How would you win against teams like these?
3 BNP
Squad of Jakes
Squad of Claudettes
Squad of Megs
Comments
-
play like i normally do
18 -
the ultimate anti tunnel
2 -
Just play normal
3 -
Tunnel and then say it was by accident idk
5 -
just bring your strongest build, play strategically.
Against a decent SWF, 2/1 kill should be normal. although most of the time should be all 4 escape. Unless you playing S tier killer like nurse and blight, there aren't really anything you could do.
BTW, consider yourself lucky, as the team you are against isn't even bringing full meta 2nd chance perk
1 -
I 4K'd most of them with this...
7 -
definitely not me would get like 2 hooks against those types of people
5 -
Match op stuff with op. Play blight/nurse/spirit/oni and punish mistakes heavily
3 -
not play trapper
1 -
3 toolboxes I usually bring stronger stuff and play a bit harder if I feel it is BNP's.
Jake lobby I'm 100% dodging as them having a total of 1 prestige level between all 4 would indicate I was backfilled and I'm going to end up wasting my time.
Claud lobby is basically a free win since they are bringing flashlights and look to be swf. No gens will be done and anytime you get 1 down you can expect some free hits with the others trying to FL save every single time.
Meg lobby I would just play normal.
1 -
Never seen a stack like these that are good/playing to win. Not too worried, especially about the megs lol.

Meh.
I would take note of it, I'd be a fool not to, but I wouldn't weight it very highly.
A bad squad with stacked perks and items is less intimidating than a good squad with no perks and no items.

GUESS WHAT???
3 BNP completed the first Gen after I setup 2 traps. But its a normal thing for me.
All first 3 were 4K.
Megs I had 6 hooks 1 kill, but it was because Eyrie Trapper.
I never dodge, its fun for me to see a quad of the same survivor.

End game trapper is a coin flip on how well it works but it's satisfying as heck if it works
1 -
Isn't trapper considered the worst killer in the game ever?
0 -
As Trapper you would have to get some really good trap placements in/luck to even have a chance.
2 -
Not sure but I would give it a shot anyways. I like a good challenge. That's why I refuse to play with gen perks.

I'd just play as I usually do but what you can do is...
This is where you can kind of play the player not the game, a bit like poker, you aren't playing the cards you are playing the player.
Teams like this are often highly motivated to get everyone out, so I'd force a chase to the basement and then defend the hook.
One of two things will happen,
- The team smash through the gens and if they make it before the player dies there'll be some play around the basement that could snowball into multiple downs or all escape.
- They hyper focus on the rescue forgetting to repair the gens and you get multiple hooks and downs with 3-4 gens still up. Balancing out the game and making the endgame much more manageable.
You tend to get a bit of salt from this but while I'm loathe to say it... that's kind of the point.
To take a team that's stacked their advantage and force them to tilt and lose sight of the objective. You'd be amazed how quickly all matching teams tend to tilt or at least lose focus on the objective when you do something that they as a player may consider not allowed.

I play 40 Killer/60 Survivor. 35 of 40 are Trapper...so yes I know all the good spots.
I dont trust Corrupted much, usually survivors spawn far away from killers, and so are blocked Gens. If I use the perk, they would run into me and know where I set the traps.
Example vs 4 Claus was in Suffo pit, I spawned at Shack side, they spawned at Pit side. If I use Corrupted, they would run to Shack side to do Gens, which may see I setting traps. Starting a match with 2 Gens left is a normal thing for me, after that, each chase end in 10 seconds.

Play unfair games get unfair prizes. If I see a lobby like that, I'm running a green mori and will use it early if necessary. Will play like normal but won't hesitate to tunnel one out.
As one of the above posters mentioned, they'll either smash a few early gens and put you on the back foot or they'll swarm you for hook saves and blinds, hopefully the latter.

Given their outfits, lack of exhaustion perks, green tier perks, and the fact that someone is running Technician… I believe this is on the lower side of MMR so probably not that hard to beat them.
2 -
I dont know but...How is Nea with green Feng perk is considered lower side or MMR? After 4 years playing, I dont buy Ace, if I unlock his tier1 perks, am I supposed to be low MMR?
Some veterans also like the old outfit.
Im not saying Im on high MMR, but those arent evidences of low MMR. If I said I lose to these team, Im sure people would say "Thats how high MMR for killers right now"

