You can't merge yet but you can link in preparation for the merge

By "merging" do you mean just being able to use progress from a single account or do you mean combining progress from both accounts.
Ive been waiting to get my Demogorgan back on PC, so I hope I can combine progress.

Seems like it. Other Games on Playstation also get Cross-Progression with Switch, Xbox and PC too, like Warframe for example. It seems Sony is finally on board. Thank god.

It was an interview with one of their lead game designers. It was posted on May 23rd 2023. Try to type in 'Dead by Daylight Crossprogression' and you should find it.

Hello, just want to manage some expectations here...this is purely for account linking and NOT Cross Progression. There is unfortunately no update as to when / if cross progression will be available other than the current listed platforms.

What in the world is the point of linking your PS account if you cannot merge it? Seems silly to allow it but then not allow Cross Progression, especially since only 2 BHVR games are even on PS and the others are all Steam exclusives. What a disappointment, ya'll knew what you were doing when you for some random useless reason decided to allow account linking.

One more time we had high expectations about BHVR, and this its a terrible mistake. Embarrassing. 7 years, 2023, and u still cant change your plataform without lose everything. Shame

As much as we appreciate an official clarification, playing with people's expectations is so dissapointing. For a loyal fanbase that has supported DBD through it's good and bad, this is terribly wrong. Putting a console link option in the same panel of Stadia and Epic cross progression? What does this serve exactly, a function that does literally nothing. Maybe a trick so players can fall in the rabbit hole and purchase the 60% off dlc console deals? From all the games I play, DBD feels the unluckiest one. For a game that stores so much progress and content in each's account, the fact that we cannot (for nearly 3 years after it's announcement) have access to our stuff from different platforms is utterly embarassing. Giving a fortune to 3 different platforms so I can buy content that I've ALREADY bought to keep up with my original account is not in my plans. Please treat the people who keep playing your game despite it's growing flaws with decency, it's very much lost these days.
