The reality of Decisive Strike's impact now
Decisive Strike was mostly hated on because it activated during endgame, usually guaranteeing all survivors left in the game to escape since the unhooked person would body block so that other survivors wouldn't get downed. The killer would be forced to pick you up in hopes of you not having DS otherwise you would just crawl out. The five second stun wasn't anything too crazy but it punished tunneling and that was really good.
I've only seen DS in action a couple times in my games now and to say it's worse than current dead hard is an understatement. DS is absolutely useless against Nurse. It takes a single blink to knock you back down. DS is useless against all high mobility killers in fact (which are usually the most played killers I go against). If there isn't a vault or pallet too close to you, you're going down again. With Dead Hard, you can gain major distance and you can use it twice unlike DS. It also doesn't have a countdown to where it's not usable anymore. Since I'm comparing a perk to literal Dead Hard, you know it's bad.
With tunneling at five gens being rather common in the competetive environment, why is there no perk to actually counter it? Why are we so focused on camping when perks like Reassurance exist? Having one teammate gone at four gens is an instant loss and there's no point carrying on with the game.

Yea, the double nerf wasn't needed for ds in 6.1 and i really hope they revert it. At the moment it does basically nothing vs killers with actual chase powers unless you are right next to or already in a loop and even vs m1 killers they'll catch up in like 5 seconds after the stun. Im pretty hopeful it will be reverted/buffed after seen pop get buffed tho

It was such a terrible change. When I saw the Nurse eat DS and then catch up with them in a single blink...

The double nerf was a theme on all the perks. None of them needed the double nerfs, but they received them. Iron WIll,Pop,DS,etc etc.

Endgame ds was quite honestly nowhere near as problematic as body blocking with ds, which itself hardly mattered in endgame since teammates could bodyblock anyways, you would think they wouldve fixed that but ofc not, but still both ds and dh are still amazing perks so i mean, ig your comparison is right lol

Even better, they made a perk that was only good at body blocking and not anti turbo tunneling - OTR! It's so stupid.

Body blocking was always a problem, DS or not. DS just gave unhooked survivors incentive to do it injured and not feel at risk, just like when you're healthy and taking hits. Off The Record does the same but way better, just like @averagemikaelamain said. It also lasts way longer than DS so it's hard to expect. Body blocking with DS is VERY obvious and you can easily tell they have it.
Also, are we being satire about Dead Hard and Decisive being amazing perks? If they were slightly amazing they would be in the meta, right? Also, Dead Hard is only a one-time use perk. Once you pull it off once, the killer isn't going to fall for it again.

5 second stun DS could be abused with Head On to lock killers for 8 seconds, I don't want to go against such teams again.

It's because the perk itself sounds overpowered. You read the description and you feel like it prevents tunneling altogether. You'll sometimes get value out of it because you're lucky enough to be downed near a loop but usually you're in a dead zone instead.
As Wesker says: "You're merely postponing the inevitable!"
