Made for This is a serious problem.
Im beyond tired of this stupid perk making loops way stronger, making chases too long, making sure hits into misses.
Im done, this perk should not exist, giving survivors a free permanent speed boost was the worst idea the devs had in recent DBD.
And i dont even wanna hear how "3% isnt much", NO, it is, survivors have a smaller hitbox, allowing them to run loops tighter than any killer can, add this nonsense of a perk and you make this way stronger, combine with Resilience and its even dumber, specially for 1M killers and basically unbearable for 110% ones, and we can also add Hope or the Teamwork perks.
And this is without mentioning the secondary function, giving you endurance after healing someone, cause one of the most busted Perks wasnt enough already, lets give it another strong perk.
And im seeing at least 2 survivors using it nearly each game, that alone goes to show how stupidly strong this perk really is.

Well what I heard is that they’re monitoring the perk and the next patch is needing PTS so I don’t expect MFT being nerfed anytime soon

will be as always, tanata has ceased to be garbage - nerf in two weeks
mft perk level S+ which by its mere presence will increase the shift w chase time by 20% (and if you are in loops, then many times more) + combines with dead hard and does not receive any nerfs

Another game where it took me forever to catch people cause of this stupidity...
Im seriously close to quitting killer until this dumb speed build gets nuked.
3 -
I had to play Deathslinger for daily today...
4x MFT on Wreckers' Yard (map offering). It's simply hell to deal with rock loops as 110% against MFT.
I can easily tell who has it, so it's not really an issue when 1 or 2 survivors use that perk. I will just refuse to chase them and tunnel survivors who don't have it, but the hell am I supposed to do when everyone has it...
6 -
Puffalope made 2 videos on MFT and I can assure you you’re just bad as killer
2 -
Who and why should i care?
Ive dealt with this perk plenty enough to see how much of a problem it is.
3 -
Don't worry, they're monitoring the perk. In the next mid-chapter, they'll reduce the Endurance, then they'll reduce it further, and THEN after a year they'll finally look at the permanent 3% haste the killer gives dealing damage. Just like CoH.
0 -
They literally said that they don't have any plans to change it currently so idk what ur on about
0 -
Well, they didn't want to change CoH neither even tho it was clearly broken.
I treat this as old Object of Obsession, if I see survivors using MFTs, I go full tryhard.
Btw in past they didn't want to change Object of Obsession neither, because survivors didn't have high escape rate with it, not surprised when all of them got tunneled...
I have feeling they monitor perk and escape rate per single survivor, not a team.

Nice bait, better luck next time
1 -
Just remember, if it doesn't get nerfed, it's because it doesn't actually inflate survival rates, which means it's not actually a problem.
Hope you accept the objective truth whatever it turns out to be.
1 -
Really? That's how it works?
Object of Obsession had low escape rates...
Same for CoH.
It's an issue if you look at perk -> escape rate per survivor, not a team.
I thought people learned statistics are tool for balancing, but not main factor... Why we know it doesn't work? Nurse has lowest kill rate and Pig one of highest kill rates. It makes sense why it is this way, it doesn't mean Nurse need buff and Pig nerf (another man, they failed at this).

I don't have any issues with MFT, as survivor or killer (I play M1 killers, mostly Ghostface and Pig). Is moving faster than normal a benefit to survivors? Of course, but it's nowhere near as strong as actual exhaustion perks. And I expect that'll be validate by the fact it doesn't get any significant nerfs.
At most, I can see it being dropped to 2% somehow. Purely because it seems odd that Dark Theory, a more restricted haste effect, has a lower value. So from a theory crafting perspective I think they should swap values. But it's not the end of the world if they don't.
I'd much rather killers get another speed increasing perk than get rid of MFT.
1 -
I wouldn't want to see any movement speed perks, you are simply asking for infinites.
Any perk that give permanent movement speed should be highly limited.
I don't care about classic exhaustion perks. Those are limited and I can easily drop a chase for them to lose any value. You can't do that against MFT.
0 -
You can always drop chase, go for someone else, and then catch the MFT player off guard and out positioned later. If you don't want to use bloodlust that is. Even tier 1 bloodlust completely negates MFT, that's after 15 seconds.
But yes I'd love more killer speed perks. I need more options for my GoKart Ghostface please.
1 -
That would work only on some deadzone gens, or indoor maps. This simply doesn't work if there is any loop nearby.
Best option how to counter MFT is to ignore that survivor and tunnel weak link. MFT is not that big issue with 3 survivors.
If all survivors have MFT, then you better use good killer...

Like I said, I haven't noticed an issue, with Ghostface or Pig. But then stealth killers are good at out positioning survivors. One of the problems is people think "good killers" only includes Nurse and Blight".
What about Hag? What about her new Waterlogged Shoe? It gives her permanent 118% movement speed, that's essentially killer MFT, but without the need to get injured first. What's your opinion on that?
1 -
Hag? Her shoes addon is meme in my opinion. It makes her a Clown basically.
Noone plays her anyway.
Killers who mainly suffer on MFT: Doctor, Legion, Deathslinger.
But to some extent it is good against any M1 killer.
Of course Ghost face don't care about it. He has two ways how to counter it. Exposed and Stealth.
I am not surprised my Oni games are not affected. I don't mind them staying injured and can insta down...
But I used to be Legion main, I can't be bothered playing him while MFT is played this much. I basically replaced Legion with Skully.
0 -
So Hag moving 3% faster than any other killer permanently isn't an issue but survivors is?
Legion's frenzy is 130% movement speed, I don't think 103% makes a difference.
Deathslinger has range. Are you serious? You don't need to catch up, you aim and shoot.
1 -
That was sarcasm...
A few problems.
1. Hag is 2.5% faster with a specific add-on that completely neuters her power.
2. Legion still needs to actually down you out of Frenzy.
3. He's 4.4, meaning he's vulnerable to legitimate infinites. I'm talking actual chase breaking infinites that prevent bloodlust build up and everything. MFT just makes it worse.

Either way, any change to it will probably be a very good while from now

It doesnt' matter if they're "Monitoring" it, it never should have made it out of PTB. Playing Slinger against this perk is near impossible, so many loops were already painful but now with the meta combo with Resil, Hope, and Adren, you had better tunnel someone out within 2 minutes because if they get to end game they're actually faster than you are. It's insane how busted a handful of Survivor perks are, and MFT is easily the worst example of Survivor bias in perk design.
2 -
Sadly, MFT is way more oppressive than CoH, because you see it's effect in individual chases.
CoH issue was more complex than that.
So it will probably be faster, I give them a year.

We will just have to wait and see
