 100 hour survivor on my team I shouldn't dodge so I don't ruin your experience. Or when I play a killer I shouldn't dodge a full toolbox prestige 100 team. I'll be selfish since the original matchmaking is terrible and doesn't work.
3 -
I used to save my BNP’s but I’ve been using them every match now. Best to use them pre-nerf, right? Maybe that’s why you’re seeing so many.
0 -
Exactly. You shouldn’t dodge lobbies at all. Just play the game and do your best. Have a great day!
1 -
Tell me, if a group of Solo Survs come across a Blight with a meta build, whats the most likely outcome?
4 -
We can never tell anything from a screenshot. People can give pointers or answers if there is a video of the game in question
4 -
I believe you I get P100 squads almost everytime I play wraith, oni, bubba or wesker. Just recently I have gotten them bit less but only after losing games.
0 -
Killers aren't supposed to have fun.
0 -
I have the same experience almost always, especially at night. That's why I stopped playing for result and trying to have at least some chances with hard tunneling and camping. Only the chase, no matter what the result. U guys want to play m1 simulator? Ok, it's your choice, gl next.
Joke is, survivors are crying rivers there because no one play "fair" aka killershouldplaythewayiwant, but every time i play "fair" and loosing match bc of it, i only see astronomic amount of toxicity and bm.
I play a lot for survivors for the same reason now, so I understand perfectly well that in any case it's an ez game every time when everyone in the team is good at chase and knows where the m1 button on the mouse is.
