Ghost Face vs Wraith

Have done fifteen killer vs killer threads over the years and this will be nr 16. A bit surprised I had not done this one before. Not long ago GF got a few buffs so this should be pretty close? Lets go same two questions as always:

Who in your opinion would you class as the better/stronger killer of these two and why?

And which one of them is most fun to play?

Are we including Add Ons? If so I'd go with Wraith. Even his yellow add ons make him much better, and the removal of being burnt by flashlights has greatly improved his strength.

Good question but I do think people making tier lists are thinking like an overall look at the killers. Or Myers could be A-tier playing with best build and addons, but no one puts him that high. So idk it's up to you 😀

I saw that Otzdarva put GF one tier above Wraith in his latest tier list and it got me thinking about this since I mostly have thought of Wraith as stronger. But I very rarely play them since I find both quite boring to play.

Wraith is better, and it's really no contest. His stealth is more consistent, he has good mobility and hit and run, as well as the post-uncloak speed boost which is useful at some pallets. He can also use his cloaked speed to cut off Survivors from Windows or Pallets.

Ghostface doesn't really have any chase power or mobility, just the ability to instadown sometimes. He is a fun killer to play but he's really not all that good in the grand scheme of things. Plus he has to deal with Reveal and Stalk jank.

wraith, better chase better addons better stealth and doesn't take much effort to play.

while ghostface is so much work and even then it's not worth it

but if we did gf vs myers or pig i can see him being better than both.

Wraith is infinitely better than Ghostface. Can't rob Wraith of his power by looking at him.

Ghostface requires too much mental processing power to be successful for most people. Wraith is very simple, quick, and easy to utilize. If I recall Hens showcased a Wraith main who didn't play comp that could even stand a chance against comp SWFs (winning 2/3 matches) without camping or tunneling, and arguably with camping/tunneling he might have won the 3rd game as well.

The only jank aspects Ghosty has to deal with is 200+ ping Survivors revealing him, kind of like the opposite of Huntress hitting people through walls/around corners hurting the Killer now. The other jank aspect is how he was designed with client sided leaning, and when they swapped to servers the lean function checks with the server before allowing it. Just swap lean to client sided and that fixes most of his jank. Stalking is clean and effective when you play him enough to understand the stalk logic, similar to Singularity pod infection. If you play either, then you get a good transferable skill in dealing with the other.

Wraith is stronger by a distance.