Lmao, they had to be awfull then, imagine terminus actually getting value.
But tbf you present a very good lesson, not every team that poses as a strong rival is one, so people should not dodge those lobbies, rather just play them, I mean if thry died to and endgame trapper I guess even a perkless sadako can dunk on them, but people really asume that those teams are unbeatable just because of their offerings/addos/perks, when they dont actually take into account they are not good enough to make the most of it.
1 -
I would not have said that if you lost. Unless you are playing against a pro team or something like Hens’s group, I think most SWFs are beatable even at high MMR.
Before I go any further in explaining my thoughts, I want to state that I do not mean to imply that you are low MMR or inexperienced, just that I believe these teams are. Matchmaking is bad so anyone could get these teams regardless of MMR.
Yes you are right about the green perks not necessarily being a sign of low MMR, that’s not really a good indicator. The amount of green perks on one person might be, but I’ll admit that it’s not much to go off. The green Hope though is a bit odd considering it is a general perk.
For the first team, the fact that only one person has an exhaustion perk (and she doesn’t seem to be a part of the SWF judging by the lack of BNP), the use of an offering to group together (which should never be used if you want to win as splitting up on gens is more efficient), and the use of Technician (a perk popular among new players but not very useful for more experienced players) tips me off that the first group aren’t very skilful.
As for the other teams, yes veteran players do wear default cosmetics sometimes (I personally use Scruffy Jake), but a full team of full base game outfits isn’t very common outside of newish players.
The Jake team I could maybe see being higher MMR simply because Jake doesn’t have any cosmetics, but the other teams come off as less experienced to me. Especially the Meg team having one person not in bloody cosmetics.
Or maybe I’m just over thinking it all. Either way, I had fun over analysing it haha.

BNP team: I wouldn't know they have BNP until the endgame screen so I'd just play normally and go "ah that explains why gens went fast" at the end.
Full Meg team: In my experience I usually destroy them without even trying, take pity on them and let them go.
Full Claudette team: Can go two ways, either they'll stealth all game and it will be boring no matter what I do, or they'll just be an average team.
Full Jake team: I would be very happy to see fellow Jake mains. I would play normally with some occasional memeing and stop hooking them once everyone has been hooked twice.

You have an end-game build anyways, so what's the problem with them doing gens faster???
0 -
Funny part, I 4k’d three of those team (except Meg)
I didnt complain about Gen speed…
0 -
Im pretty sure anyone lose to these exact teams will tell that this is how high MMR killers have to endure.
0 -
I saw this then I scroll down to find an endgame trapper build, my guy dont complain if you are gonna run a build like this (I play fun builds all the time but I dont complain when I lose lol)
1 -
Gamer, the first thing you mentioned was literally BNPs.... 😅
2 -
But mentioned =/= complaining
Where did I complain?
0 -
Ok allow me to reword and answer your question. You win against these teams by playing anything other than a goofy trapper build. What I meant was; the question is invalid when we can literally see you faced them with an endgame trapper build.
1 -
I prefer to see how people claim they're skilled enough to be in high MMR and struggle with 4 slowdown first.

- Equip Forced Hesitation.
- Proxy-camp 1st hook.
- Watch as survivors are possessed by altruism and swarm the hook.
- ???
- Profit.

This was the last game I played tonight, and oof, this was just aweful. Stuff like this gladly doesn't happen too often, but this was on of the Bully squads of legend. They constantly harrassed and mocked me and wouldn't allow a single hook, if they could prevent it. The 4K were just a phyrric victory and gloss over who was the true winner of this match. They didn't even touch gens, just constantly blesses totems for that Exponential effect and then ran besides me to trigger Break Out or sabo the hook if needed, it was pure hell.

camp

I played against sabo team once. Somehow I used Iron grab, Mad grit, Agitation just for fun…didnt go well for them. Pure luck.
Using PH againt this team was also pure luck..

MMR has a soft cap, but assuming you mean strong teams its not as hard as you think barring the map. You just need to make sure you apply macro gameplay and can play the killer you are playing effectively. Camp and tunnel at the CORRECT times as well if you need to but this does not come up super often.
0 -
Off topic but your build looks fun.
0 -
What are you doing then? The way you've posted your OP certainly comes across like you are.
0 -
People who load in like that are typically not chill. They play to win.
1 -
Even bad players play to win lol
1 -
Dodge that lobby cause they came to play harder than I would ever come to play.
0 -
idk just play normal. Bully squads tend to be bad most of the time.
0 -
None of them were bully squad, Clau team was tried hard though, Meg team was the best.
I never dodge lobby.
0 -
I see. Its just bully squads often do what they did with the same surv same cosmetics etc. i see u brought a endgame Trapper build. Love me sum endgame perks
0 -
According to this forum, most people just mess around with their friends and are just having fun.
2 -
Contrary to popular belief, those things aren't mutually exclusive from wanting to win.
0 -
Oh right I forgot, they want to have fun by dominating. Don’t be disingenuous: the “having fun” crap is code for wanting to win without having to try hard.
2 -
You can do fun and inefficient things like going for flashlight saves, sabo plays or meme builds but also be trying to escape.
It's like doing a perk randomizer for Killer for me. Am I having fun? Yup. Am I still trying to win? Yup.
Just because you cannot fathom people wanting to have fun AND wanting to win doesn't mean people can't.
